What Does It Mean to Honor Your Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way?

I am writing this post because I have received a few questions in regards to what it really means to honor your ancestors in the Kemetic Shaman way.  So, I will try not to make this too long but before explaining how to Honor Your Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way, what needs to be understood about African American spirituality is that it is uniquely different from Caribbean, Latin American spirituality and African spirituality, because the African American experience was not like any other.

As I have mentioned before when the Africans were brought to the Americas. Most of the Africans taken to Cuba, Haiti and Brazil were fortunate enough to smuggle some of their ancestral artifacts, which allowed them to transplant their religious beliefs into the “New World.”  As a result, when these Africans taken to the Spanish and Portuguese (and eventually French) controlled territories. They were able to syncretize their indigenous religious beliefs with the predominant European faith Roman Catholicism to create Lukumi (also known as Santeria), Vodun, Palo Mayombe, Candomble, Macumba, Umbanda and so on.  Consequently, these Africans were able to continue their religious beliefs and practices relatively undisturbed, which is termed La Regla (Spanish meaning “religious” Rule).

But, the Africans taken to North America did not have the same luck because the Europeans and Euro-Americans in the British controlled New World were Protestants.  This made it virtually impossible for those Africans who had an elaborate pantheon such as the Akan, Yoruba, Fon, etc. to syncretize their religious beliefs with no saints. Also, unlike the Africans taken to the Caribbean and South America countries, whose oppressors tried to justify the enslavement of Africans by forcing them to convert to Catholicism. The Protestants in North America for the longest time refused to Christianize the Africans in North America, out of fear that the concept of spiritual salvation would be confused with physical liberation.  This along with the fact, that many of the people from the Kongo-Angolan region were Christian or at least familiar with the Christian faith prior to the advent of the slave trade. Made it possible for many of the Africans taken to North America to practice their spiritual beliefs undisturbed based upon their ancestral recollection.

Consequently, most of the Africans in North America after relying upon their ancestral memories were able to syncretize their beliefs (as best as possible) with the indigenous populations’ beliefs and the fragmented Protestant Christianity teachings they received, to create a spirituality with no rule called in Spanish Sin la Regla (Without “religious” Rule).

Basically, what this meant was that African American spirituality developed and evolved out of trial and error.  If something did not work it was abandoned, but if it worked was incorporated and passed to succeeding generations.

Now, when Hippolyte Leon Denizard Rivail (Oct. 3, 1804 – March 31, 1869) or  Allan Kardec’s Spiritism began to spread throughout the western world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Never Forget

Since the Caribbean and South America already had a La Regla (a strong religious foundation along with the Roman Catholic framework) in place. It was relatively simple for Spiritism to be organized and to flourish, which is the reason there are strong Spiritism traditions that can be found in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil, Haiti and so on.  In North America, particularly the United States, the lack of a strong religious rule combined with attacks from the Protestant churches, prevented Spiritism from organizing and flourishing as it had done elsewhere.  However, these obstacles did not totally stop Spiritism from influencing spirituality in the United States.  It did, however, cause (quiet as kept) both the Holiness and the Pentecostal Movement to adopt, pervert and repackage concepts of the Spiritist doctrine as their own.

Consequently, most of us in the United States have been shunned by the horror film industry and the religious community from learning anything about spirits . When we ask questions about spirits, most preachers, evangelists, missionaries, theologians, etc. will try their best to discourage us from inquiring about the subject. Whenever we are in church and we witness someone get filled with the holy ghost or holy spirit. We are taught that it is not the same as possession (which it is) and that it is evidence of God, while other religions and traditions that practice spirit possession are of the devil.

Now. If you are reading this it probably because you are at a crossroad as to what to believe and all I can tell you is this. I was at a similar crossroad once upon a time at my life and a very interesting thought came to me, which was. If everyone in the church was filled with the Spirit of God, why haven’t these peoples’ lives changed? Why haven’t their communities been upgraded or improved, if according to scripture they should be renewed?  The answer that came back to me was that because these people refuse to educate themselves about the nature of spirits. Most do not know that they are possessing low ancestral spirits masquerading as “holy ghosts.” This is what made me learn about Spiritism.

Since our spirituality exists Sin La Regla (Within Any Rule), the man who introduced me to Spiritism was an old Cuban man whom I called Papa.  Papa basically taught me that Espiritisimo has no rules and goes according to how you feel. Following Papa’s advice and after communicating with my ancestors and spirits.  It was revealed to me that the Story of Osar (Asar, Osiris) was an allegory about ten tribal clans who once lived in Kemet who were immortalized. These ten clans were: Osar, Djahuti, Maat, Hru, Hru Aakhuti, Oset, Nebhet, Sokar, Npu and Set.Since our spirituality exists Sin La Regla (Within Any Rule), which means essentially no one has the right to tell us what is right or wrong, truth or untruth.  It is all about what produces the desired results and the man who introduced me to this aspect of Spiritism was an old Cuban man whom I called Papa. These ten clans were: Osar, Djahuti, Maat, Hru, Hru Aakhuti, Oset, Nebhet, Sokar, Npu and Set.

  1. Osar symbolizes our main spirit guide who coordinates all of the other guides. As far as I can tell, this guide is responsible for the synchronicity occurring in our life. Our Osar symbolizes our Higher Consciousness, which is also why he is identified with the Superconscious.
  2. Djahuti symbolizes the spirit guide that gives us messages intuitively via clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, etc.
  3. Maat symbolizes the spirit guide who teaches us and helps us to bring balance and order in our life by learning from karmic experiences.
  4. Hru Aakhuti symbolizes our protective guide who shields us from danger seen and unseen.
  5. Sokar symbolizes our healing spirit guide. This is the spirit guide who taught me the ritual that helped me to walked when I was unable to do so years ago. I will talk about this a little later down below.
  6. Hru symbolizes our justice-seeking spirit guide that fights for what we want, justice and what we believe is right.
  7. Nebhet symbolizes our creative spirit guide
  8. Npu is our gatekeeper guide that opens and closes doors for us.
  9. Oset (Aset/Isis) is our helper guide who will bring other spirits in to assist us with whatever we need help with.

In addition, we also have aakhu or ancestor spirits who are our deceased blood relatives and/or people we may have known or may have known us from past lives, etc.

Again, without going too much into detail, together these nine tribal clans symbolize a unified consciousness within us. Since Set usurped the throne of Osar and created chaos throughout Kemet by destroying the unity among the clans.

  1. Set is the name used to symbolize our lowest (ego) nature, which is why he is personified as our lower consciousness and our subconscious. The aapepu (misguided, confused, chaotic ancestral spirits) symbolize our skeletons in the closes sort of speak.

I have found that building a rapport with our spirit guides is very helpful for numerous reasons, too many to mention.  For instance, as most of you know, my person was diagnosed with lupus and there was a time when I literally could not walk. It was so painful that I could not even stand to go to the restroom.  Enters my Sokar. I do not even know how I got the idea but all I know is that my Sokar came to me in the form of icon Lazarus. The ritual that was shared with me was to buy a Lazaro (Saint Lazarus) statue and promise to take his crutches away if he helped me to walk.  I was also inspired to dance, which is an activity that the Yoruba orisha Babaluaiye (who is syncretized with Saint Lazarus and Sokar) was fond of.  Now, I had done the ritual maybe for a couple of days, I can’t remember now. All I know is that one day, there was a leak in my basement and I found myself running up and down the stairs. I think after the seventh time of running down the stairs, that’s when it dawned on me that I was walking. So, now I continue to honor my Sokar with a Lazaro statue.

So, Honoring the Kemetic Shaman way refers to seeing the Kemetic energies/spirits within and outside of you. Family. Kemet is alive and well because it is within us who have been called to this path. Don’t get caught up in the Hotep Game thinking that you have to have Egyptian artifacts to be on the Kemetic path.  Your  Mind-Spirit does not know the difference between color, ethnicity and creed.  You have to understand that these are energies and because we are a microcosm of a Great Macrocosm, these energies exist outside and within us.  To honor the Kemetic Shaman Way is to work the Spirit from the Kemetic perspective.  For instance,  Maat doesn’t always manifest herself rocking a single feather headdress. I know a lot of people who will tell you that their Maat has come to them as a Native American spirit or even as an indigenous African spirit. You never know, but this is the reason you have to build a rapport with your ancestors and guides.

Hope that helps.

God’s Purpose is Not to Fix IT for You (The Misconceptions About Salvation)

3 11 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family

In this day and age, there are a lot of people talking about becoming or being more spiritual but they overlook one of the most quoted biblical scriptures and simplest, yet most difficult practices, which is to “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.”

The reason most of us overlook this scripture and misinterpret the practice is because we have all been taught that God is a tyrannical deity who stands billions of miles over earth and hurls thunderbolts at the wicked. Sidebar: Yeah, most people still do not believe that they are really worshipping an aspect of the Greek god Zeus but that’s another story.

Consequently, because of our view of God we have been taught that God can fix anything and everything, so we always put God last. That’s right! We have been taught to make every decision and do everything without God, and when things do not go right…

Pray and beg God to fix it.

For instance, spend all of your money on frivolous purchases but when you do not have any money. Pray to God to fix it.

Misuse your body by eating whatever you like, ingesting whatever substances you desire, want,  and abusing your body with lack of physical exercises.  Then, when you are diagnosed with an illness. Pray to God to fix it.

Talk to your love one anyway you want. Disrespect him or her publicly and privately. Cheat behind his or her back. Then, when he or she says, “I love you but I cannot live with you.” Now, it is time to, let the church say, “Pray to God to fix it.”

Image result for zeus

According to Greek mythology Zeus is a rapist, a terrible husband, horrible father, murderous son, a deceitful brother, and an egotistical grandson, yet people still don’t understand why America is the way it is.

Family. If God could fix everything, why doesn’t God fix everything and everyone anyway? Is God bias?  Put aside the childish idea that God has a plan to save everyone by having everyone experience misery. Again, that is the greek god Zeus who deliberately places hardships in peoples’ paths solely for entertainment or to be “saved.” So, first lets understand that it is not God but god (Zeus) that most people worship.

The Supreme Being or Creator of us all is the creator of everything.  This means that the Creator is not bias, which is the reason the same air that fills our lungs also fills the lungs of our enemies.  The reason the Creator does not save is because it is the Creator who is Perfect and we are striving for perfection. Thus, “saving us” does us a big disservice because it does help us to grow, mature and learn our lesson. Imagine saving a child learning how to walk from falling every time, they would never learn how to get back up after falling.

This means that the god most people are worshipping is not only hindering them but trying to keep them in an infantile mind state, by saving some and not all.  This of course is a fallacy, because only you can save yourself and this is done by going within instead of seeking god outside of our being.

The reason we all have made this same grave error (even those of us in the spiritual community) is because we were taught to worship a bias, tyrannical deity outside of our being.  We were never taught that the true Kingdom of God is within and it is our Higher Self. Since we were not taught that the Kingdom of God is within and it is our Higher Self, we ignore all of the gut wrenching impulses that our Higher Self gives us throughout life.

If we were taught to communicate with our Higher Self properly, then it would have told us that it might not be wise to buy that lava lamp.  It would have told us that s/he is crazy and will fill your life with all sorts of drama. If we knew how to communicate with our Higher Self, we would have heard it telling us “Don’t consume anymore or you are going to be hugging the porcelain bowl later.”

The scripture should have read “Seek ye first the Kingdom (of God) within” and then proceed, which means talk to your Higher Self and ask is the choice or decision you are about to make regarding your money a wise one.  Ask your Higher Self before consuming and/or ingesting anything if it is right for you.  Ask your Higher Self, will the individual you are attracted to be good for you and then, ask it to guide you through the relationship if so.

Remember our Higher Self is wise, omnipotent and omnipresent, which is the reason our Kemetic ancestors symbolized it as Osar (Osiris).  Our Osar is always near and ready to serve but it will not intercede on our behalf unless called upon to do so or an extreme emergency. Most people call upon their Osar only during an emergency because we have been conditioned to be reactive, but our ancestors achieved greatness by choosing to be proactive.

Here are some simple ways to be proactive in the morning:

Upon waking up in the morning repeat the following declaration (as many times as you like), “Thank you for a peaceful, fun, productive and financially prosperous day.”

This simple declaration affirms that you are going to have “a peaceful, fun, productive and financially prosperous day.”  You don’t know how it is going to happen but you are affirming that your Osar will make it occur. I must say, I have practiced this and situations that I thought were going to be difficult had mysteriously smoothed themselves out. Note, results will vary based upon an individual’s conditionings, which is the reason when affirmations are not applied correctly they have varying results.  By repeating (or chanting) the declaration prior to getting out of bed causes the command to be more receptive because you are in twilight trance state. Now, if you cannot chant the declaration when you get up, no worries. You can chant it anytime you are doing some menial tasks like taking a shower, washing dishes, doing chores, driving, etc. because these are all times that our Higher Self can speak to us.

Another way to be proactive is as I stated earlier, talk to your Osar before making a choice or decision. Your Osar will usually answer back quickly but if you are not receiving a quick response it is because your stress and worry about the situation at hand is preventing the answer from coming through clearly. Simply relax, which is usually hard to do when you are in crisis so instead, meditate, take a shower, wash some dishes, do some chores, take a drive, go to sleep, etc. because these are all times that your Osar can speak to you without being interrupted by your lower self or Set.  This is the reason many spiritual disciplines recommend that you do a charitable act so that you can shift your focus off of your lower self or Set, hence the reason Osar is also the Lord of Unity.

If we were a little more proactive, we would easily find our self being less and less reactive, which means that we would not be so easily swayed by our emotions.

Creating Permanent Positive Change through Invocation

5 08 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, if you grew up in the church, a religious or Christian household, you know that the one practice that is heavily stressed is prayer. We are instructed that if we are sick, having money issues, problems with our family, needing a raise on our job, etc. We are instructed to pray because…prayer changes things.

But, what I have learned over the years is that this is not entirely true. I remember the first time I got into a bind and really tried to pray to God for some help.  Like many young Black males in the City of Detroit during the mid-1980s, I was trying to avoid the crack related violence occurring all over the city. I had attended church all of my young life but when I entered my teen years, I was no longer under the protection of my parents’ spiritual grace. So, I tried my best to pray and ask God to help me but, my request fell on deaf ears.

I remember asking more experienced people at my parents’ church how to pray and why I felt that my prayer was not being answered.  The response these people told me, led me to believe that my prayers were not being answered because I did not have faith.  Since, I did not have faith, it was like oh well, too bad, so sad, go get some faith and suffer until I did so for God to help me.

I remember I after hearing this, I walked away contemplating suicide because in my young mind.  It was reasoned that God did not want me because I was not one of the “Chosen Ones.”

Fortunately, thanks to intervention from my ancestors and spirit guides I was saved and directed to take an alternative path.  It was through this alternative path that I learned that the reason prayer does not work and for that matter affirmation, positive thinking, creative visualization, rituals and even magick a lot of times does not work is because as many church going people claim, “the lack of faith.” But, it is not because of the lack of faith in God.

It is the lack of faith in oneself and their belief in God. Now, the reason most people lack faith in them selves in regards to their belief in God is because we have been taught to fear the Divine and that to question anything in regards to the Divine is considered blasphemous. Now, that we are adults, we can put aside these superstitions and recognize that the reason we have all been drawn to understanding the nature of our being in regards to the Divine, is because deep within our being.  We understand that the secret to knowing the Divine lies in understanding our mind.

Understanding the KAMTA (Spiritual) and TASETT (Physical)  Aspect of Our Being

So, in order to have faith in our self in regards to the belief of God, we must learn to think differently about ourselves and our relationship to the Divine.  This means understanding that we are all made in the image of the Divine and that everything that exists in the Universe exists within us in an infinitely small scale. Since our Universe is composed of energy/matter, everything that has been discovered and undiscovered both energy/matter can be found within our being.  Everything that we see and do not see in the Universe can be found within our being as well.  Therefore, metaphysically we say that both the visible, physical realm (TASETT – the Red Lands) and the invisible, spiritual realm (KAMTA) can be found within our being. Psychologically speaking, the visible, habitual or TASETT part of our being corresponds to our subconscious or sahu, while the invisible, unusual or KAMTA part of our being corresponds to our Superconscious or BA.

Therefore, there is a known, familiar, habitual, subconscious part (sahu) of our being symbolized as TASETT, which is based upon our beliefs and.  An unknown, unfamiliar and inhabitual or unusual, Superconscious (BA) part of our being symbolized as KAMTA that is based upon our knowing.

Understand, the difference between belief and knowing is that beliefs are based upon observable events and things that occur in one’s environment. Beliefs are usually communicated to us by someone we see as an authority figure such as our parents, other adults, teachers, leaders, politicians, etc. Beliefs are subjective, meaning they change based upon an individual’s cognizance, maturity, intelligence and experience, which is why most people believe in God.  However, knowing is based upon an individual’s inner-sperience or insperience. Knowing does not change, meaning that when you know something such as 2+2 =4, you cannot go back and unlearn it.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being.

It should be noted that the root of the word TASETT is Set, who is personification of our sah (subconscious ego-self) and the spirit of chaos, confusion, calamity, storms, etc.  This means that since our lives are based upon either our beliefs or knowing., most of our problems in life are due to the fact that we live our life on autopilot based upon our sahu (subconscious) beliefs and not our BA  (Superconscious) knowing. For instance, although most of us know that life is full of shades of gray, we believe that life is black and white. Although we know that we are all unique individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, we erroneously believe that we should all have the same morals, ethics, standards, etc. and if we do not, we label one another as being crazy, etc. When the truth of the matter is that when an individual does not act or behave in the appropriate manner, it is because they are living their lives based upon their erroneous beliefs and not knowing, which is symbolized as living under the sway of Set. Understand, obstacles, problems, trials, etc. are simply signs that we are in an unfamiliar situation that we have no knowledge of.  The problems become worse when we try to resolve them based upon our limited belief system within our sahu because the purpose of the sahu is not to solve problems but to help us to physically survive. Problem solving is a task assigned to our BA – the knowing part of our being, which is the reason KAMTA is ruled by Osar, the ultimate judge, spirit of knowledge, peace, wisdom, stability, prosperity and tranquility.

KAMTA is the Kemetic term our Nilotic ancestors gave us to remind us that our greatest potential is within like the dark fertile soil of southern Kemet or the dark and mysterious starry night sky.  Therefore, new actions, behaviors, creative ideas, etc. must be cultivated from out of the deep recesses of our mind or out of KAMTA. This is the mysterious part of our being which means we are not supposed to understand it logically. This also means that we are all genius, we are all brilliant, we are all amazing individuals but in order for us to be geniuses, brilliant and amazing individuals we have to cultivate this mindset from within and make it a new habit. Simply repeating an affirmation, visualizing, praying, etc. means nothing if it is not cultivated within and made into knowing. People who are geniuses, brilliant and amazing do not believe they are geniuses, brilliant and amazing. They know it.

How Do You Cultivate Knowing?

The way to cultivate knowing is by practicing following your intuition. Before I continue, remember ideas coming from our BA (Superconscious) symbolized as a KAMTA are going to be strange, unfamiliar and even a little weird but they will never put you in harms way, endanger you or force you to go against your ethics.

Remember, this is the part of our being that we are unfamiliar with, so to tap into it you have to do something that is out of the ordinary. For instance, when my wife and I got married, we both wanted a child. Like many married couples desiring to have a child, we stressed about it and even talked to an obstetrician to discuss our concerns, which is the sahu approach.

Then, my wife found a Bes statue. Bes, in Kamta belief is a “civilized” African faery/dwarf spirit who protects children, households from negative spirits and assists women in pregnancy.  Since he works closely with Nebhet (Nephthys)– the Lady of the House and Npu (Anubis)– the Kemetic Messenger spirit, I painted him red black, white and yellow. Now, I remember my wife placed the Bes statue in our living room and then he moved to our bedroom. Next, she offered him pieces of candy and then one day, I offered him a glass of Red Stripe beer, which are all BA practices.

The next thing I know, one day my wife and I were joking around a little bit more than usual. I found myself spontaneously dancing for no reason, almost as if I was teenage boy flirting with her.  This went on for a long time during the month of February.  To make a long story short, almost a month after meeting the obstetrician, I had to go out of town for a conference. On the third day of the conference in March, my wife called me with some important news and told me she was pregnant.

Today, when I reflect back and think about that entire scenario of how our daughter was conceived, I tell you that Bes did not descend out of the ether into my wife and my body.  Bes was already present because he existed within the deep recesses of my mind or KAMTA and consequently, Bes manifested out of the darkness of my higher spirit. The offerings that were given to him were mental triggers to activate this spirit within my wife and I, so that he came into the light.  The funny thing was that during the pregnancy, my wife began to take on the form of Bes’ wife Tawret.

Now, if you are new to this and it sounds weird it is because you are relying on the intellect of your sahu (subconscious) and trying to figure it out but this is not the purpose of your sahu.  It is our BA’s responsibility to solve our problems. We are simply supposed to say, “Hey, I want x, y and z” and our BA is supposed to figure out how to make it happen.

Remember, the knowing part of your being does not need you to understand how it works.  My wife and I did not question how we were going to become pregnant. We focused on knowing that we would by allowing the BA (Superconscious) part of our being to figure out the details.

For some people, this sounds bizarre because you have seen pictures and/or film of people prostrated before some strange idol. These same images usually label the followers as being pagan, primitive and overly superstitious people who will give these idols anything their first born.  Sorry people, this is all fantasy created by so-called monotheistic people who have no understanding about how their mind works. True positive and permanent change is based upon connecting with our BA using images and symbols to awaken our potential.

Why I Use Vodou as a Black Man in America

17 07 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, I was 16 years old and my mother had sent my 12-year-old brother and I to the store to get a few items so that she could make lunch for us and my father when he returned home from work. The Famer Jack grocery store was almost a half-a-mile from the house, so as usual my brother and I told each other jokes as we walked to and from the store. On our way back from the store as we were walking home and carrying plastic grocery bags, a squad car out of nowhere, came to a screeching stop on the side of the road. Two white officers jumped out of the car and asked where we were coming from. Scared as hell, we said the store. Then, the officers told us to go to the side of the car, while they frisked us.  Finding nothing, they jumped back in the car and sped off down the street.

As my brother and I picked up the groceries off the ground, while seeing passerby ride by us. All I could remember was feeling shame, frustrated, fear and anger all at the same time. My brother and I were speechless for the rest of the walk home.

When we got home, my father had just arrived and my mother asked us why did it take so long.  We told them that the cops had pulled us over. I remember telling my parents that I wanted to run from them but, my parents told my brother and I did the right thing. We were not guilty of anything so there was no reason to run but, still I was angry, embarrassed, upset, and frustrated because the way it sounded.  It was normal for the police to do this. The officers did not offer any apology or anything, as if they assumed that my brother and I were probably up to no good, just not today.

This was the first time I experienced being powerless but understood that it was not about being right but about surviving.  This incident made me think about all of those other kids who did not have parents or some wise adult in their sphere to tell them to focus on surviving and not on what was right. It made me think about one of my great uncles who was murdered by a white man during the Jim Crow era and justice was not served because my uncle was Black. It also made me think about all of those untold stories of Black men and women who were murdered all throughout history.

But, the incident also made me see a big chink in Christianity because I remembered thinking how could you believe that Jesus protects you but you see police harassment and brutality as a part of life?  I mean no disrespect to my parents and older generations who have had to deal with this nonsense. I understand that is what they had to do at the time and no matter how much we, in the younger generation(s), may disagree with the choices made by those in the Civil Rights era. The facts are, those people made sacrifices by being attacked by dogs, having fire houses opened on them, etc., in order for us to talk to today. For that, I am extremely appreciative and grateful but, we live in a different time now and I do not have to live by the Christian Golden Rule.

Now, I pay homage to my warrior spirits because the blood of Jesus only covered a fraction of my being, but my spirits cover all of me like the cape of Spawn, because they are the warrior aspect of my BA (Higher Self/Superconscious).

Ever since I have come into the understanding of who I AM, I know that I shape my reality.  I know that what works for “them” does not work for me and vice versa.  And, that’s why as a Black Man, I thank God for the Vodou, which gives me a different way of seeing.  Please note, that by the term Vodou I am referring to the rebellious African spirit and Bantu-Kongo cosmological thinking in the western society.

For instance, after coming into my own, the last time I was pulled over by the cops, it was Maat who oversaw the whole incident. It was at night and a cop pulled me over because my rear lights were out. Then, the cop escorted me to the nearest auto parts store so that I could replace the fuse that had blown.

The point that I am making, is that we need to stop being hypocritical. It absolutely drove me crazy hearing my parents and their generation talk about the goodness of Jesus and how powerful the blood of Jesus was in one breath but, then complain how the “man” kept them down, harassed and brutalized them, as if “the man” was more powerful than God.

I hear people today saying a similar thing. They talk about how we are gods and goddesses but then complain about how the “man” or some other conspiracy is working on them. I mean, if you claim to be a god or goddess…SHOW AND PROVE!

African Spirituality SAVES You MONEY

3 07 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Have you ever been in a situation where you are pressed to make a decision on something even though you do not have all of the facts? Well, I was in one of those situations.  It started as an opportunity that seemed to come to me out of nowhere and as I am trying to relax so that I can see the whole situation clearly.  I am being bombarded with more and more details of just how great this opportunity is and why I should jump on it.

So, I try to sleep on it (as people say) and later that night I have a dream.  I dreamt that I was in the backseat of a van (meaning I have no control where the vehicle is going) and we’re going into this real sketchy town that I learn later (in the dream) that the people are cannibals (another omen that s*** is about to get real).

But, I am still being bombarded with these messages that this is a great opportunity and I need to make a move. Again, I check myself to make sure that I am not hesitating because of subconscious fear.

So, your boy does some deep breathing but it does not work because I am too close to it. I try to take a hot shower and still nothing. Then, my wife seeing I am stressed massages my shoulders, neck and scalp with lavender oil. It does the trick.

Npu (Anubis) - The Opener of the Way

Npu (Anubis) – The Opener of the Way

I get a visit from my ancestor to check out something before making a decision, so I give an offering to her and other ancestors to express my gratitude.  So, I get my tablets out and do a reading about the situation, which led me to talk to my Npu.  I am reminded that Npu deals with obstacles so I tell him, “Hey, open the way. There are too many obstacles with this ish. “

The next day, my head is clearer and I discuss the facts with my wife. I decide to tell all the parties involve that I am not making a move until I get assurance.  I explain to them that if things are meant to be then, ways will open and that I am not about to push a square block into a peg hole.

So, the ball starts rolling the way I decide.

What I was experiencing is what many term as artificial synchronicities.

Artificial synchronicities are engineered to drain, distract, mislead, sabotage or suppress one from seeing.  In other words, artificial synchronicities are designed to get you to ignore your intuition by bombarding you with a lot of information, usually misinformation.

Natural synchronicities come from your Higher Self or your BA. It is your BA/Higher Spirits/the Universe’s way of letting you know that a quantum shift if imminent, which can be either smooth or emotionally charge. The purpose of natural synchronicities is to confirm a decision you have made and forecast the progress of your decision.

Most people get caught up in artificial synchronicities because if you were like me, born and raised in the church, you don’t the difference between the natural and artificial synchronicities. You were raised to see all synchronicities as a blessing and to act on (blind) faith.

How do you know the difference between the two? Usually, artificial synchronicities always seen to need you to rush to do it or you will miss out on the opportunity. They are always forceful and rushed and seem to require no planning but, we live in a cause and effect world. Nothing happens accidentally, coincidentally or haphazardly.  When things seem too good to be true, usually they are but that’s the reason you need to have an oracle to help you to see through the smoke.

If I had not had done a reading with my tablets, had the dream, the visit from my ancestor and the idea to get my Npu to work, I would have been out of a lot of money because I believed “it was meant to be” instead of looking at all of the facts. One of the purposes of approaching spirituality from the Kemetic perspective is to remove some of ambiguities in life. Yes, African Spirituality saves you money, time and energy.  Don’t be fooled. The reason “sleepyheads” don’t want us to communicate with our ancestors, use divination systems, etc. is because they know it works and want us to continue to be under their foot. The tide is changing and it start with you doing you.

How to Shift from a Religious Mindset to Spiritual/Magical/God Mindset?

You know, a lot of people are still having a difficult time on making the transition to spirituality because they are stuck in this Judeo-Christian paradigm. If you have read all the books on how Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all based upon Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) science. You know how all these major religions are the main culprit for most of the atrocities that have occurred on the planet such as the genocide of the Amerindians (indigenous cultures throughout the Americas), the enslavement of Africans and the numerous wars fought in the name of “God.” You know that all the stories you have learned in the major religions make no logical sense like God has the power to make everything but needs a rib from Adam to make a woman? And, the Great Flood story, where similar stories have been found in South America, the Pacific Islands and even in Asia. But, still you are having difficulties taking that final step it is because you have taken steps to understand the power of your mind.

Remember, our mind is composed of three parts: BA (Superconscious/Higher Spirit), sahu (subconscious/lower spirit) and Ab (conscious/spiritual heart/soul).  Most people live their life on autopilot, which is governed by the sahu but the omnipotent and omniscient part of our being is our BA. It is our BA that automatically connects us to the Divine, but most religions will not teach this because they want us to continue to believe that the Divine is billions of miles away outside of our being.

The BA has a human head and body of a hawk to indicate that it is the Superconscious (Divine Spark) that connects us back to the Divine, but it will only manifest what we think and believe (human head).

Once you understand how your mind works, then you will see that most of the stories in the “religious” books were not meant to be taken literally. It is all an allegory.  This is the reason most of the stories do not make any sense. Once you make this realization, it will become crystal clear that people are misinterpreting something that was supposed to be metaphorical in the first place. For instance, people are fighting over if Jesus taught this way or that way, when the truth of the message is Jesus was not even real. The stories were all about resurrecting the Jesus within you or connecting with your BA.

So, you see, all the major religions are based upon the sahu, which is why they focus on ethics, morality and commanding you on what you should and should not do. In other words, all the major religious are based upon social control.  To put it plainly, all the major religions are political. All the major religions have nothing to do with spirituality or on teaching you how to work with your BA.  This is the reason you have such a distaste for them and feel a calling for something more outside of the normal routine.

And, there lies the secret to shifting to a spiritual/magical/GOD mindset.

You must do something different or think outside of the box. Einstein said it best and I paraphrase, “You cannot use the same type of thinking to solve a problem, that created the problem in the first place.” All our problems were created either unintentionally or intentionally via our sahu and religious conditionings. So, we cannot rely upon it to resolve our problems. We must tap into our BA. In other words, everything that the establish religions taught us not to do, you need to do.

The church says pray to God in heaven, then you talk to God within. (Yes talk to Your Self).

The church says don’t practice magic because it is evil, then practice magic because it must be good.

The church says don’t venerate your Ancestors because if you do you are going to go to hell, then venerate your ancestors because they will help you to understand how to get out of hell you are in.

The church says building an altar to a deity is a sin against God, then build an altar to a deity to resurrect your God within.

Everything that established religions have taught us as the norm was basically to make us conform and be a follower, a sheep, a piece meat led to the slaughter. Basically, everything that the established religions have taught regarding our spiritual development, we must abandon and do the direct opposite to liberate ourselves.

You must remember that if these established religions were so good for us, there would not be a church, temple, mosque, etc. on every corner.

You Cannot Offend God…Com’on Grow Up

8 06 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know back in the day there was this real popular church musical that my Mom and I remember all of her friends wanted to see called Your Arms Too Short to Box With God. The title was catchy and I remember people going nuts trying to see this sold out musical.  But it conveyed a message that sticks with many of us today despite not actively participating in the church.

The message is that somehow we think we can offend the Supreme Being.

I mean, I have come across people alleging to be “woke” and reciting the 42 Laws of Maat (the 42 Declarations of Maat) all because they do not want to offend the Creator, which is just baffling to me.

Look, it is real simple.

If God is omnipotent, omniscient and so awesome as most people say God is.  Why is it that people think that they can offend God? I mean if we could offend God by saying a cuss word, lying, being dishonest, etc. What does that say about our god who is so easily offended, yet is supposed to know everything including our weaknesses?  If you don’t want to say it because your Set (ego) has you scared and shook, then I will say it for you. If our God is so easily offended then it means that our God is WEAK!

There. I said it. I know, I am going to get struck down by lightning by God, but sorry it is actually Zeus who strikes human beings down with lightning because he is easily offended.  Not our Perfect Creator, Nebertchar or Nzambi Mpungo.

If we really knew who God was we would understand that God is too abstract and incomprehensible for us to understand. This means that God does not discriminate and does not have any likes and dislikes. God also does not give a damn about good and evil or right and wrong because if God did the same air that fills our lungs would not have filled Hitler and every other monstrous person that has and is walking the planet.

Think about that for a minute.  God gives the breath of life to both allies and foes alike, so God does not play or pick sides. God does not favor the spider or the fly. They are all insignificant to Our Creator.

So you know that this means?

It means that human beings are like ants to God, which means God is basically a “kind” version of an antbully.

In other words, God does not really give a damn what is going on in our life, no more than you would give a damn about the life of ants and the predators that ants have to deal with. Think about that.

This means one thing. If you are going through some hell, you better tap into the Divine Power that God instilled within you because if you cry out “God save me.”  God is most likely going to respond back and say,”Save yourself.”

If you are dealing with some type of indigenous spirituality God might even add, “I gave you got Ancestors, Spirit Guides, Guardian Spirits and divination.”

Kemetic spirituality is not about being in another religion. It is about learning how to save yourself by mastering universal principles such as the Seven Codes of Maa. We cannot offend the Supreme Being. We can only offend one another. Its time to abandon these childish, fanatical, spiritually immature religious belief of the Children of God, and step into our big boy and girls underoos (underwear) and become Adults of God or simply put just Gods and Goddesses.
