How to Return to Our Divine Mind

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know I remember one summer my brother and I decided to rent a vehicle so that we could drive from Kansas back to Detroit, for our family reunion that weekend.  While in Detroit, we had a good time seeing family members but since we both had to be back at work Monday morning. We had planned to leave early Sunday morning and take a different route to avoid the heavy traffic in Kansas City.

Now, I drove the first leg, which was from Detroit all the way to St. Louis and my brother was going to drive the rest of the way. But, when we got to St. Louis,  passed the arch, crossed the bridge to the other side and pulled over so that my brother could drive. About five minutes after he got in the driver seat and started driving, he stated that he was having shortness of breath.

So we pull over and I can see he is really having trouble breathing.  Since it was Sunday morning and we were on the road, we did not know where the nearest hospital was but we found a medical clinic that was open.  After we go inside and he is seen by the on-call physician, an hour or two later he comes out and tells me that the doctor said that he had a panic attack. The doctor gave him a prescription for anxiety and we went to the nearest pharmacy to have it fulfilled.

Three hours later from the time we got off the road to now, he takes the medication. About 15 minutes later, I asked him if he was okay to drive and he told me that he would try but when he got back into the driver’s seat. He began having shortness of breath again, so I told him that I would drive.  As soon as I got back into the driver’s seat, my brother fell asleep while I drove the rest of way back to our home.

Now, not to be insensitive but at the time I was really upset with my brother because I had to drive 22 hours straight, which was something I had never done.  I was stressed, tired and I had been looking forward to resting while he drove the final leg.  Not to mention I was taking a different route from the route I previously drove to Detroit.  I didn’t know what triggered his panic attack but I imagined that he was overwhelmed by everything. It was a different route, heavy traffic, we were both rushed to get back to work and stress. I knew that what it was because I was feeling it too but, what helped me to cope thankfully was my spiritual education.

The traditional Western approach to dealing with any new situation is to treat symptoms and not the core problem because the body and mind according to western science are separate. Consequently, in the West, we are taught to identify with our bodies. If something hurts then, we say, “I am in pain.” If there is a problem, then we are taught to say, “I have a problem” and so on, because we are taught to identify with our physical being as being us.

In non-Western and Eastern thinking, the focus is on the whole being from a philosophical perspective. For instance, I was able to cope with my feelings of panic and stress differently because in the Kemetic tradition, I learned that we are not our bodies.  Our physical body is our vehicle so, when we are in pain, such as having a headache then it is “My head hurts” and not “I have a headache.” For newcomers, this may sound a little confusing but think about if you have a car and a flat tire. Do you have a flat tire or does your car have a flat tire?

This difference in perspective determines if we choose to see the world as a god/goddess or as a mere mortal being. As such, this difference also determines if we choose to access our Higher Mind or our lower mind.

When we choose to follow the lower mind perspective by identifying with our body, then we use the traditional Western approach, which simply relies on labeling the problem with an obscure name and prescribing drugs to cope.  In my brother’s case, it was labeled that he had a “panic attack” and after the doctor poked around he was given a prescription.

Now before I continue, let me put this disclaimer out there by stating that for the record, this is not a post justifying if anxiety is real or not and please do not use this post as a means of self-diagnosing. Also, this is not by any means written to indicate that I was better than my brother or that spiritually educated people are better, and so on.   The point of this post is to highlight the difference in problem-solving.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being. TASETT also represents the SAHU, KHAB, KHABIT & KA Divisions of the Spirit

I dealt with this rush of stressful emotions that overwhelmed me differently because, in the Kemetic tradition, everything that we physically see is a mirror reflection of a spiritual event (for lack of a better word). All physical occurrences are simply the effects of an invisible spiritual cause, which can be understood metaphorically. This means every physical occurrence has a (spiritual) story and when I use the Story of Osar as a metaphorical guide. Every problem is attributed to Set.

Since there are only two main emotions in our Universe and they are: Love and Fear.  Love is the driving emotion that propels our Higher Self personified as Osar to function, which is the reason Osar is all about unity, knowledge, wisdom, peace, etc.  Fear is the emotion that drives our lower self, which is personified as Set who is selfish because he fears that’s not enough resources, he’s violent because he fears the unknown and so on.

So, the reason I was able to cope better when I was in the stressful situation was because I was able to recognize and acknowledge that my fear was real or metaphorically speaking I recognized Set’s presence. However, I refused to allow this energy to control me by basically telling my lower self or Set that “Yes, this is a different route and it is overwhelming but everything is going to be okay. Relax.”

The only reason I was able to talk to my lower self or Set was because I understood that this energy was not the devil or some other outside entity working hard to prevent my brother and I from getting to our destination safely, so we could both be at work on time. It was a lower energy occurring within me (or both of us).  Set appeared to me at that time to inform me to be cautious, pay attention to the other drivers, don’t get distracted, and relax. After I had this affirmative self-talk with my self, I was able to shift my awareness to my Higher Self or Osar and proceed to my destination safely.

We all have a higher mind or Superconscious or Divine Mind personified as Osar and the way to communicate with it so that it trumps our subconscious or Set is in extraordinary ways such as self-talk, ritual, magick, etc.  Most people do not know how to distinguish between the two and simply follow their Set because it is normal in the sense that most people give in to their lower selves but, we do not have to follow this path. We can choose to return to our Divine Nature whenever we want to.

Over the years, I have reflected back to this experience and thought about how if I had not learned how to shift my awareness. If I were to follow the Setian path, I would have become anxious, worrisome, fearful, etc. and I might have thrust myself into a panic attack or worse.  Thankfully, I learned a different way of handling stressful events and because of this experience (and similar ones) I know that: 1) in the west this type of thinking is called spirituality whereas in non-western cultures it is simply viewed as a cultural way of life, and.  2) This is confirmation that western thinking is great for mathematics and technological wonders, but fails miserably in regards to life matters such as healing and relationships.

In closing, if you are in a pinch, consider changing your perspective and approaching the matter from a divine perspective. Get to know your Osar and all of the benevolent spirits associated with your Osar. Stop settling for Set just because it is the “normal way” people do things. In other words, remember that if you are a god/goddess then you should “stop sweating the small stuff” in order to access your Divine Mind.

When the Student is Ready, A Spirit (Not a Teacher) Will Appear

2 06 2019

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Many of us have heard that the saying that “when the student is ready the teacher will appear” but I have found this not to be the case. First, the reason many of us believe that a teacher will appear when we are “ready” is because we live in a society that: 1) discourages spiritual education and, 2) focuses entirely on the physical sciences.  What I mean by discourages spiritual education and focuses on physical science is that once we enter the western education system as children.  We are discouraged from communicating with our ancestors and spirits, by fearing what we cannot physically assess with our five physical senses.  We are taught to think logically and to only entertain abstract and illogical thought in a religious setting.

So many of us (myself included) go all over the world (it seems) looking for a teacher and pledging our lives to individuals whom we think will teach us.  It is only after we have experienced some hardships due to us idolizing spiritual teachers that it becomes apparent. That our universe is composed of a spiritual and physical reality, which means everything that we physically see came into existence from spiritual reality. Therefore, the only reason why a teacher will appear “when the student is ready” is because the student ignored all of the spiritual signs that came in the beginning.

Most of us living in the West miss these signs because we live a society where Christianity is the major religion of influence.  Therefore, when something unplanned happens to us we are taught and trained to label it as a bad experience and blame it on the devil based upon our lower mind perspective.

What do I mean when I say a lower mind perspective?

Well, our mind is composed of three parts and they are the Superconscious, Conscious and subconscious mind. The Superconscious is responsible for governing all of the intuitive aspects of our mind, while the subconscious is responsible for governing all of our personal memories, emotions and the mental faculties needed to physically survive. The Conscious mind is simply the part of our being commonly called our soul, which is used to decide the part of our mind (Superconscious or subconscious) that is going to dominate our life.

Image result for subconscious conscious superconscious

For this reason, the Superconscious is personified as our Osar and symbolized as KAMTA on the Maa Aankh, and the subconscious is personified as Set and symbolized as TASETT.  While, the Conscious is symbolized as Hru (Horus), but the evolution of our consciousness is symbolized as the four solar discs surrounding the Maa Aankh.

Our Kemetic ancestors chose to symbolize the Superconscious as the dark fertile lands of the southern region of Kemet to remind us that like fertile soil.  The Superconscious yields unlimited potential and possibilities.  It gives us a more holistic perspective that allows us to see into the future.  Hence the reason, Osar is able to teach his people spiritual laws, introduce new sciences and lay the foundations for building a prosperous civilization.  All conflicts are resolved in a peaceful manner because everyone is seen as being part of the collective or a member of the same family. Therefore, what affects one individual will eventually have a domino effect and affect everyone.

The arid and red desert of the northern region was chosen to symbolize the subconscious to remind us that because the subconscious is responsible for governing all of our personal memories and emotions to help us to physically survive.  It gives us a very narrow, limited and selfish perspective about life.  As illustrated in the legend, after Set usurps the throne, he leads to civilization on a spiraling path to its demise because he offers no new solutions to the problems we face. All conflicts are resolved from a selfish perspective which creates more conflict that results in violent outcomes.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being. TASETT also represents the SAHU, KHAB, KHABIT & KA Divisions of the Spirit

Let me give you a real-life example of a Setian perspective. I remember the first time I began to see these two perspectives was years ago when I was a kid in high school. In the mid-1980s when crack cocaine hit the streets of Detroit. People all over the city were dying due to their addiction to the drug, while kids all over the city were dying due to the rising homicide violence related to the drug. All of the high schools and eventually elementary schools installed metal detectors.  There were kids being shot and killed at school all over the city. I will never forget that as the city plunged to its demise, there was a summit held to discuss the issues with other officials in the metropolitan area.  When asked what could be done and if other communities could assist. There were officials outside of the City of Detroit in the more affluent neighborhoods that refused to help because they categorized the problem as an “urban problem.”  The only advice that was offered was Nancy Reagan’s slogan “Just Say No to Drugs!” while the Regan administration said, “Yes to Mass Incarceration.”

Image result for nancy reagan say no to drugs

This was the first time I  officially saw racism and classism at work because it did not take a genius to know that “urban problem” was code for a “Black problem.” My suspicions were confirmed when the U.S. government passed draconian laws imprisoning all people of color for possession of crack cocaine regardless if they were addicted or had plans to distribute, whereas individuals carrying a larger quantity of powder cocaine received less severe punishments and sentencing. Later when I got older and learned about Kemetic thinking, that is when I realized that this selfish perspective was classic Setian thinking because today’s “urban problem” exists all over the country and now, the more affluent people are suffering from opioid addictions as well.

The more Osarian approach to the problem would have been to recognize that people of all ethnicities use illicit drugs as a form of escape because they do not know how to cope with situations from a more sensible manner. America’s drug problems are not an “urban” problem, a Black or Brown problem but a “societal” problem affecting everyone within the country.  It is a continually growing problem because there are no spiritual institutions in place that help people to cope with these matters.

I remember watching a documentary that showed that when Canadian officials accepted that their country had a substance abuse problem.  They combatted the problem by focusing on educating people on how to cope with stressful matters using alternative treatment techniques like meditation and treatment. So that their citizens would not quickly turn to illicit drugs as an escape. As a result, the number of drug-related crimes decreased across the country. Please note that the Canadian government did not implement a perfect program because there is no one solution that is going to solve every problem. However, it should be noted that years before the U.S., they implemented a program to help ALL (not just a specific group) affected by illicit drugs versus imprisoning them.  The Canadian government simply took an “us” instead of a “them” approach to dealing with the problem.

To put it bluntly, If the U.S. had seen the crack cocaine epidemic as an issue that affected all American citizens instead of seeing it as a Black and Brown thing, the substance abuse problem it faces may not be as grand as it is today. This same selfish perspective can be seen in other US policies as well. For instance, if the U.S. had seen the erupting violence occurring in urban schools as an issue that would eventually affect the entire public school systems.  The number of school shootings we witness today would not be so common.

The thing about the Setian perspective is that it spiritually represents a childish mind state. This is the reason Set is said to be according to legend the youngest of the Kemetic divinities. Set’s youthfulness is also an allusion referring to the limited perspective that many youths live their lives from as they focus solely on the physical. For instance, those living from a Setian perspective will believe that when unplanned events occur. They are accidents, coincidences, etc. that just happens. Only individuals who have developed their consciousness to understand that we live in a cause and effect universe, know that nothing just happens. In other words, every time we have an unpleasant experience, it does not necessarily mean that it is bad. It only appears that way because our spiritual immaturity does not allow us to see the whole picture. To illustrate this, when the S*** hits the fan, we only see the physical things that occur in TASETT, which is symbolized as the Right Eye of Ra. To pass to the next stage of our development, we have to spiritually die, which is symbolized as the setting Ra Atum sun.

The Right Eye of Ra (Also known as the Solar Eye corresponds to literal and physical sight.)

The Right Eye of Ra , which is associated with the Ra moment on the Maa Aankh. It is also known as the Solar Eye and corresponds to literal and physical sight, hence the failure to see abstract and spiritual concepts.

So the question is what do you do when you are in this situation?

Generally speaking, simply relax and don’t fight it. The more you fight, the harder the experience will be because this is Maat’s way of restoring balance in your life. This is the reason (if you have not figured it out yet), that every time you become anxious the conditions around you become tenser. When you are rushing, that’s when things get in your way to slow you down. When you expect something to go wrong, that’s when things go wrong. These are all examples of Set manifesting himself in your life, which Maat supports because she is trying to connect you with your Osar who rests at the Amun Ra moment.

Why do we undergo this negative experience in the first place?

It is because during our lifetime while dwelling in TASETT you have acquired an impurity within your soul. This usually occurred somewhere between the Khepera and Ra moment.  The impure belief caused numerous problems in your life and manifested itself fully during the Ra and Ra Atum moment. When you surrender to your Higher Self and let it all go, it is when you meet your Osar and you are able to resolve your problem.

This means that the purpose of this experience is to purge the negative aspect out of you so that you can be receptive to the Spirit who is willing to teach you about you. which is symbolized as the Left Eye of Ra.

The Left Eye of Ra , which is associated with the Amun Ra moment on the Maa Aankh. It is also known as the Lunar Eye and corresponds to abstract and spiritual insight.

So, if you are going through a rough patch, it might be time for you to sit down, be quiet and listen to your Spirits to defeat your Set.

If Your Life Sucks It is Probably Because You Forgot You Are a God/Goddess Pt. 1

20 05 2019

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family

I have been toying around with this post for a few weeks now because I was not sure how to deliver it, but the time has come to just put it out there and just say what needs to be said. So here it is…

Maa Aankh with Utchat

Our universe is composed of two realities and they are the invisible, spiritual realm and a visible, physical realm. As I have mentioned before, our Nilotic ancestors in Kemet and Kush loved to use metaphors and puns.  So, although they called the northernmost region Ta Sett – the Red Lands because of the soil was red and arid.  And, they called the southernmost region Kam Ta (KMT) – the Black Lands because the soil was black, rich and fertile. These terms are also metaphysical codes referring to the characteristics of the physical and spiritual realms.

TASETT is not just an arid land. It symbolizes the physical realm and all of its limitations. The ancient Bantu priests in Kemet chose the desert as a symbol to describe the physical realm, to remind us. That because a desert has a limited supply of water all living beings in the physical realm are in constant competition with one another. Simply put, it is about the survival of the fittest in the physical realm because it appears that there are limited resources. The limited resources in the physical realm combined with the competition to survive also convinces people that the only way to succeed in through direct action and aggression. This is the reason TASETT (the Red Lands and the physical realm) is chaotic and ruled by Set – the Lord of Confusion.

Therefore, when an individual is grounded or polarized solely in their thinking that there is only one reality and that is the physical realm.  This individual is totally controlled by their lower self or subconscious part of their being, which focuses solely on physical survival and lacks higher reasoning.  This individual is like an irate customer searching for goods that have already been sold.  When news is announced that there are only one of these goods available, they result in struggling and fighting other customers as if it were Black Friday, hence no higher reasoning.

KAMTA is not just the name for the black fertile land in the southern region of ancient Kemet. The term was not only chosen by the Kemetic people to describe the Kemetians dark complexion. It was used to remind people about the mysterious and unlimited nature of the spiritual realm. Where TASETT is limited, KAMTA is abundant. Where TASETT is actual, KAMTA is imaginary.  Survival in TASETT depends upon direct actions, physical competition, and aggression. Well, in KAMTA survival depends upon cooperation and spiritual development.

Therefore, when an individual understands the nature of this metaphysical reality called KAMTA. They know that when our thoughts are held in our conscious awareness over a period of time, they manifest our physical reality. The individual who understands the abundant nature of the spiritual realm knows that if they declare what they want. The universe will deliver their request, which is the reason KAMTA is ruled by Osar who symbolizes higher reasoning skills.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

What this means is that if you are having a lot of problems in your life, symbolized on the Maa Aankh (above) as the Ra/Midday Sun descending to Ra Atum/Sunset.  It is because you forgot you are a God or Goddess who can create his or her own reality. If you believe that our Perfect Creator is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, then you should be pleased to know that unlike the biblical deity, the Divine does not make mistakes. Everything that happens follows a Divine Plan, which means that all of your problems are stepping stones to help you to reclaim your GOD CONSCIOUSNESS back at Amun Ra moment.

To Get Rid of Drama, You Have Get Rid of that Dramatic Religion

20 04 2019

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

If you are reading this post, it is because you have already made the transition or you are beginning to make it.  So, this is just confirmation as to why you made the move to embrace your spirituality.

So the other day I happened to see a televangelist who gave that same come to Jesus spiel or else in regards to the violence occurring in the streets.

And, it made me wonder, do Christians ever have a good day? I mean seriously, everything that they do is centered around drama and tragedy. A tornado hit and they say it is because “God” is punishing them. An earthquake hits and it because “God” is angry.  An accident occurs and it is because “God” wants this person’s attention, etc.

I have said it before, there is only one god that I know who acts this trivial and trifling and his name is Zeus.

When I was a kid and used to read Greek mythology, I remember after reading about the various Greek heroes and finally Homer’s Iliad. I told my mom, “Zeus is crazy!”  It used to always strike me as odd after reading it for so long that we are taught to use logic and reason all throughout life but, when it comes to religion-particularly Christianity.  We are supposed to suspend all logic and reason and just accept this badly written interpretation of a story that appears in the bible.

But, that is when something very profound came to me as I was shaking my head at the televangelist.

If it is true that if you tell yourself a lie long enough it becomes your truth. Then, the same can be said if you tell yourself a bad story repeatedly, then it too becomes true too.  Basically, what I am saying is that the reason a lot of people got drama in their lives is because they model their life after the Christian paradigm that is full of trauma and drama.

It is unfortunate that a lot of people do not understand that our mind is composed of three parts (Superconscious, conscious and subconscious) and that the subconscious (learning/mimicking) part of our being, draws upon that which it is familiar with. Therefore, if you go to church and have been told that you are sinned and flawed being, then you never aspire to be better. You accept your fate and believe that “God/Zeus” plays favorites and literally favors the Jews over the Gentiles, etc. You only come running to “God” when tragedy strikes but until that time you are free to do whatever you want.

Image result for zeus

The subconscious will only let you go as far as you believe you can go. So, this means is that if you are believing Christian that when you get in a bind. You are taught to pray (and beg) Jesus/God to save you. Who can say “Yes” or “No.”  If the answer is “Yes” then, God favors you but if the answer is “No” then, God does not have favor for you.

This means that when we see all of this tragedy and people losing their kids over senseless violence. It is because God does not have favor according to Christian beliefs. Because I am sure these people prayed to God for protection and everything else, but God was not pleased with them.

If you want God to be pleased with you, all you have to do is become a God/Goddess.

Kamitic Falcon

Kamitic Falcon

When you accept that you are made in the image of GOD/GODDESS and that your purpose is not to be a child of God forever but to become a God or Goddess walking on earth. Then, you open the gate of your subconscious and can now access greater knowledge and wisdom as the Divine does. In other words, you think and believe like GOD or GODDESS should.

For instance, one of my main stories is the Kemetic Story of Osar, in which the youngest brother Set kills his older brother Osar (Osiris). I can draw all sorts of parallels from this legend because it is a great story full of metaphors and symbolism. Although it is not a simple fix, the only way to stop so much violence is to issue a command that people wake up and realize their divinity.  A lot of people like Set are in a childish mindset spiritually and cannot seem to see beyond their four corner block, and understand that if they are GOD/GODDESS they got the whole Universe is theirs.

It is all about perspective and unfortunately, a lot of people are stuck in the Christian paradigm, which only gives them one perspective, one reality and that is of a slave/victim of circumstance.

If you want out and you want more, then you got to want to be a God/Goddess.
