You Might Need a Mojo (Spiritual Charm/Spiritual Medicine)

15 04 2015

Hetepu (Peace)

Greetings Family, well continuing our conversation about writing your own story by developing a magical mindset like our Kamitic (Ancient Egyptian) ancestors and their descendants, the term mojo is recent years has once again surfaced and entered the mind of pop culture.

mojo

Contrary to popular belief, the term does not mean sexual prowess and it doesn’t have anything to do with sex per se. It is an African American term believed to be a creolized form of the Yoruba word “mojuba,” which means “Thank you.”

Mojo Bag

There are other theories that exist about the origin of the word but I tend to accept the Yoruba mojuba one because as we have seen in past post. Our mind/Spirit is composed of a conscious, superconscious and subconscious. The conscious mind is the part of our being that we use to make choices and decisions.  It is the part of us that we call “I” and for this reason is called our spiritual heart, soul or in the Kamitic language – the Ab. The superconscious is the omnipotent and omniscient part of our being. It is where our most brilliant of ideas come from. Its purpose is to provide us with perfect solutions to whatever troubles us, because it is the divine spark called the Ba. The subconscious is the part of our being responsible for governing all of our personal memories and our autonomous bodily functions (those functions that occur without us telling it to do so like our digestion, regulation of our heartbeat, assimilating of cells, etc.), because its’ main purpose is to ensure that we physically survive.  The thing is that our subconscious does such a wonderful job in maintaining that it doesn’t want to change and that’s where the problem begins.

Our subconscious (and superconscious) does not discriminate. It does not distinguish between right and wrong, left and right, past, present and future, etc. These are all concepts created to help us understand our universe, but the universe does not conform exactly to these concepts. This is the reason if you repeat long enough what you can’t do something like learn mathematics.  You will find that eventually you can’t do mathematics. It doesn’t mean that you can’t do it ever. It is just that you put out in the Universe or told your Spirits you can’t, and the Universe or your Spirits manifested what you wanted. Why? Because you are made in the image of Divine and the Universe/Spirits must conform to the will of the Men and Women of the Divine. This is why if you keep waiting for karma to catch up and divine retribution to be enacted, you will be waiting forever. It is time to move on Family.

scale-of-justice

Of course, every time this is stated someone asks this silly question, so the answer is “yes.” If you as God Man or God Woman told the Sun to stop shining it would but what would be the purpose of doing that?  Why destroy the Universe for something as silly as to prove to you that you have the power of God within you? That’s why it doesn’t…let’s move on.

Anyway, most of the problems we have in our life are because our subconscious is so stuck in its habitual ways that it will fight every conscious decision to change presented. Say you want to lose weight. As soon as you say it, our subconscious has already given us at least six (or more) reasons/excuses not to do it, from being tired, not having time…you name it. You want to quit smoking cigarettes.  Your subconscious has already made excuses for why you should keep smoking cigarettes from it tasting good and being cool looking, to being accepted by those in your social circle. It is this way with everything we try to do. Want to find a new love; your subconscious will fight you on changing your ways to do that. Want to make more money; your subconscious will fight you and convince you somehow that it can’t be done because of all of those conditioned memories that you learned from your parents, family, friends and society.

baphomet devil

This is the reason the Kamitic sages personified the subconscious and called it Set (Set-an or Satan). Set or Satan, the devil, is called the Great Adversary. It is not because he is the epitome of evil, but because he is there to make sure that what you say you want is REALLY what you want.  And, when you realize that the devil is not some evil, red skinned, goat headed man running around with hoofed feet and pitchfork promising wealth if you sell him your soul, but is your lower self that is fighting you. You could think of Set basically as being your own fail switch.

You see, we want a lot of things but aren’t you glad that most of these wishes never came true? Like, aren’t you glad Sisters that you didn’t hook up with that one guy because you learned later that even though he looked good. He was lazy, abusive and really immature. Or Brothers, aren’t you glad you didn’t hook up with that one lady because you learned that she had a lot of self – created drama, she wasn’t supportive, and didn’t know how to love and respect a decent man.  This was all due to your Set opposing you and placing every obstacle he could find in your path. This is not to say that if it is easy, it is meant to be, but the purpose of opposition is to get us to overcome the impurities and shortcomings in our subconscious.  By constantly having opposition towards a particular thing, it forces us to reevaluate what we want and redefine our thinking.

For instance, you get into a relationship and one of the individuals in the relationship doesn’t like how the other manages their money. Set appears and an argument ensues, while he poses the question, “Are you sure you want to be with this individual?” If you decide no, then it is over, but if you decide “yes” then you will discover that it is a learning experience for both people involve. One individual has to learn how to manage their money, while the other has to learn how to teach or work with the other in overcoming this shortcoming. This is where “True Love” comes into the picture. It is having the patience and courage to work with another for the better despite their shortcomings.

I know what you are saying. Some of you are still wondering why bad things happen if we have a failsafe switch. It is because if we keep telling ourselves the same thing over and over again, it is assumed that apparently we have redefined our thinking and are certain of what we want. That means that your present situation is a reflection of the thoughts you focused upon in the past. I know some of you don’t want to accept this and can’t believe it, but it is true. Of course, no one deliberately dwells on negative thoughts. At least no one in his or her right mind. We do however complain about what we don’t want and that is just as bad.  Just recently, I witness a brother for the past two to three months complain about how he was tired of his wife. I mean every other day, it seemed like he was complaining. A couple of days would pass and he was fine, but shortly after he was back to complaining. On an average, he complained more about her then he did express his gratitude a month, so why in the world was he upset when he was served with divorce papers? It was because he he didn’t want her to leave, he just wanted her to stop doing certain things. But, guess what? He didn’t say that and the Universe/Spirits interpreted his constant complaining as he wanted his marriage to end. This is the reason you have to understand the Seven Codes of Maa and realize that Maa is not about following laws, but understanding how the Universe/Spirit works.

 M002

So, how is this done if our subconscious or Set is always going to oppose us?

Well, remember the part of our being that provides excellent solutions is called our superconscious or Ba. This is the divine spark meaning it is mysterious, abstract and irrational part of our being. Unlike our subconscious/Sahu, which is limited to our personal beliefs and experiences, the superconscious/Ba is unlimited, hence omnipotent and omniscient. This means if you want to get it to solve a problem for you, you need to hand your problem to it and trust that it will provide you with a perfect solution. This entails you not obsessing and worrying over the end results, which is the greatest way to destroy any prayer or wish from manifesting.

M001

One of the ways of doing this is by expressing gratitude for the blessings you have. When you do this, it signals to the Universe or to Your Spirits (whichever you want to call it) that you are appreciative of the things you have and want more. Another way is to make a mojo and this is why I think it stems from the Yoruba word “mojuba” because when you make such a charm you are still expressing gratitude but trying to either attract more or repel what you do not desire, through symbolic gestures.

A mojo is spiritual medicine, which Westerners call a charm. Most African American mojos have their origin from the Kongo Angolan region. They symbolize the end result or the desired result and are composed of herbs, papers and personal items which link the individual with the desired objective.  Now, lately everyone claims to be a hoodoo practitioner or a shaman because it is the faddish thing to do now. All of these people after taking a course are now calling themselves Papa, Doctor, Momma, Auntie, Miss Whatever. And, all of these people are claiming that in order to make a properly prepared mojo you have to use flannel, you have to use this herb, tie it a certain way, etc. which is just not true. These are basically people trying to get others to cosign their story in order to extort money from us.  Back in the day, if someone was given a title Papa, Doctor, Momma, Auntie, etc. it is because they earned it.  Meaning these individuals like most shamans had an ordeal they had to overcome. It was after overcoming the obstacle they were reborn and acquired a certain spiritual prowess in dealing with particular issues. Their success reflected in their life.  Our ancestors left us our own hero’s path or self – initiation road map as the Kongo Cross diagrammed as the Maa Aankh below.

Hru Path

The Kamitic Hru (or Hero’s) Path

In other words, I wouldn’t talk to Joe Smo’ about money issues and how to make a billion dollars from a $100. I would talk to Donald Trump or better yet, Warren Buffet because the proof is in the pudding. Well, the same was done back in the day in regards to spiritual matters and we need to get back to do things our way.

Now, when it comes to making mojos, no mojo is made the exact same way. They are all unique to the owner and the owner’s need.  For instance, what one woman needs to attract love may be rose petals, while another needs cinnamon, because these herbs symbolize the unique background and experiences of both individuals. This is why it is best you make your own by discerning which herbs, stone, items, oil, etc. symbolizes what you want.

Listen, I always refer back to what did our enslaved ancestors have. If our enslaved ancestors didn’t have flannel, a particular herb, oil, etc. Or, if the moon wasn’t waxing, full or waning, do you think that stopped them from making a mojo? I think not. They did whatever they needed to do and whatever worked to impress the idea upon the Spirit.

Alright, there are several ways of making these spiritual medicine bundles, but they should be small enough to fit inside the palm of your hand, no bigger. You can use the traditional red cloth or colored fabric to symbolize your goal – red for love, green for fertility/money, purple for power/success, black for absorption, white for wisdom/peace, brown for legal issues/justice, etc.  But, if a particular symbol doesn’t fit well in your scheme change it. For instance, I use light blue for legal issues because it is the color of the sky (air) for ethical issues, it is the color of most police uniforms, so therefore it is governed by Maat.

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Write what you want on a piece of paper. This can be white paper, brown paper bag, etc. Old books use to say parchment because the old grimoires and Jewish texts stated this, but it is not necessary. This is done to help you to focus on what you really want.

Next find items that symbolize what you want. This can be herbs, stones, small icons, symbols, etc. whatever you feel like putting inside of your little bag. The reason Catholic prayer cards are so popular is because the image of the saint serves as an excellent symbol for a desired objective.  Remember, the Spirit (superconscious/subconscious) doesn’t distinguish right and wrong, between black, white, brown, red, etc. It imitates whatever it is programmed to do, which means if you took a Saint Michael prayer card and used it for protection. The Spirit following the symbols inside would understand what you mean.

Once the charm is complete, tie it up so that none of the content inside will fall out. This can knotted based upon whatever each number symbolizes, just follow your intuition.  For instance, some people make three knots to symbolize the mind, body and spirit, or the father, son and holy ghost. I have even heard of knotting it nine times to resemble an umbilical chord, whatever you want. You are the creator of your own medicine, so no one is going to tell you what you are doing is wrong, and if they do who are they to tell you what works for you? Just because it is wrong based upon their learning, just means it is wrong in their eyes. We have to get out of doing things for other people’s approval and accept that what is right is what works for us.  I know it is ongoing process but you have to start somewhere, right?

When you are finish, bring your spiritual medicine or mojo to life. You can choose to pray over it using Psalms 23. You can clasp it tightly in between your hands, while sensing energy coming you and then breathe breath into it. You can smack it on its butt, to symbolize a baby taking its first breath. The choice is your God and Goddess.

Whatever you choose to do, after it is created you need to feed it. Feed it simply means giving it attention. The traditional way to feed a mojo also called a toby in the African American community is to give it a little whiskey or bless it with some favorite cologne, particular oil akin to its objective, or blessed olive oil. But, you can use anything. In the Afro-Caribbean culture they use rum and blow cigar smoke. Some even use incense and in Tibet and China, they use tea, honey and even milk. Again, it doesn’t matter, because the choice is yours. Whatever you choose keep doing it and if you created your mojo on a Friday, it is best to feed it every Friday so that you don’t forget. To feed it, all you need to do is follow your intuition, while telling it “Thank you for attracting (or repelling if that is what you are doing) your (goal).”

You should always treat your mojo with respect. Don’t other people touch it, because the last thing you need is someone else’s doubt. You got enough on your plate working through your own subconscious programming. The general rule of thumb is if you drop your mojo then the spirit leaves. This seems to be more out of respect and based upon the idea that if you think of your mojo as being a child, if it drops it is damaged. It is just a rule to ensure that you protect your medicine. Simply put don’t drop it.

Now, how do I know this works? It is because when I first learned about mojos it was because I had got a copy of Robert Pelton’s book The Complete of Book of Voodoo from a friend in Chicago, when I was in college. As I was photocopying it, I came across a page that had a torn out cigarette advertisement inside of it. When I asked my friend about it later, he told me that his grandmother would use images like this to help people overcome addictions. Did it work? Well, according to my friend, people kept coming to her for help, and the interesting thing is that I didn’t even find this particular rite dealing with addictions in the book (so it wasn’t about the book), which meant this lady conjured up this work (like a true shaman) out of her own Spirit to help this particular individual. In other words, she wrote her own Story.  So the question is, will it work for you? Well, the answer is how strong are your beliefs in the Power of God within you?

Understand, the Universe or Your Spirits, will answer your request in several ways by either:

  1. Giving you exactly what you want, or.
  2. Giving you a close or near equivalent.

Remember that this is one way of impressing what we want on to our Spirit and the reason we do this is because our subconscious, which focuses solely on our physical survival doesn’t want to change. To encourage change, we must use “allegorical speaking” hidden ways, like repeating declarations while falling asleep.

Maa Aankh Mind

At is only during this time (alpha – theta state), that our being is receptive to change.

Hope that helps.

Why You Need Maa (How to Get a Holistic View of the Cycle of Life)

14 07 2013

Hetepu Family Hope you are all doing fine during this very hot summer. Can’t complain. In a few months it might be cold as who knows what. Everything has its seasons, right? That’s Maa. I wanted to share something with you all that I have posted before but the more I in-sperience (inner experience) I get. The more I feel obligated to share to help others. Something has been troubling me because I keep hearing people having all sorts of mishaps with others yet; they claim to know about Maat.  Then, I keep seeing people talk about the goddess Maat means balance, law, truth, etc. Then these people talk about lighting a candle to Maat and chanting the 42 Negative Confessions, which is actually called the 42 Declarations. I keep coming across sites of people claiming all of this and it just really trips me out, because I don’t have a fanciful relationship with Maat. I have not found Maat to be fairy-like. I wish she were sometimes because it would be a lot easier, but I am glad in the end that she is not.

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Now, I am not here to criticize and casts stones.  I just want to state for the record my experience with Maat because this fantasy-like spiritual times that we are in where you can find anything Egyptian like in the mall at Spencer’s (by the way I do like this store) has people believing that you can do whatever you want, so long as you light a candle and give Maat some patchouli incense. And, I am here to tell you, that I don’t so.  This Western society that we live in is quick to follow anything and later deem it a fad because it doesn’t produce results. In the 1970s everyone wanted to be a guru. In the 1980s everyone was all about being culturally inclined. In the 1990s everyone wanted to be Kemetic/Kamitic. In the 2000s everyone wants to be a shaman, and so on. People claim to be spiritual in Western society but they are truly left-brained dominant, believing only in what they see. So, let me tell you from my experience who Maat is.

Scale of Maa

Scale of Maa

First off, Maat is the personification of the concept called Maa. Maa means truth, balance, order, law, morality and justice but lets explain this concept one-by-one. According to various Kamitic/Kemetic texts, when the Almighty God – Nebertchar (The Lord of Everything) created the universe, the first thing that the Divine created was the Maa. The Maa caused everything that came into existence to have its equal.  This is why our universe is full of duality. You can’t fire without water, light without darkness, expansion without contraction, or man without a woman, etc. So this explains the balance part.

Balance

Balance

The law part deals with understanding the dual nature in the universe. For instance, what goes up must come down – that’s Law. Natural conception occurs between male and female species – that’s Law.  Energy cannot be created only transformed – that’s Law and we can go on.

Law of Gravity

Law of Gravity

The Truth part deals with us all recognizing these dualities and the laws based upon the interdependency between them. In other words, we all know that what goes up must come down is the law of gravity.

Law of Thermodynamics

Law of Thermodynamics

We might not understand the Law of Thermodynamics but we understand the food chain and we understand that gasoline is combusted (destroyed) in order to become a form of energy to power our cars, etc.

Fibonacci Sequence

Fibonacci Sequence

Therefore, in order to understand the law requires a little understanding of science. When we understand science (and mathematic I might add) we see that there is a certain Order that nature follows.

Fibonacci Sequence in Flowers

Fibonacci Sequence in Flowers

The Fibonacci sequence is a fascinating phenomenon that illustrates this very concept. Science is riddled with Maa, the Periodic Table of Chemicals is another example of the Divine Order we call Maa.

Periodic Table of Elements

Periodic Table of Elements

How many people have you ever-heard talk about this in regards to Maa? Not many and we will see why here shortly.

Kamitic Ethics

Kamitic Ethics

So, let’s continue. We’ve covered the balance, law and order, which means if you understand that there is a balance and based upon that balance are laws that establish a particular order. This would mean that you would know that you couldn’t live any sort of way because it would disrupt the balance, be unlawful and disrupt the natural order of things, hence Morality. Now understand what Morality means. It doesn’t mean that you don’t have the desire to do wrong or to follow your lower nature. Sure, my wife is having a bad day (for whatever reason) and she comes home screaming at me. My conditioned response is to scream back at her but is that the Moral thing to do? No, the Moral or Maa thing would be to diffuse her fire with cool-water actions and behavior, like run a bath, put on some relaxing music, etc. until she is calm enough to discuss the issue. That’s Maa and as I told you, this is not fluffy bunny or fairy dusting.

Egyptian Fairy

Egyptian Fairy

If you read this and said “Hell NO!” or “No Way!” to responding to this situation, then guess what? You just turned your back on your chance of meeting the real Maat. You see most people who claim to know about Maa have no clue about the concept and definitely are just scratching the surface of the spirit called Maat. The reason is because Western society has painted a picture that anyone dealing with traditional spirituality particularly – African Traditional Religion and Afro-Diaspora traditions – are all about superstitious and animist beliefs. This has people thinking that the Kamitic philosophers weren’t just sitting in lawn chairs staring at the universe and cajoling Her to reveal her deep mysteries.  No, the Kamitic philosophers were scientist and Kamitic spirituality (moral living) was based upon science. People forget that chemistry or khemistry was created in Kamit. But, some of these people claiming that they are priests, priestesses, shamans, etc. are really just ego-tripping and I hope that they realize it before it is too late that you can’t just do what you want and claim to be following Maa. Now, I am not saying that you have to be a mathematic or science expert to follow Maa, but don’t just follow people because they got a good theory.  The cool thing about Maa, which I hope that you saw is that you, can test it and see if it works for you. If anyone told you different, then they just want your money and undying devotion. By the way, while we’re on the subject. If you ask someone to tell you about their maa (personal way) and why they do the things they do, and they start quoting scriptures or something that someone told them. This individual has no true experience or understanding of Maa either. Again, I am not here to judge or criticize anyone. I am just telling you my experience and what I know. If you were to meet me and observe my maa you would find that everything that I do is based upon what I know. I honor my aakhu (ancestors) because I know that they continue to exist on the other side of this experience we call life.  You would rarely hear me say, “…Because So-and-so said“ So, how do you understand Maa and learn about Maat if you are not into mathematics and science? Well, another missed point about Maa is that the concept also means, Sight, thus holistic. Many pseudo- Kamitic/Kemetic believers think that the Left Utchat or Aabit refers to the Third Eye but it actually corresponds to the right hemisphere of brain, hence intuition.

Maa Aankh

Maa Aankh

And, who speaks to us intuitively? You got it, the Spirits.

The Right Eye of Ra (Also known as the Solar Eye corresponds to literal and physical sight.)

The Right Eye of Ra (Also known as the Solar Eye corresponds to literal and physical sight.)

In other words, what you know based upon your personal experience is symbolized on the Maa Aankh (below) as the Right Utchat, or Aakhut hovering above TASETT – The Physical realm.

The Left Eye of Ra (also called the Lunar Eye corresponds to intuition and spiritual sight, hence insight.)

The Left Eye of Ra (also called the Lunar Eye corresponds to intuition and spiritual sight, hence insight.)

But what lies beneath your subconscious, the superconscious, hidden, mysterious or spiritual realm is symbolized by the Left Utchat under KAMTA – The Spiritual Realm.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

Remember the two Eyes are associated with the Sun and the Moon or Ra and Amun Ra.

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

This means if you are not all that, keen on your true mathematic and scientific thinking. Then you need to find a way to intuit and communicate with the other side. One way to do this is by using an oracle. There are several theories as to how oracles work. One theory is that since we are all connected to One Source, hence the Web of Life.  There are invisible threads like a spider web that connects you and everything in it together, so when you throw a shell, pull a card, read a random passage, etc.  The oracle is taking into account everything about the universe, your shortcomings, your family, friends, even your alleged enemies, etc. and symbolizing it in your throw.  All you are doing is really plucking that spoke or energy.

Web of Life

Web of Life

Oracles are not some spooky things, they are simply tools used to help you to intuit. There are all types of oracles that exist. If you pay attention to your dreams then you are using your dreams as an oracle. Oracles have been used all over the world by a number of cultures.  There are all sorts of examples of oracles being used in the Bible. For instance, in Genesis 44:4-5 and 15, Joseph the Dreamer used an oracle referred to as scrying. The Urim and Thummin oracle was used by the priests in Leviticus 16:7-8. There are other oracles that have been used in the bible as well.

Kau Chim Oracle

Kau Chim Oracle

In China the most common oracles known in the West the I Ching and Kau Chim, but there are a number of oracles systems used in China. In Africa, there are a number of oracles that are used. The most popular African oracles are Ifa and Meridillogun based upon the Yoruba spiritual system, but there are a number of divination systems practiced throughout the continent even by Christianized and Muslim Africans. The Koran is also used as a form of divination, just like African Americans in the United States use the Holy Bible.

African Oracle

African Oracle

Ok, some of you are all about Kamitic science and think that oracles are superstitious fake Cleo devices, but let me appeal to you metaphysically. According to Maa we are all interdependent right? If you can’t accept that truth what about the fact that you need balance. For instance, you know what you know, but what about what your higher self…do you know what it knows? The thing you have to keep in mind about oracles is that they do not predict the future. They simply weigh the odds based upon your decision and tell you the possible outcome. This means if you change your plan and attitude, then you can change the divination and therefore the outcome.

Maa: A Guide to the Kamitic Way for Personal Transformation

Maa: A Guide to the Kamitic Way for Personal Transformation

Let me give you an example. Recently, I threw a cast based upon the system I use described in the Maa: A Guide to the Kamitic Way for Personal Transformation, about a couple’s relationship. The picture that the tablets gave me was of a Father, Mother and the Youngest Child. The description was two adults trying to have a conversation but the youngest child interrupts them. What also came to mind was the image of a father and mother trying to have “relations” but the child’s presence interrupts them also.  I told the couple, the problem with their relationship is communication. I told them that they are not talking about things to one another. I told them that both of them are holding back their feelings and then it Maat spoke (not literally) to me and said, “Baby.” Following her lead I told the couple, “You are having problems because you won’t talk about a Baby.” Come to find out, this was the couple’s problem. The father wanted children but the mother didn’t and they never talked about it. This was their communication problem, so do you see how Maat gave me a holistic perspective? Living by Maa means getting a full perspective or a holistic view. If you are not taking into account your intuition, then you have a lopsided view of the Cycle of Life. You only see one perspective. You don’t see if your decisions are beneficial or damaging to you and those around you.  You don’t see if your decision is justifiable and because you don’t see the whole picture. When imbalances occur you think it is something that occurs “all of a sudden.”  Maat is the patroness of true scientists and she will show you that nothing happens “All of a Sudden.” Everything that occurs in our life is based upon Cause and Effect.

Maa-The Path of the Feather

Maa-The Path of the Feather

So, following Maat is not about doing what you want to satisfy your desires or the desires of others but following the Path of the Feather, which means doing what is ideal to restore and maintain balance in your life, community, etc.

7 Codes/Laws of Maa: The Secret to Moses’ Power and the Mysterious Books of the Dead

4 01 2013

Hetepu (Peace) Family

Recently someone asked me if I could elaborate on what the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa are and what makes them different from the 7 Principles of Maat.

Well, the fact is that all traditional healing systems function or operate by the same codes, laws or principles. Depending upon the tradition you have been called to the number of principles can range from 5, 7, 9 to 13 and so on. Most esoteric systems settle around seven because the number seven usually has a special meaning. In my own path it is Oset’s (Aset, Auset, Isis in Greek) number and corresponds to the number of manifestation. The number also relates to Oset, who was the foundation and the rock, the birthed Osar’s (Asar, Ausar, Osiris in Greek) return through his heir Hru (I am speaking metaphorically).  The number seven also relates to inner knowledge. Inner knowledge or insight is one of the principles that corresponds to Maa, symbolized as an eye for inner sight. But, inner knowledge for what you might ask?

moses

First put aside your intellect. It has already been confirmed that the Kamitic/Kemetic people did not have slaves build the pyramids and so forth. In fact, most Hebrew Kaballist don’t even believe the story was literally true, but metaphorically it was, which is why you need to put aside your intellect to understand this thing about the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa. Ready?

Well, remember Moses according to biblical lore was supposed to be an educated Hebrew that was raised in the palace of the Kamitic/Kemetic ruler Ramses (Ra Mesh)? Remember according to legend he could do all sorts of miraculous things? Then, when he led his people out of bondage he was going to give them some laws to set them free?

heston

Cecile B. DeMille’s Ten Commandments starring Charleston Heston.

Well, the laws that Moses was supposed to be giving his people were supposed to be the same principles that he learned in Kamit, that gave him the ability to accomplish the miraculous feats of legend. Keeping in mind what I said about sacred numbers, it should be noted that Moses wrote five books.  So, what happened? Why didn’t he teach them how to become god-like? It was because he learned that his people weren’t ready. This is why he got angry with them and threw the tablets. Actually he simplified the laws into simple commandments.  Sidebar: I remember I use to always wonder about this when I was a kid, which was why Moses had to tell his people, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t kill, etc. as if they didn’t know something was wrong with it? I use to wonder why didn’t he give the same commandments to the Kamitic/Kemetic people? It was because they already knew them, which meant the Ten Commandments is a ruse or a metaphor for something else.

Now, the Kamitic/Kemetic people (Ancient Egyptians) didn’t have a set of laws that they lived their lives by, like the ancient Hebrews did or like we do in these contemporary times. There were no laws stating, “Thou shalt not kill,” because such a commandment would not be applicable in times of war or self-defense. The Kamitic/Kemetic philosophers instead understood one thing that Moses took for granted and is taken for granted in our society today, which is that provided we all have considerable use of our five physical faculties, thus we can be considered normal.  We all have different cognizances based upon our affiliations, backgrounds, beliefs, etc., which is why we can’t generalize what truth is and is not.   In other words, you can’t expect everyone to be on the same page as you because we all have different levels of understanding based upon our knowledge and maturity.  This is why the children of Israel didn’t understand Moses.  This is why it is foolish to try and force someone to accept certain truths. In fact, I believe the present situations involving most organized religion is due to force conversions to religious beliefs, because anyone who truly understood these prophets would be dead set against atrocities occurring in their name.  This would mean that the heinous acts committed in these individual’s name (or so-called “God’s name”) are actually being perpetrated by individuals who have misinterpreted and misunderstood the original teachings. There is no way Jesus could have preached about love, yet at the same time those who had different beliefs he declare enslave and kill. This is why Jesus says and I paraphrase, “do not throw pearls to swine.”

This means that original message or Truth that was taught by these prophets was seriously warped and it was warped by seriously spiritually immature individuals. Said another way, “the swine got hold of the pearls.” How did this happen? Well, we all have played the childhood game of telling secrets, where the original secret that is told becomes a whole new story by the time it reaches the last child in the link. So, the Kamitic/Kemetic philosopher understood this and this is why they chose not to teach Truth in this manner.  They refused to create laws commanding people to do x,y, and z, but they understood that the people needed something to govern themselves with. So, the plan then became for people to learn how to govern themselves through “commonsense” and this is how I believe the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa were conceived.  It is based upon the fact that everyone (that is normal) has “commonsense” or God within.  The thing is that we have to learn how to listen to it, which requires self-discipline.  When we learn how to listen or follow our Higher Self or what the Kamitic/Kemetic philosophers called the ba, we discover what my spiritual teacher called “La Manera,” which is Spanish for “The Way.”  The Way is another synonym for Maa, which simply means in a nutshell that “what works for you may not work for me,” and this is where self-control, self-discipline and self-governing comes into play.

scale

Anyone that has really lived truth knows that TRUTH is dependent upon both knowledge and wisdom.

If Moses’ people were spiritually mature, he would have given them the same principles that he was taught, which enabled him to become the Great Conjure Man of the bible. But, they weren’t ready and this is why the only thing that people have to remember this event by is the Ten Commandments. The true principles however, were based upon Maa and another word synonymous with Maa is Faith and this is the secret to Moses’ power.  As any true kaballist will tell you, there is a whole host of magical charms attributed to Moses and magic isn’t fueled by the intellect but by Faith.

The first observable Truth that the ancient Kamitic/Kemetic philosophers could all acknowledge and agree upon was on the power of man and woman’s will, along with the fact that we all live and we all will physically die.  So, to help people to come into their divinity, governing their own “selves” and to prevent people from just making up spiritual paths as they go along to fit their whims.  The Kamitic philosophers created the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa, which were taught to Moses. These codes/laws have been adapted and modified to contemporary times but generally speaking they are:

1. Maa is Truth and Is Based Upon Perspective
2. Maa is Balance and Is Limited by the Mind
3. Maa is Harmony and Becomes What Attention is Focused On.
4. Maa is Justice and Doing What is Right, Right Now.
5. Maa is Love and Love is Exchange
6. Maa is Order and Not Coincidence
7. Maa is Propriety and Doing What is Relevant

As you can see, these codes/laws are ideal principles that speaks to each individual based upon his or her knowledge and maturity. These Codes/Laws based upon one’s maturity allows one to create the type of life they want provided it is according to Maa. Like the principle of gravity, they will never change and will continue to assist an individual regardless of his or her growth because they aren’t laws, so there is no need to update them. If you have studied another system, you will find that these Codes/Laws coincide with the principles of that system as well, provided it is focused on the evolution of consciousness.

For instance, Code 1 we see that the truth to an individual can be the religion that they were born in, but as an individual’s cognizance expands. It can include metaphysical principles and so on. Does it mean that one of the perspectives is right and the other wrong. Not at all.  In this situation both perspectives are valid, but the latter has more knowledge on the subject according to their awareness. It is like comparing an elementary math student to a phd math candidate.  Both perspectives are valid, the latter just has a better grasp on the subject because of his or her knowledge and maturity.

So you see, these 7 Codes/Laws of Maa or Principles were never meant to be Commandments or Laws because life is not black and white. Only spiritually immature individuals that have a limited understanding of who they are (Knowledge of Self) would see life as being so rigid, which is why they see the need for having Laws.  These individuals feel that if they didn’t have commandments or laws given to them by the Almighty God that they will not follow them. This is the reason the Commandments given to Moses’ people had to be modified, which is why John the Baptist and Jesus came into the Christian scene.

The Kamitic/Kemetic philosophers always understood that life is very grey, which is why they advertised, promoted and encouraged people to live a life dedicated to Maa (Balance). They knew that once an individual finds his or her Maa (Balance/Way). No one has to put the fear of God in them because they have a love for the God within them.  For instance, an individual with the Love of God within them according to Code 5 would not harm an individual just to do so nor would they allow harm to fall upon another, but they would defend themselves and others according to Code 4. This is because the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa made one responsible for themselves and each other. Part of the reason why is because at the core of Maa is Love, which is another principle associated with Maa.  This is why the netcharu (netjeru, neteru, guardian angel, etc.) that governed Maa was called Maat, depicted as a woman wearing a feather on her head. The feather symbolized that Maa is a powerful force that is light as a feather but very strong as a rock, hence it is the foundation for the universe as indicated by the uraeus (serpent) emerging from the third eye.

The Kamitic/Kemetic philosophers had all sorts of puns, and according to Kamitic philosophy Maa was the first thing that the Almighty God Nebertcher created after coming into Being. It is the foundation that our universe is built upon and everything from the duality that exists in nature to love is reflected through the Maa. This is why it is important that everyone find his or her own Maa, because it is how the divine energy is able to manifests itself through you.  For instance, as I mentioned in previous works, I grew up in a Christian household and never learned how to pray (at least not how I heard the televangelists pray), but the first time I set “Lights” (candles) it came easy to me. But, according to my Christian upbringing I was wrong for setting lights.  It was only because of Code 2 and Code 5 that I realized that this is my Maa (my Way). This is one of the ways the Divine works through me, by working through my hands. I now can lay hands and have used my hands to bless others such as blessing them through prayer, artwork, cooking, etc. It was through the Maa that I learned that I have what the old folks called ‘Healing Hands’, but I would never have learned this had I not followed the 7 Codes of Maa. Now, because I have Healing Hands, there are certain things that I have to do so that I don’t lose my divine talent. Like any other divine talent, if it is not used correctly it will be taken away from you. Not because God is punishing you but simply because of Maa – Cause and Effect. Without the 7 Codes of Maa, who knows how long it would have taken for me to learn this. As you can see, this is one of the ways the 7 Codes of Maa can help you to find your Way.

The Books of the Dead

So, when you compare the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa with the 42 Declarations (incorrectly called the 42 Laws of Maat or 42 Negative Confessions) and the whole Pert em Hru (the so-called Egyptian Book of the Dead which translates literally to The Book of the Sun/Day) we can easily see that the Declarations and the book itself is actually someone’s spiritual diary with their favorite scriptures, spells and so forth.

At first I didn’t want to accept this but, the more I learned about shamanistic culture. The more I began to realize that, that is what the Pert em Hru was, which is very similar to the Tibetan Bardol Thodol (the Tibetan Book of the Dead).  Those familiar with deep meditation know that when you meditate on a much deeper level you know that you will come in contact with a host of immaterial entities. These entities or spirits can be helpful or spiteful, but it all depends upon the practitioner’s perspective, hence Code 1. This is why even Set (the evil one) can be made to serve. Most authors miss the point when it comes to interpreting the Pert em Hru because they don’t understand shamanic cultures and shamanic traditions. It is only when we see the Kamitic/Kemetic society as a traditional African culture that followed a magico-religious faith with shamanistic techniques. That we will truly understand what the Pert em Hru was all about. Once we do, we will understand that the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa gives us the ability to write our own Pert em Hru, which metaphorically means The Book of Transforming Your Will. That’s right people, to the spiritually immature it was called a book of magic.

It is sort of like the Christian bible or the Holy Bible, which in Latin is called Helios Biblios or Sun Book (sounds familiar). Now, this is not by coincidence (Code 6). At first glance you would think that the early Christians simply copied it from the Kamitic/Kemetic people. I did as well, but I was missing the deeper truth. I had the facts but not the wisdom. It wasn’t until I reviewed how the elders in my life viewed the bible that I got a better understand what it was. You see, back in the day, older people would read and read and read the bible the closer the came to end of their life cycle on earth. It was like they were trying to memorize it. I remember meeting one elder who was always happy. When asked why he was so happy all of the time, he stated that he had one scripture that he remembered, which was a Psalms that he always repeated in times of difficulties. Old people throughout the Southern US were known for using the Psalms.  In fact there is a whole tradition on using the Psalms and even divining with the bible. Yeah, no one wants to talk about how culture seeps out of us even when we aren’t trying to but every time that preacher steps up to the pulpit and opens the bible. He (or she) is divining as to what the inner self needs to tell him or her self and the congregation. I have seen the same thing done with the Quran by people in the rural areas of Senegal.

Do you understand what the Christian bible is now? I might remind you that quiet as kept, the Christian bible was buried with the dead as well, just like the Kamitic/Kemetic bible. No one says, the Christian Book of the Dead but, this tradition is still practiced in some areas, so you do understand what the Christian bible is now?  It is the Christian’s Book of Transformation.  Many people have mixed views about the bible because of how it was used as a tool of propaganda, but in Theophus Smith’s Conjuring Culture: Biblical Formations of Black America, the author shows how African Americans, Jamaicans and others used the bible as a tool of resistance to conjure their own reality.

The problem is that most of our ancestors didn’t teach us before they left this plane how to do the same.  Fortunately, I discovered that this was possible because of the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa. Now, our ancestors didn’t know of the 7 Codes/Laws and probably didn’t call them as such, but these codes can be found in any traditional culture.  You see the thing about the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa is that if you think of them as being laws then they will degrade into commandments, which later becomes dogma. Again, this is the problem the ancient Hebrews had, which is why Jesus had to come and correct them. But, when you see the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa for what they really are you see that they are the same divine principles that gave birth to the Universe. That’s right. These are the same principles that the Creator used to create the Universe and everything in it. This is why by learning the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa, you can manifest similar miracles in your life because it is the foundation of spiritual technology. Everything such as the so called law of attraction and positive thinking is based upon the 7 Codes of Maa, which gives one the ability to change whatever he or she wills, hence the Pert em Hru.  For instance, we find the ability to lay hands on an individual is based upon Code 1, Code 2 and Code 3. Karma is based upon Code 4, Code 5, Code 6 and Code 7, and so on.  So, the 7 Codes/Laws of Maa were all about, teaching people how to come into their divinity and create the desired change in their life using the power of the divine. Simply put, the codes allows you to create miracles in your life. The Codes are not laws just guiding principles that should be kept in mind. It is through these codes anyone can pick up anything and make changes according to their will. Understand, that when I am talking about making changes, I am not saying that you can twinkle your nose like Samantha on Bewitched or tap your broom like Nanny McPhee. No, we’re talking about using the same principles that the universe were created upon to sow seeds in the invisible spiritual realm to manifest physically through faith.

Hope that helps.
