What if A Black Hole is Within You?

9 03 2018

Did you know that a black hole is is a very mysterious phenomenon that exists in the universe. Although some would think that the term black signifies that it is empty space. The blackness of a black hole refers to the great amount of matter packed into a very small area.

In other words, think of a star like the Sun squeezed into a sphere whose diameter is about the size of Detroit, Michigan. The result is a very powerful gravitational force that not even light can escape.

In fact, a black hole is the most powerful phenomenon that exists in the universe, which leads one to believe that when the ancient philosophers were talking about God, maybe they were speaking about a Black Hole.

When biblical writers wrote that God said, “Let us make man in our own image.” Could it be that the forces of the Black Hole were speaking about creating your Superconscious or Higher Self personified as Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris in Greek)?

There is only one way to find out. Tap into your Godliness and discover God for yourself.

What is Kemetic Spirituality (Kamitic Spirituality, Kemeticism or Ancient Egyptian Spirituality)?

25 02 2018

Before explaining what Kemetic (also sometimes spelled Kamitic, Khamitic or Ancient Egyptian) spirituality is, it is important first to understand a little bit about the Kemetic people and their way of life.

Kamitic Map Copyright Derric Moore 2012

For starters, according to the Kemetic texts, wall art and legends, the indigenous Kemetic people consisted of a numerous tribal people who migrated from a southern land known as Kush (Ancient Nubia the modern day Ethiopia and Sudan region).  Thousands of years ago, these ancient people settled alongside the Nile River and built an agrarian culture that revolved around the annual inundation of the great river.

Pyramid structure in Ancient KushLike most indigenous cultures from around the world, the Kemetic people studied nature and developed their spirituality thereafter. The Kemetic people relied upon a bartering system for goods and services. In fact, gold was not even valued by the Kemetic people as it is today, until after it was conquered by the Romans.  This bartering system depended on the annual flooding of the Nile to make the desert soil fertile, great importance was placed on ensuring that the waters of the Nile overflowed.  Without a monetary system, if the Nile flooded it produced fertile lands, which in turn yielded a successful harvest, that allowed everyone within the country to reap the benefits. However, if the Nile did not flood and the harvest was not good, then famine reached into the homes of both the rich and the poor.

To ensure that the Nile always flooded so that they were always prosperous, early Kemetic people began making ritualistic gestures accompanied by words for a successful harvest. If the following year the harvest was a success, then the ritualistic gestures and the spoken phrases were recorded and repeated to influence next year’s harvest. If the harvest was not a success after performing a ritualistic gesture and words, then that ritual was abandoned. In time, the Kemetic people had developed three methods of ensuring that they had a successful harvest and they were: 1) Making offerings to the Nile; 2) Ingesting magical potions and inscriptions; and. 3) Petitioning their ancestors whom they believed could influence the lives of living.

Kemetic Ritual courtesy of Wikipedia.orgSince Kemet was basically an oasis that relied upon bartering, a sort of quid pro quo philosophy developed and the most abundant offerings were incense and resins.  But, because incense and resins were so prized, only the king could afford to make these offerings for the successful inundation of the Nile. In time, it became the sole responsibility of the king to perform these rituals all over the country, to ensure that all of the Kemetic citizens could prosper.   Thereby transforming the king from an ordinary man into God’s representative on earth. Basically, the Kemetic king was seen as a mediator between the spirit world and the physical world symbolized by the leopard pelt, which was also a symbol of balance and self-control or Maa. Soon it became too much for the king to perform all of these rituals and eventually it was delegated to other members of royalty and the priesthood.

In a relatively short time, the Kemetic priesthood evolved and became so powerful that they were able to challenge the king’s authority because aside from performing rituals for the Nile that ensured that everyone was prosperous. The Kemetic priesthood worked as scribes, carpenters, metalworkers, physicians and artisans that provided a host of spiritual services to the people mainly because majority of the Kemetic people were illiterate.  To service their people, the Kemetic priesthood opened its’ membership to both both men and women, a celebratory feat that is still not seen in Judaism, Christianity and Islam because of sexism.  Some of the most famous Kemetic priestesses were Queen Ahmose Nefertari, Hatshepsut’s grandmother, the priestess Tamut and there are many others who held high positions in the priesthood in the Amun spiritual tradition.

Queen Ahmose Nefertari

In fact, through the Kemetic priesthood one could elevate their social status from an illiterate farmer to a high nobleman within the community.  There are numerous accounts of common people with special skills having a change in social status because they used their skills to improve the lives of others because the priesthood allowed people to hone their talents.   It was through the priesthood that various spiritual practices were developed and beliefs were shared with other cultures that the Kemetic people encountered. Because spiritual rituals permeated every aspect of the Kemetic peoples’ life, the Kemetic people were described as being the most religious people in the ancient world.

Life for members of the Kemetic priesthood was busy because the Kemetic priesthood was a business that focused on performing spiritual rituals the people. However, the average Kemetic citizen only venerated their ancestors and celebrated local and national spirits during their festivals. In other words, the basis of Kemetic spirituality revolved around the veneration of their ancestors. For the most part, the only time the average Kemetic citizen petitioned the higher spirits, divinities or so-called gods and goddesses, is for emergency purposes such as for a successful harvest and healthy cattle.  Again, the Kemetic people focused on group prosperity and not on individual, which allowed their society to exist for thousands of years. As a result, every western system such as western religion, western government, western science, western financial structure, etc. has been inspired by the Kemetic society and has desperately tried to imitate their success.  All of these western systems that were inspired by the Kemetic culture have failed miserably to mimic the Kemetic success because western scholars focused on treasures of Kemet because their tombs were full of valuables. Instead of on the Kemetic concept of Knowledge of Self.

Consequently, many of us live in a country that may be rich in Kemetic symbolism but it is not the bearer of the Kemetic Light.

In fact, many of us do not live in an agrarian society with strong and loving rulers. We do not have a trustworthy clergy and other professionals who are concerned about our health and wellbeing. Since our contemporary society is based upon a monetary system, which places values on technological gadgets and the possession of things like shoes, clothes, a new car, home, etc. Prosperity is not based upon ethics, morality of the services that one provides other citizens but the collection of material things. In this western society, religion is not used as a means of ensuring that everyone within the country is prosperous, but instead used to incite fear in its citizens of a tyrannical deity.  In order to ensure social obedience to the wealthy ruling class and dominance over the masses’ physical and mental potential. In place of an appreciation for nature and respect for all living beings, is the exploitation of the natural resources and the manipulation and maltreatment of all human beings, especially people of color.

The rising interest in Kemetic spirituality is to return back to the days before the rise of monotheistic religions – particularly Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Since the inception of these three main western religions, which were tasked with bringing peace to all of humanity. There have been countless atrocities such as the enslavement of people of color, brutality against women and numerous wars waged in the “name of God,” who supposedly is bringing peace on earth.

Oset (Aset, Auset or Isis in Greek) and the Virgin Mary

Before the rise of these Abrahamic religions, life on earth was relatively peaceful and simple, and since most of these religions borrowed concepts and principles from the Kemetic religions and spiritual traditions. Most see Kemetic spirituality as a purer form of these religions minus the religious dogma, religious fear and guilt about God, and religious social control.

All practitioners of Kemetic spirituality strive to live their lives according to the Kemetic concept Ma’at or Maa. Maa is the Kemetic word for balance, order, truth, righteousness, etc.  The concepts of Maa can be found all throughout the Kemetic literature because it is very similar to the Chinese Tao.  But unlike Taoism whose philosophies and practices have been preserved over the ages in books and secured in Chinese culture for hundreds of years, the books about Maa have been destroyed by looters and lost in the sands of times.

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Since there are no clear concise Kemetic text explaining in detail their beliefs and practices, adherents of Kemetic spirituality have interpreted the practice of the philosophy as they desire. Most followers can be grouped into two categories: Kemetic Reconstructionists and Kemetic Shamans.

Hru (Heru, Hrw or Horus) Leading the Way and Jesus leading the Way

Kemetic Reconstructionists (KR) are usually individuals who focused on reconstructing the Kamitic/Kemetic religion of old. As a result, most KRs rely heavily on the Kemetic spiritual texts such as the Pert em Hru (so-called Egyptian Book of the Dead), the Pyramid Texts, the 42 Laws of Ma’at (the model for Moses’ Ten Commandments), etc. Most KRs may have one shrine will a host of Kemetic icons on it to demonstrate balance, which in this sense is very similar to the original Roman Catholic religion prior to the Council of Nicaea.  The various divinities are seen as archetypes and/or emissaries of God similar to how the various saints are viewed in Catholicism.

The First Divine Trinity

However, overall the central theme in most KRs practice is the Kemetic Asar (Osiris), Aset (Isis) and Hru (Horus) who are viewed as the first and original divine trinity.  In fact, most KRs view Hru (Heru, Hrw or Horus in Greek) as the original prototype or avatar of Jesus who was born of virgin birth, identified by a star in the east, adorned by three kings, a teacher at 12 years of age, performed miracles, baptized at 30, crucified, rose from the dead, etc. 3000 years before the birth of Jesus. Some KRs worship Hru similar to the way Christians worship Jesus with the distinction being that the Kemetic hero is not seen as the literal savior of humanity, but rather as a divine energy that exists within everyone and can be used to help humanity save themselves. Consequently, a lot of KR practices revolve around meditation and meditative practices that focus on merging with the God-Self within.

Kamitic Shamans or Kemetic Shamans are usually individuals who use the Kemetic philosophy as the core of their spiritual tradition and combine it with influences from other spiritual paths (usually traditional African beliefs and practices) because Kemet is recognized as the cradle of traditional African spirituality.

Unlike KRs, Kemetic Shamans only believe in worshiping God who may be called Neter – the Supreme Being – or Nebertcher – the Lord of Everything; and working with a host of spirits such as their ancestors and divinities from other pantheons.  Most Kemetic Shamans are very eclectic and their altar reflects their spirituality. However, their main focus is achieving and maintaining balance in their life, and helping others to accomplish the same feat.

This is because Kemetic Shaman believe that the reason they are here is to perfect themselves by mimicking the Creator, who is the epitome of balance or Maa. In other words, most KS believe that when we have an illness, problem, etc. in our life, the physical problem reflects a spiritual imbalance. To live in balance is to live perfectly, and although one may not achieve perfection in life, one can still attempt. From this perspective, evil is anything done excessively, while good is anything that is done in moderation.  For this reason, it is not uncommon to find a host of other divinities on a Kemetic Shamans altar because they are all seen as forces working towards attaining and maintaining balance in an individual’s life.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most Kemetic Shamans are practical spiritual practitioners that focus on tangible results.  In order to achieve such goals, they are usually led by the Spirit, which could be the spirit of an enlightened ancestor, a spirit guide or a personal spirit guardian. Consequently, most of the KS beliefs and practices were not be found in a book. Most of their beliefs and practices are due to them communicating with their primary spirit and trial-and-error. When most KS speak about a subject it is because they have a had a personal experience with the subject they are speaking of. For instance, most KS would not advise that someone engage in a practice that they have not done themselves.

Because they are practical spiritual practitioners that are led by the Spirit, there are no spiritual rules, no religious dogma, no guidelines, etc. that the KS follow, except the ones that they establish for themselves. If something works they use it but, if something does not feel right, they abandon it.

On Monotheistic and Polytheistic Beliefs

It should be noted that Jews, Christians and Muslims will be quick to claim that adherents of Kemetic spirituality are idolaters because they have a narrow view of God.  This is because western religious beliefs is based upon the acceptance of an individual’s opinionated perception regardless if it is right or wrong.  The ambiguity within western religions is the main reason religion has created more division and authored wars among its followers and other faiths.  This is the reason women have been and are still persecuted in western religions because of the misunderstanding of Divine Feminine principle.

In Kemetic spirituality, God is understood to be the Creator of All Things, which means the essence of God exists in everyone regardless of their color, race, ethnicity, sex, and beliefs. This means that there is not just one way to understand who and what God is. In fact, knowing God is not based solely upon beliefs, but upon experiencing God for oneself. Since God is too abstract for our human mind to truly comprehend, Kemetic adherents believe that God has created numerous divinities, which all represent different facets of the Divine.   In other words, the so-called gods and goddesses are actually different aspects of the Divine who is the Source of Everything. That being said, Kemetic adherents do not worship idols, they simply focus on knowing all of the attributes of their Creator who they are mimicking since they are Children of God.

Overall, Kemetic spirituality is becoming increasingly popular because it actually delivers what it promises, which is an improved relationship with the Divine that allows one to see God within themselves. In other words, it delivers true peace of mind.

The Metaphysical Understanding behind the Black Panther film

20 02 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Ok. The reviews are in and Black Panther is making millions. By now, I am sure you have heard every critic and review available from the far right to the far left, but I have not heard anyone mention the metaphysical and spiritual significance of this film, so let me give my take on it.

For the record, after seeing the Black Panther in Captain America’s Civil War; I was stoked to see the Black Panther movie mainly because I like so many of us, was tired of seeing every Black hero portrayed as a bald headed man who just wants super strength. When BP made his appearance he was cool because his fighting style was unmatched. He reminded me of Blade another Black anti-hero whose skills were unmatched.

Of course, after the movie came out. There were all type of critics and reviews. Now, I am not going to spend a lot of time speaking about the obvious.  As you already know, the film was about the African born prince T’Challa who becomes the Black Panther, and the American born African N’Jadaka aka Erik Killmonger who becomes the Golden Jaguar.  That right there should be enough for you to see the blatant symbolism in this film. As many within my circle have clearly pointed out, T’Challa’s attitude and disposition is passive. He represents those idealistic Africans who come to the United States and are not familiar with systematic racism. While, Killmonger represents not only Africans descendants born in the United States, but symbolic of his mask every indigenous person such as the Native Americans, Puerto Ricans, and the Africans in South Africa, whose lives have been disrupted by systematic racism.

Another interesting thing that should be noted is that I am amazed of how many people dressed up for this movie and wore African attire, as if it were a costume. I mean I find it interesting that all it took for ppl to appreciate their African heritage was to see a fictional movie about Africa.Again, just stating the obvious.

Now, on to the esoterics because we are spiritually minded and we use everything for our empowerment.

So, the mineral used to power their suit and technology was called vibranium, which alludes to a mineral that vibrates. Whenever the Wakadans harnessed this energy they never used drills or mining tools but it was sort of like they channeled it and used visualizations to shape it.  This other thing about this mysterious metal was that it gave them a sort of dark purplish aura.  This is all reminiscent of the dark energy that I call KAMTA.

Remember, KAMTA is what the Kemetic people called the southern region of Kemet.  Most people believe that the Kemetic people called this region the Black Land (Kam – Black, Ta – Land) because of the annual inundation of the Nile River. But what most people forget is that the Kemetic people were the descendants of Kush, which means their ancestors dwelled in the Black Lands. In other words, the Black Lands is a metaphor referring to the nature of the spirit world that exists underground. This is clearly a plug to Afrikan spirituality which is largely based upon one’s relationship with their ancestors (and other spirits) who dwell beneath us and whose shoulders we stand upon. In fact, the imagery of the BP ancestral land should have strongly resonated with anyone familiar with Afrikan spirituality.

Copyright Marvel Studios 2018.It should be noted that the Black Lands, which is where the old black panthers resided were in the spirit world or ancestral land that T’Challa had to visit. Those familiar with the Kemetic shaman perspective of the Story of Osar will easily see in this case that T’Challa symbolizes Hru (Heru, Horus) communicating with the dead Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris).  Remember, Osar is called the Lord of the Underworld or the Lord of the Ancestral Realm, which is another reference to the Superconscious or the realm beyond our normal, habitual subconscious. It should be noted that Warriors Falls is reddish in color to symbolize hostility, which reminded me of TASETT – the Red Lands.

Copyright Marvel Studios 2018

The other thing that should be noted is that the black panther’s suit emulated or engulfed him with this protective black power.  Many will see this dark mysterious liquid-like energy as melanin but I understood it to be the protective powers of our ancestors/spirits who dwell in KAMTA, which is the true source of power. The purple glow or the color purple symbolizes power which is used extensively in African magickal practices for dominance.  The color purple is also used to symbolize royalty while the color gold was used to symbolize just raw power.

Another hint that T’Challa is supposed to be a warrior form of Hru is that he had to drink the crushed-up heart shape plant. This heart shape plant is a reference to the Ab (Spiritual Heart) division of the Spirit, while some may see it relating to the heart chakra.

I know that a little people focused on the fight between T’Challa and Killmonger but if we choose to see it from a higher perspective. Metaphorically we can say that the fight between T’Challa and Killmonger was really a fight between Hru and Set or the battle between Shango and Ogun, or old traditions versus new traditions. Psychologically speaking it was a battle or fight between the middle self (conscious) and lower self (subconscious and ego-self).   This same story was borrowed by the early Christian writers and portrayed as the battle between Jesus and Satan when he goes to hell but unfortunately it is interpreted literally, so many people miss it.

I am sure that there are some more clues that can be drawn but this is the gist of it.

Now, there is one thing that we should all keep in mind which is that the original story was created by Stan Lee. In other words, this is Stan Lee’s interpretation of the Afrikan/Black experience.  If you watch Stan Lee’s interview he was inspired by the actual Black Panther Party.  From a spiritual perspective, I believe that the Spirit still worked through the cast and crew so that they could make a positive and empowering film.  Yes, it is not what we wanted but name one movie that is.  I have heard all of the debates and even participated in some but overall I thought it was a good movie considering what they had to work with. If you are really interested in Black Comics then support them. The City of Detroit has a Black Comicon every summer and I am sure there are other venues that exist.  Our experience has made way for us to have thousands upon thousands of stories. So don’t be fooled into thinking that b/c of our experience we do not have the right to talk about our holocaust. Help make this a positive and empowering moment.

The Two Things That Will Hinder and Even Halt Your Spiritual Growth

1 02 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family

I have been meaning to write this post for the longest time but I guess it was not meant to be until now. I just wanted to let you know that since I have been on this journey, I have noticed that there are two things that will seriously delay your spiritual growth and they are: Intellectual Masturbation and Conspiracy Theories.

What is the purpose of spiritual development?

First, the reason these two subjects have the ability to seriously hinder and/or stop you from achieving your spiritual goals is because most people do not understand the purpose of spiritual development. Most of us flee to spiritual development to escape western religions (Christianity, Jehovah Witness, Islam, etc.) but usually because of our disdain of those dogmatic teachings, we never try to understand why we were born into those religions in the first place. Many of us say, “Everything happens for a reason,” but fail to see the Divine reason why were placed into those religions, and therefore the purpose of spiritual development. So, let me tell you what I have learned thus far.

The purpose of spiritual development is to overcome our lower-ego-self who is personified as the devil or Set. That’s right! The devil is not some evil reddish imp running around tempting people to do evil. The devil is your lower self and the reason the devil or Set knows you so well is because he was born and raised in your subconscious mind. Everything that you do as a habit (good or bad) is governed by the subconscious part of your spirit.  Most of our habits are like programs, which were developed out of our childhood experience to help us to physically survive, but at some point, in our life.  A habit or program (good or bad) becomes outdated and is no longer useful, so it needs to be replaced.  Think of this way, an old skool rapper trying to rap using lingo from 1986?

So, we must change.

All change is not bad or evil. Everything in this physical world is temporal and dynamic, so change is necessary for new growth to take place. When a habit or program has outlived its purpose, it must be changed because if not it hinders progress and evolution, and this is where we meet our devil Set.

Because Set does not like constructive and positive change. Set instead would rather you make excuses and blame others for all your failures, problems and setbacks in life.  Your Set will convince you that you cannot achieve a goal because of your race, beliefs, ethnicity, etc.  In other words, Set encourages you to take the Easy road out.  For the record, I want you to understand that racism, classism, biases and all sorts of disparities are physically real and are real obstacles that have been placed before us. And, they are impossible for us to overcome if we think like a human being. However, if we think like a God and Goddess because we are Children of the Divine, anything is possible.

This is the purpose of spiritual development and this is the reason you are here. You came here to develop your God-given divine abilities and the only way you can develop them is by being put into the fire. Set is here to test you and to be the main adversary to tell you what you cannot do, so that you do it.

Understanding that spiritual development is all about fighting against your Set (ego-self) to overcome your anxieties, fears, guilt, worries, etc., which are all the negative emotions that will prevent you from being successful and achieving anything in life, means that you need to understand certain subjects can be a benefit or a hindrance.

One of the subjects that can be a huge benefit is history. History understood from a Divine, Godly or Osarian (Higher Self) perspective is a great tool that will help you to see that there have been others in similar situations as yours, that have achieved impossible feats.  This means that you can achieve the impossible as well.

The Ladies of Hidden Figures courtesy of wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_Figures

For instance, learning that Vivien Thomas was a bright surgical technician, should be proof that anyone can practice medicine. Reading about Lonnie Johnson was the inventor of the Super Soaker should be inspiration that anyone can be an inventor. The stories of Katherine Johnson and Dorothy Vaughan were brilliant mathematician, and Mary Jackson was a brilliant engineer, who were highlighted in the film Hidden Colors, should be proof that anyone can do mathematics despite living in a racist society.

But, if you approach history from a humanly and Setian perspective, you will focus on what’s wrong, which will quickly lead escalate to intellectual masturbation and/or conspiracy theory.

From the film I’m Going to Get You Sucka!

Intellectual masturbation (IM) is when an individual has read and studied every book in the world. They are not historians because they do not have the intellectual and or self-discipline to devote themselves to the subject with true rigor. They simply use history to as an excuse to prove to themselves and others what they can and cannot do. You can always tell when an individual is an intellectual masturbator because they are great debaters but, they never have any substantial proof of what they are talking about.  To intellectual masturbators, Charles Drew, Vivien Thomas, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, and others are seen as, flukes in history to justify their subconscious fears. Another thing about IM is that they heavy into metaphysics but again, they have no proof that any of the stuff they talk about works. They will tell you “So-and-so is a God/Goddess” but as soon they are put into a situation where they literally have to show-and-prove that they are God or Goddess.  They “be like I was just kidding” or they have a plethora excuses of how ‘da system (matrix), da man, their momma or daddy, etc.’ stopped them from succeeding. Again, spiritual development is about overcoming that social conditioning that has us being anxious and living in fear.

Most people who fall into the trap of becoming IM because they overheard an intelligent conversation regarding history and basically try to mimic others in order to sound cool. Basically, they are historical bandwagon riders. This is the reason they don’t really know history but they are masters of the rhetoric. Most of the hotep people are IM because Kemetic or Kamitic is cool to them but not cool enough for them stop being misogynistic.  Remember, spiritual development is about changing your old ways and anyone who makes 1000+1 excuses on their negative behavior is not really serious about spiritual development. For the most part, most IMs are fad chasers. These people were nowhere to be found 10 or 20 years ago. They are the ones responsible for making Consciousness a religion.  To play it safe, it is best to avoid these people because will lead you back into another dogmatic religion. If it is not one of the recognizable organized religions, then the new religion will be vegetarianism, veganism, or conservatism or some other ism. These people simply need to learn how to overcome their negative perspective and see life from both an objective and subjective perspective.

Conspiracy Theorists (CT) are the biggest group of individuals who will deter your spiritual growth. Like intellectual masturbators, CTs see what is wrong with society but take it to a paranoia level.  To them, everyone who has succeed in life is part of some clandestine group.  In fact, the entire society is ruled by some clandestine group fighting for total control against other clandestine groups. Not only that, it goes further. These clandestine groups are involved in a heavy conspiracy to prevent the world from knowing that aliens exist.

It sounds funny, but CTs are serious. I used to be one of them and gave up this obsession when I learned that an old neighbor of mine was a CT. This man was bitter, unhappy, and had two failed marriages, but his home was full of video tapes, conspiracy books, surveillance equipment and built to survive a zombie apocalypse.

Who cares if there are aliens from another planet or not. Are they going to help you? Who cares if the world is flat or round, how is that knowledge going to help you and improve your quality of life? I mean unless you are a government spy harboring the blueprints for a secret weapon, the government does not really, give a damn about you. We live in a capitalistic society that focuses more on money, so to the government we are all cattle and the government has been having tabs on us.  To paraphrase Talib Kweli “You’re a fool if you don’t think the government has not already tapped your line. “

Yes, conspiracies exist and most of us play right into them without even knowing it. Speaking from experience, the reason most people get caught into CTs is because the hell, brimstone and the world coming to an end – the Book of Revelations, was heavily impressed upon their subconscious (when they were younger). They were literally beat over the head in church about doomsday and when they got older, they never overcame the fear to understand that it was B.S.  So, they spend their life trying to avoid the end of the world.

HRU (Heru, Horus)

When you really, submerge yourself into spiritual culture, you will learn that the end of the world described in the bible is an allegory referring to the end of a specific state of consciousness. Aren’t you tired of things being the way they are in this screwed up society? Why would you want to keep it? Remember, Set does not want change. When this old boy network burns down, I will see you at the campfire with some marshmallows. I am looking forward to this way of thinking coming to an end and as a true Child of God or a Hru, you should be looking forward to things coming to an end as well so that like Hru, you can reclaim your heritage.

So, don’t be deluded by these two ploys created to keep you living in fear.

Understand, we all have trauma that we have had to endure but if you continue to view your negative experience from a superficial perspective. You will never learn how to overcome it. You did not come here to be a man or woman. You came here to prove to yourself that you are a God or Goddess. You came here to master the Universal Laws. Gods and Goddesses don’t give a damn who is the president because they live their lives based upon a higher principle. Let me say this again, because I do not want people thinking that people focused on true spirituality are heartless, inconsiderate and unconcerned about current events.  We are concerned but we are here for a reason and we understand our purpose. We focus our attention on changing that which is in our immediate sphere of influence. So, if you think you can change the political state of affairs by all means do it but don’t criticize others because they think it is a waste of time. They see it as a waste of time because that is not their purpose.

The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can get into your development and start making some real changes in your life and the life of those whom you love.

I’M KAMITIC! AND I’M PROUD! (What it Really Means to be Kamitic)

13 02 2015

Hetep (Peace)

I know most of you have heard the famous 1970s Cultural Hit anthem by James Brown, “Say it loud. I’m BLACK and I’m PROUD!” Well, I deemed it time to change this popular mantra and declare that I’m KAMITIC AND I’m PROUD! I decided to write this post in response to the misrepresentation some have due to the growing usage of the popular Kamitic term “Hetep” which means “Peace”.  Understand it is not my intention to belittle anyone or group but to clearly distinguish from my perspective what is and who is Kamitic (Kemetic, Khemetic, etc.) versus individuals that are at present caught up in the moment, so that true seekers don’t get the wrong idea.

First, being Kamitic is not a fad, something that is popular or the “in thing” right now. I mean it is great that people want to decorate their body, home, etc. with ancient Egyptian motifs and all but, this is not what being Kamitic is about.

Portuguese ship

Portuguese ship

To understand what Kamitic is and is not we have to understand how it all began.  According to my research, when Central and West Africans were taken to the Americas.  Each of these ethnic groups brought with them a fragment of their cultural spiritual traditions. Those taken to Cuba used their African cultural heritage combined with Amerindian and Spanish influence to create the rich Afro-Latino traditions known as Lucumi (Santeria), Palo Mayombe and Abacua; in Puerto Rico similar Afro-Latino influences were used to create Santisimo and Santeria; similar influences combined with the French gave rise of course to Vodun in Haiti and Las 21 Divisiones in Dominican Republic (Las 21 Divisiones/Los Misterios also known as Dominican Vudu); while developing in Trinidad and Tobago there was Shango Baptiste; and last but not least in Brazil, Candomble, Macuumba and Umbanda. (Not to mention the other Afro-traditions that exist throughout the Caribbean and South America). All of these powerful and beautiful Afro – spiritual traditions were birthed out of a Spirit of Resistance, but in North America due to the fact that the taskmasters were Protestant, the Africans were unable to create such a tradition. This however didn’t mean that they didn’t try. Instead, the first Africans that stepped on the North American shores (in Jamestown, VA) came from Kongo – Angolan region and they brought with them the infamous Kongo Cross.

The Kongo Cross

The Kongo Cross also known as the Yowa and Dikenga

The Kongo Cross (also known as the Yowa and Dikenga), which was the spiritual and philosophical foundation of the Kongo culture, is what the first Africans in North America used to build their own spiritual tradition of resistance. That’s right, contrary to popular belief, early African Americans did not lose all of their culture – this is a myth.  Our ancestors in North America like many other enslaved African descendants managed to preserve their very own African cosmology. What was lost was the philosophical and theological understanding of our culture. 400 years of slavery can’t erase or undo what has been practiced since Ancient Egypt.

Now through this sacred cosmogram early African Americans were able to preserve and create new traditions based upon their African heritage and new American experience, like an informal initiation system reflective of the sun’s movement and the famed ring shout.

Europeans observing the odd behavior and practices, which consisted of early African Americans envisioning their world from a different perspective than their oppressors, labelled it hoodoo and voodoo as a means of demonizing all African beliefs, practices, traditions and cultures. (It should be noted that hoodoo is believed to be derived from the Spanish term judio pronounced hoo-dee-oh meaning Jewish.  It is theorized that the term was used first by the Spanish merchants to identify those Africans who refused to accept the European ethnocentric view of the world that everything wasn’t Christian was primitive and evil).

Anyway, this new perspective that early Africans in America held is what author Theophus H. Smith called a Conjuring Culture.  This Conjuring Culture, which was birthed from the Kongo Cross became the philosophical base for the American Christian church that we see today. Most of the African aspects such as speaking – in – tongues, dancing (shouting), struck by the spirit, prophesizing, etc. – are all African elements that never existed in the Church prior to the genocide of the Amerindians and enslavement of Africans. All of these elements are now widely accepted in all charismatic churches throughout the world without any knowledge that it stems from African spirituality. This cultural appropriation exists because as Churchill said, “History is written by the victors”.

Azusa Street Revival

Azusa Street Revival – the birth of the Pentecostal Movement

Now the Conjuring Culture that was birthed from the Kongo Cross didn’t just create Christian fervor, which emerged and became the famed Azusa Street Revival.  It also gave rise to two very powerful underground movements that exist today because of Psalms 68:31, which states:

“Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon
stretch out her hands unto God”.

In the minds of the Africans in Jamaica, the Kongo Cross gave rise to the black Zionism Movement, where Zion became the iconic figure of Ethiopia, which later became Rastafarianism.  While during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, this verse gave rise to Ethiopianism. Here is where Ethiopia became the iconic figure of return symbolizing freedom. When Dr. Martin L. King Jr. began protesting and marching for civil rights. He was seen as a Black Moses where instead of the biblical Children of Israel being enslaved, it was the Children (Sons and Daughters) of Ethiopia who were enslaved and modern day United States was the biblical Egypt.  This is why Martin L. King constantly compared the civil injustices in the United States with the plight of the biblical Hebrews in Egypt.

But, Egypt was also mentioned in this most widely quoted verse, and this inspired many like W.E.B. DuBois to refer to Egypt in the early 1900s, as an iconic figure for sociopolitical movement. Like the spiritual tradition Rastafarianism that was born out of the black Zionism movement (or Back-to-Africa Movement).  Kamiticism was born out of the Ethiopianism movement, which was first widely popularized throughout the Afro-diaspora by Ra Un Nefer Amen, the founder of the Ausar Auset Society. Both Rastafarianism and Kamiticism are Afro-spiritual traditions born out of necessity and the spirit of resistance.

Unfortunately, although both Rastafarianism and Kamiticism have accomplished a lot throughout the Afro-Diaspora, they both suffer from similar misinterpretations, misrepresentations and misunderstandings.

Rastafarianism as a movement consists of several branches, all with different beliefs. Above is a photo of one of my favorite poets, the famous Rastafarian dub poet, musician and actor Mutabaruka talking to my favorite television host Anthony Bourdain on the show No Reservation 2008 about Rastafarianism and the whole Ital-lifestyle.

Popular Kamitic figure and iconic tattoos

Popular Kamitic figures and icons tattoos. Maat tattoo on the entertainer Rhianna.

The same can be said about those who are Kamitic.  Just because someone wears an ankh or some other Kamitic glyph (or image) tattooed on their body doesn’t make them Kamitic. By the way, nor does wearing Kamitic jewelry, having Kamitic artwork (including images of Nefertiti, Tutankhamen, etc.),  saying Kamitic words like “Hetep” or adopting a Kamitic name. While we are at it, learning Kamitic history and practicing a Kamitic inspired religion doesn’t make a person Kamitic either. It helps one to get a better understanding of what it means to be Kamitic but, sorry to step on peoples’ toes.  It doesn’t make them Kamitic no more than an egyptologists (lower cased intentionally) translating hieroglyphs is ancient Egyptian, or practicing Taosim makes an individual Chinese, or Shinto makes a person Japanese.  These are all forms like cloth weaved by a weaver.  Just like clothes don’t make the man, doing these things don’t and will not make an individual more or less Kamitic either.

Because being Kamitic is more than wearing Egyptian jewelry, Kamitic clothing, a Kamitic name, speaking Kamitic, etc.  As you have read above, it is not a movement that just started in the 1980s when Afro-centricity became widely popular and grew in the 1970s and 1980s.  No. Kamitic is a cultural way of life and like any other cultural way it consists of an indescribable philosophical change. As a result, it could be said that there are several denominations or groups, and anyone who considers themselves Kamitic should be able to tell you how they made the transition. I can only share what happened to me and my experience.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

From my perspective, Kamitic spirituality adds the missing philosophical and theological elements that were lost due to the slave experience, which has allowed me the ability to interpret life once again from a holistic perspective (and not from the perspective of the victim or victimizer).

This is because when an individual truly converts and becomes Kamitic. They are spiritually born again because an old part of them dies and another part is born. This moment is symbolized as the transition from Ra Atum (setting sun/death) to the Khepera (sunrise/birth) moment on the Maa Aankh. It is similar to receiving the Holy Ghost because it is truly a change in consciousness. This metamorphosis is called in the Kamitic language “Maa Kheru” pronounced “Maa-Xa-ru.” Maa Kheru literally means “One Who is True of Voice“. Meaning, in other words, you see Divine Truth (or it was revealed to you), so you speak and live it.  When this Truth is revealed, it doesn’t have to be something dramatic like the biblical Paul being knocked off his ass (donkey). It is personal and it doesn’t matter if others witness it or not. It is simply revealed to you, thus establishing a rapport between you and the Divine within you.

Maa-The Path of the Feather

Maa-The Path of the Feather

This is how you begin to discover your truth or maa. It also how you receive Divine Protection because Maa literally means Divine Truth, Divine Balance, and Righteousness and symbolizes the Way to the Divine (symbolized as the vertical yellow line on the Maa Aankh).  What this means is that when you begin to connect with the Divine within you. The Spirit will reveal to you your own maa or personal truth to help you balance your life and live righteously.  The Spirit will show you what works best for you and what doesn’t work for you, versus you following a bunch of dogmatic do’s and don’ts created for the masses. For instance, some people in this lifetime need to listen to their spirit and abstain from sweets because it is detrimental to their well being. This same restriction however would not apply to everyone and it doesn’t mean that sweets are bad or evil. It just means for this particular individual(s), they would have to avoid sweets because their spirit revealed to them to do so. Sweets for this individual(s) becomes a taboo for them or basically part of their maa (personal truth, personal balance, personal righteousness living or simply their personal way).

This means you become responsible for your own development.  Thus you are now held accountable to the Divine, your aakhu (ancestors) and to the people. When you willingly violate the maa (your personal truth) that was revealed to you. You reap the consequences. Understand, this is not God or some other entity punishing you for breaking the Law, and by the way you are not going to be rewarded either. The maa is established to help you to work your own spirit.  So when things work, you know what works for you. When things don’t work out, you know what doesn’t work for you, and you know what to do in order to initiate change.  As you can see, when you become Kamitic you become aware of how the Divine Laws interact with you, instead of wondering around with no guide.

Understand Kamitic is what Westerners called pagan.  The word pagan comes from the Latin word paganus, which means “country folk,” hence indigenous, traditional, folk ethnic religious folk practices, etc.

If you watch Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks, you will see him run around the Vatican pointing at obelisks and calling them pagan. When he goes more in detail, he explains how the Church (the Vatican) placed Christian iconography on top of the obelisks in order to subdue those who followed the Egyptian way of thinking. (Note that followers of the ancient Greek religions were called Hellenes – Hellenic culture, gentile and paganos).

What was the Ancient Egyptian or Kamitic Way of Thinking?

The Da Vinci Code hit on it but it masked it with more conspiracy theories, which led people to go in search of a literal golden grail in France or somewhere in Europe. People missed the point and made this all about Jesus and some bloodline. No. It was all about the pagan way. It (and this) has nothing to do with Jesus per se, it was about Gnostic beliefs.

Kamitic Falcon - Hru

You see, Kamitic history reveals that the Kamitic people strongly believed that we are all made in the image of the Divine. That Men and Women are Divine polar opposites and counterparts or the manifestation of the Divine on earth. That Women have similar rights as Men because Men are the Causal, while Women are the Effectual. Said another way, Men are the Initiators of Divine Will, while women are the Manifestors or Makers of the Divine Will. I know it is nice and sounds sweet to call a man, “My King” and a woman, “My Queen” but in Kamit they were serious and history reveals that the men and women literally played the part. Men modeled themselves after the king who emulated the Sun, strong, constant, always shining, resilient, powerful, like that of a lion symbolized as Hru. As women modeled themselves after the queen, who emulated the moon, reflective of her king or the sun and would do anything to protect her family, village and nation as lioness like the netchar Oset (Aset, Auset Greek Isis).

Nyut (the personification of the mysterious and unknown realm symbolized as the female womb) and Geb (the personification of the materialization of what is known symbolized as the male)

Think about that for a moment.  Imagine if men saw their woman as the personification of the cosmos and women saw their man as the materialization of potential. Would sex just be a mere act? I think not. Would a man disrespect his woman or just let anyone run all over his woman? Would a woman just disrespect and allow her man to continue to fight to be in a system designed against them both? I think not. Both would see each other as divine counterparts and would make their world (their kingdom and their reality) in their image. Every time they came together, they would be reminded that they were conceiving (physically and spiritually) an ancestor to enter into the physical realm because the aakhu (ancestors and spirit guides) were symbolized as stars in the night sky of the belly of Nyut (Nut). Do you see why “they” had to demonize us and our way of life? Yeah, it sounds romantic, but as you can see it is beyond that because it creates a natural nationalism that is against the machinations of the ego-self (Set or the devil) that are promoted throughout society today.

Ancient Kamitic Shaman/Priest

You see, there are only two emotions that exist in our universe and they are love and fear. The Kamitic way of thinking truly rivals Western thinking because it is based upon the Love of God. It is because of the Love of God we were made in the image of a Perfect Creator. Therefore, everything that exists in our life (both the good and the bad) was put there by divine design to help us to realize our divinity and accomplish our destiny. In other words, make us spiritually stronger. This is the reason when you truly have overcome a destructive habit you feel accomplished, free, relieved, empowered and victorious.

Western thinking however, is based upon the Fear of God, which is that we were made in the image of the Divine but fell due to sin. Consequently, we have to beg and plead eternally for forgiveness in order to be saved. We have to put ourselves in service of others or go to God through some clergy or we will be punished by a vengeful deity that made us flawed in the first place.

Charlton Heston as Moses in Cecil DeMille’s Ten Commandments

Basically Kamitic thinking is where we basically develop a relationship with God by discovering who the Divine is within us. Whereas Western thinking is where we are told who God is and ostracized or punished for not accepting the beliefs of spiritual tyrants. In other words, Western religious thinking focuses upon people become Children of God, whereas Kamitic spiritual thinking is focused on helping an individual become a Man or Woman of God.

So a true Kamitic is not about following a particular person or group but, his or her Divine’s Will and that is what made the Kamitic people of old dangerous. This is why the early Christian Church waged war against the Kamitic and Kushite (ancient Nubian) people.  This was later followed by the Islamic jihadists, who drove the Kamitic people to the West of Africa and into the African interior.  A true Kamitic descendant in these contemporary times (because that is what we are) is a free thinker that knows how to use all of the faculties of his and her mind (the superconscious/subconscious and conscious). No, we are not super humans and being Kamitic doesn’t mean we don’t have problems. We live in a physical world, which is dynamic and always changing, so we will always have problems because nothing stands still or is for certain.   But, we know that the solution to our problems doesn’t rests in our own thinking.

It involves us learning how to access the deeper part of our mind (the superconscious part of our being or the Divine mind). This is the reason all of the Kamitic traditions have a spiritual system or cosmogram that they follow like the Kamitic Paut Neteru (the Kamitic Tree of Life) or the Maa Aankh (the Bantu – Kamitic Cross).

Let me give an example. There is an altercation that occurs and people are up in arms. One group wants strike out in anger. Another group wants to boycott or protest. Religious leaders and fraternal organizations convene and want to do something that show that they are on the peoples’ side but at the same time not want to jeopardize their standing with various parties.  Activists of all types want to talk on the radio, podcasts, etc. and keep the energy high so that something is accomplished. These are all good and valiant efforts, which I am not knocking at all but have to be considered and well thought of. But let me tell you how a Kamitic man or woman handles the situation. They talk to the Divine like their ancestors did before them through either meditation or by consulting an oracle.

If you scoff at meditation or the use of an oracle, then you know nothing about being Kamitic. Because the whole basis of the Kamitic spiritual tradition rests on the Story of Osar (Asar, Ausar or Greek Osiris), where the hero of the story, Hru (Hrw, Heru or Horus) defeats his more learned uncle of war, Set (Set-an, Satan, Greek Typhon, the Ego-self) on the battlefield through intuitive (contemplative/meditative) means. The Story of Osar is a metaphor about the human experience. Yes, it is true that during the Council of Nicaea it was decided that the Story of Jesus was modeled after the Story of Osar to distort the Gnostic teachings.  Once it is realize that the Christian story like the Story of Osar are not to be taken literal because they are based upon similar metaphorical truths. Life is all about manifesting the Will of God on earth.

As you can see, part of the reason so many people have converted to a Kamitic path is because they have have broken the mental chains and realized that the “real devil/enemy” is not some entity or person that exists outside of themselves. The “real devil/enemy” is our lower self and who or whatever we give our personal power to. Everything that our Set (Ego-self) tells us to fear for no reason is what we give power to.That’s right, your enemy only has as much power over you as you allow them to. Once you realize your true enemy is what you fear and what you give your power to.  You will be FREE. Until that time, the answer to the question as to why does a small minority control the majority. It is because we mentally allow them to do so by buying into their reality and not investing in our own.

Now understand, when I say Ego-self, I am not talking about just being arrogant and braggadocios. I am talking about that part of our being that was hurt when we were younger and now uses that painful experience as a springboard to validate their treatment of others rather it is justified or not. I am talking about the part of our being that grew up believing that money is the root of all evil and that in order to make money you have to toil day and night, and compete and kill off others to survive. It is that old self, that old ego way of thinking that is afraid of some real spiritual work because it knows it has to make some changes. Yes! That part of our being that doesn’t want to change but would prefer.  That we sit on our loins and just bellyache, criticize and complain – Yeah, that part of our being. That part of our being that is afraid to do what is right and just, even though it is not popular.  That’s your Set, your true enemy.

So those who have truthfully become Kamitic realized that the reason we keep having the same problems and every solution they offer complicates the matter even more so, is because we are using the same thinking that created the problem symbolized as Set. We have to think outside of the box and that means doing something different. That different thing means to go deeper within our superconscious symbolized as KAMTA. This is where all of the great ideas and inventions come from. If you look at the detailed Maa Aankh cosmogram above you can see, there are no new ideas that are coming out of our subconscious because we are just reacting or surviving. This is the part of our being that functions on automatic and out of habit.  The new ideas come from the deeper parts of our awareness – the superconscious. This is where we get intuitive ideas and also where our ancestors and spirit guides can give us wise counsel.  You will also notice that this is where we get our dreams.

Spiritual culture as you can see is based upon this part of our being – our higher spirit or superconscious. It is not based upon making use of our higher spirit/self. This is the reason in the Story of Osar, Hru was finally able to defeat his uncle Set (that is do something new and improved) through the intercession of Osar. A thorough analysis of Japanese and Chinese history and culture will reveal that the reason they were able to bounce back on the world scene in a relatively short time.  Is because both of these countries embraced their folk ways, which consists of delving and tapping into their higher self (the superconscious). This is the reason why all throughout Asia you will find stalls where people can get detailed I-Ching oracle readings and partake in other practices that will help people align themselves with their higher spirit.

Understand.  The true Kamitic has realized this and now uses his or her life as a sounding board for perfecting their understanding of the Divine within them and all people.

So, while other men and women are being swayed by half-truths, lies, and the inconsistencies of men through the various airwaves.  The true Kamitic, like other traditionalists and the traditionalists of old, are able to discern the truth and navigate through the malarkey.  Like a wise general and strike the enemy where he is most vulnerable like all of the great leaders of antiquity have done before them. Don’t be fooled by popular Greek inspired movies that depict the oracles as being either young virgin women or some old hag. These are all distorted images used by Holly-weird to discourage people from embracing the traditional ways that will liberate our soul. The true oracles were bones, shells and yarrow sticks, etc., which were used even in the bible (both the New and Old Testament). It was a practice that the ancient Hebrews learned from….Guess? That’s right…the Kamitic people for all those claiming that we were ancient Hebrews.  Our ancestors were not brought here from the East of Africa but the West of Africa, which is where the descendants of the Kamitic people fled to avoid Christian and Islamic onslaught.

That’s right. A true Kamitic or Kamite is revolutionary by nature in mind, body and spirit.

Hope that helps

Hetep (Peace)
