What “They” Will Not Tell You About Being Conscious

9 04 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

There is a lot of confusion about what Kemetic spirituality is because there are a lot of people claiming to be conscious and “woke.”  But, they do not have an idea what the concept means.  A lot of these people are “playing spiritual” and are simply riding the “conscious” bandwagon because it is the “in” thing.  So, let me explain what it really means to be spiritual for the truth seeker.

We are told in this western society that the only reality that exist and is worth mentioning is the physical realm.  As a result, we are educated, taught, trained, etc. to assess, evaluate and measure everything that we encounter based upon our five physical senses. Everything and everyone we meet, we are told to judge them based upon what we see and hear. This approach to life is what is known as Cartesian logic and it is because of this approach, most of us are prone to believe only what we can see and touch.

The problem with this approach is that this western way of thinking it is limited because our universe is not just composed of a physical reality.  Every other non-western culture knows and understands this.  If you pick up a book on feng shui, the first thing the Chinese authors talk about is how the western viewpoint is warped.  If you pick up a book on Hinduism they will say the same thing because there is a spiritual reality that exists as well, which is hidden to our awareness.  The thing we have to understand is that everything that we physically see did not just come into existence.  It manifested itself out of the invisible spiritual reality.  Therefore, we truly “conscious” people believe that the invisible spiritual reality is stronger than the physical reality and this is why we believe we can change our physical environment.  If you do not understand this or know this, you are not being spiritual.

The whole idea of being spiritual is that we know that everything that physically exists is temporary and an illusion. This is why my ancestors told me that the physical realm is TASETT – the Red Lands which is a symbol of a desert because deserts have all sorts of mirages of oasis.  This means regardless of where you were born, what you have done, who your parents are, what side of the town you come from, etc. none of this defines who you are.  ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE.

Let me give you an example of what I mean. Some of you have heard my testimony but I have to tell you so that you understand the gravity of the situation. Several years ago, my body was diagnosed with lupus. I remember when the specialist told me that it was lupus, the only thing I could think of was how my fellow Detroiter, J-Dilla, passed away from lupus complications. When I did some research on the ill-ness, I noticed that some people after being diagnosed had all sorts of complications, while others drove this ill-ness into complete remission. This made me think about my Mom and how she overcame cancer. When I asked my Mom how she beat the cancer, she told me that she basically had a talk with God and said that she had too much going on to leave. She said, “I told God, I need you to take this away” and shortly after it was gone.

What my mother did was tap into the spiritual realm and changed her physical reality, which is the same exact thing I did to improve my physical health. I did not rely upon what the doctors told me. I fixed in my mind what I wanted and made it a physical reality. Before this incident, I used to talk being spiritual but after I underwent my experience, I understood and became spiritual. You see, I had to learn the hard way that being consciousness is not about how many books you have read or how many books you got in your library.  But, when the sh*t hits the fan, none of this really matters. I know that our Ancestors are real because I talked to mine and this is how I know it is all about your MIND, which is the Creator’s greatest invention.

The funny thing is that I always have people ask if it was hard? My answer to them is yes, but they are surprised when I tell them that the hardest part was battling my lower self. You see, there were all sorts of negative and depressing ideas and thoughts that were trying to discourage my healing. I cannot even begin to tell you about all of the doubting thoughts that came to my mind and worse yet, the doubting and negative thoughts and energies that came from other people. Some of these negative energies were intentional but most were unintentional negative vibes that did not want me to recover. It was a serious battle but I managed to look pass the illusions and this is how I began to perceive the spiritual reality.  As I mentally fought these negative thoughts and energies, that is when I discovered that there is a spiritual realm for myself. Then, through my ancestors I discovered the Maa Aankh and learned that the physical realm corresponds to the subconscious part of our being, hence TASETT.

Maa Aankh

The purpose of our lower self or subconscious is to help us to physically survive by recording our personal experience in our memories. It is because of our lower self or subconscious, we do not put our hands into a fire because it reminds us that if we do we will burn ourselves. But, when the subconscious gets stuck with an idea or thought and refuses to change, that is when things become disastrous. For instance, imagine being afraid of fire after touching it.  As you could imagine, you would never cook your food, warm your house, warm yourself, etc. because of your fear that fire burns.

This perspective is totally dangerous because just like the physical realm, our subconscious is lopsided and does not see the complete view of the whole.  Our subconscious only can give us limited ideas from our personal experiences.  In other words, if you have never personally experienced something then you cannot comment on it.  We got a lot of people claiming they are spiritual gurus but all they have done is read a bunch of books.  A lot of these people do not even know what cosmologics is because if they did, they would not be worried about what the president does and giving into all of their fears. If you claim that the Supreme Being is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent then, you should know that we’re going to be Alright! All we have to do is seek a solution to our problems from within.  In other words, if an individual is truly about being spiritual, it will reflect in their life.  For the record, I have had my share of following fakes, which is why I am trying to get us to stop giving our power away and expecting people to save us.  Instead focus on saving our self!

This is the reason our Nilotic ancestors called it Set, which was later modified to Set-an and finally Satan.  Today, most of the world population is controlled by Set who gives us a lopsided view about family, relationships, money, health, education, government, religion, etc.  This is the reason there are so many contradictions that can be found in our health system. It is this same lopsided view, which is the reason all of these medications have adverse reactions and side effects. Relationship problems, such as high divorce rates and the attack on the nuclear family, are all due to this lopsided view given to us by Set, who is none other than our Ego.

Set of TASETT (from Maa Aankh 2)

Does it make sense why all of the violence we see occurring across the country in the school, public spaces, on the Internet, etc. are the ego amped up on 10. I mean have you ever seen so many people just go plum crazy and going berserk over the stupidest things? Have you ever seen so many people full of anger, rage, envy, etc.? It is all because we are all focused on one perspective or seeing the world from this lopsided view. We see only one side of the picture, which is the reason this realm is called TASETT – the Red Lands.  In the Story of Osar (Asar, Ausar or Osiris), this is metaphorized as Hru (Heru, Horus) battling Set and the conflict consistently ending in a stalemate because Hru’s eye was damaged.

So, we’re all living in the last days because we are controlled by our Ego, lower self or Set.  We will never find true peace, true prosperity, true happiness, etc. because no one in this lifetime has ever experienced it and since no one has any personal memories on how to get it. It is a pipe dream.  This is the reason most religious people thrive on devastation and will tell you that we are doomed.  But understand, this is only because these people are affected by Set too and can only see one of the whole picture as well.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

The truth is that we are not in the last days  and here’s where being conscious and spiritual comes into play. We all have a Higher Self and this part of our being is connected to the spiritual realm. Remember, the spiritual is more powerful than the physical, well within our being our Higher Self is more powerful than our lower self. In other words, our Higher Self, which the Kemetic ancestors called Osar trumps Set, but Osar cannot do it alone.

You must consciously and willingly call upon your Higher Self or Osar and when you do your Osar will intervene. This can be accomplished through divination, meditation and rituals. When you perform divination, meditation and rituals, you get to see the other side of reality. You see that things do not just happen. Accidents don’t just occur. Life is not full coincidences. These are all silly things that people say because they have a lopsided view influenced by Set.  If you saw the whole picture, the whole scheme of things, you will know that our world is governed by Cause and Effects. Whenever we see something “suddenly” happen, we are only seeing the Effect and not the Cause.

Divination, meditation and rituals can help you navigate through life. There is no need for Black Lives Matter or to protest when you see the whole picture because when you  inject your Osar into the situation, you can hit the enemy where it hurts. But, as long as we continue to use this lopsided view to solve a lopsided problem, we will continue to get these same half-ass results, like Hru did when he fought Set.

Don’t Forget the Real Reason for the Easter Season

28 03 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Good Friday and Easter are right around the corner. What’s funny about this season is that so-called spiritual people talk about the pagan roots of Easter mentioning how eggs and the cute little bunnies correspond to pagan deities.  But they fail to see the real pagan aspect of this holiday, so let me explain.

Have you ever wondered why the Christian holiday Easter changes dates?  According to the early Christian writers, the death and resurrection of their savior occurred around the Jewish Passover, which is celebrated on the first full moon following the Spring Equinox.  That means “Good” Friday Jesus died and Sunday rose again.

Now, since we’re not pagan and do not believe in worshiping people (or things) who allegedly died for our sins, but understanding the spiritual significance of celestial events. During Spring Equinox, the rays of the sun shine on the earth’s equator making the days and night almost equal.  However, we see Spring Equinox as the return of life, light and warmth from the dark and cold winter. During this time, the days start to become longer and warmer and the nights shorter as we move towards Summer.  The grass begins to grow, trees begin to bud, the birds are chirping, etc. because Spring or Fruitfulness is in the air, hence the reason pre-Christians used rabbits and eggs to symbolize the return of life and festivity from the dreary and cold winter.

Spring or Fertility signifies the return of Life from a presumably metaphorical death.

Metaphorically speaking, we are talking about the Superconscious.

Remember, the Superconscious is the deep part of our being that Ralph Emerson called the oversoul and claimed that all of our power comes from. Napoleon Hill called it the Infinite Intelligence, and our Kemetic ancestors called it the BA.  The Superconscous is the basis of all western religious beliefs but due to a lack of metaphysical understanding, spiritual concepts were interpreted literally. When Jesus speaks of his Father in Heaven, he is not referring to a Deity but his Superconscious in the deepest part of our being.  Jesus even teaches his disciples to talk to their Superconscious by saying, “Our Father who art in Heaven…”

From the Kemetic perspective, Osar (Asar, Ausar or Osiris) is the Lord of the Underworld, the spirit of fertility (symbolized by his green features) and the personification of our Superconscious.  Meaning Osar symbolizes the hidden force responsible for rebirth.  The return of Spring signifies Hru (Hrw, Heru or Horus) defeating Set and restoring the throne of Osar or the return of fertility but spiritually speaking. This celestial event is a reminder that to overcome our Set (Ego and destructive subconscious habits), we must consciously (symbolized as Hru) connect with our Osar (Superconscious). Remember, according to the Story of Osar, Hru fought Set and was unable to defeat his more experienced adversary at war, until he consciously took a back seat and allowed Osar to take over. In other words, salvation is not given. The only one who can save us is US.

Remember, we did not incarnate to this planet just to be a child who needs to be constantly saved from everything. We came here to develop our divine power so that we can save ourselves.  We are Children of the Most High and eventually we have to grow up because we incarnated here to be a god and goddess. So, leave the “saving” for the true pagans who want to worship men because they are afraid to be a god and goddess.

Hru Osar and Set

It is great to purchase new things for children, but remember the real reason for the Easter season and Celebrate that you Know about Osar!

What is Kemetic Spirituality (Kamitic Spirituality, Kemeticism or Ancient Egyptian Spirituality)?

25 02 2018

Before explaining what Kemetic (also sometimes spelled Kamitic, Khamitic or Ancient Egyptian) spirituality is, it is important first to understand a little bit about the Kemetic people and their way of life.

Kamitic Map Copyright Derric Moore 2012

For starters, according to the Kemetic texts, wall art and legends, the indigenous Kemetic people consisted of a numerous tribal people who migrated from a southern land known as Kush (Ancient Nubia the modern day Ethiopia and Sudan region).  Thousands of years ago, these ancient people settled alongside the Nile River and built an agrarian culture that revolved around the annual inundation of the great river.

Pyramid structure in Ancient KushLike most indigenous cultures from around the world, the Kemetic people studied nature and developed their spirituality thereafter. The Kemetic people relied upon a bartering system for goods and services. In fact, gold was not even valued by the Kemetic people as it is today, until after it was conquered by the Romans.  This bartering system depended on the annual flooding of the Nile to make the desert soil fertile, great importance was placed on ensuring that the waters of the Nile overflowed.  Without a monetary system, if the Nile flooded it produced fertile lands, which in turn yielded a successful harvest, that allowed everyone within the country to reap the benefits. However, if the Nile did not flood and the harvest was not good, then famine reached into the homes of both the rich and the poor.

To ensure that the Nile always flooded so that they were always prosperous, early Kemetic people began making ritualistic gestures accompanied by words for a successful harvest. If the following year the harvest was a success, then the ritualistic gestures and the spoken phrases were recorded and repeated to influence next year’s harvest. If the harvest was not a success after performing a ritualistic gesture and words, then that ritual was abandoned. In time, the Kemetic people had developed three methods of ensuring that they had a successful harvest and they were: 1) Making offerings to the Nile; 2) Ingesting magical potions and inscriptions; and. 3) Petitioning their ancestors whom they believed could influence the lives of living.

Kemetic Ritual courtesy of Wikipedia.orgSince Kemet was basically an oasis that relied upon bartering, a sort of quid pro quo philosophy developed and the most abundant offerings were incense and resins.  But, because incense and resins were so prized, only the king could afford to make these offerings for the successful inundation of the Nile. In time, it became the sole responsibility of the king to perform these rituals all over the country, to ensure that all of the Kemetic citizens could prosper.   Thereby transforming the king from an ordinary man into God’s representative on earth. Basically, the Kemetic king was seen as a mediator between the spirit world and the physical world symbolized by the leopard pelt, which was also a symbol of balance and self-control or Maa. Soon it became too much for the king to perform all of these rituals and eventually it was delegated to other members of royalty and the priesthood.

In a relatively short time, the Kemetic priesthood evolved and became so powerful that they were able to challenge the king’s authority because aside from performing rituals for the Nile that ensured that everyone was prosperous. The Kemetic priesthood worked as scribes, carpenters, metalworkers, physicians and artisans that provided a host of spiritual services to the people mainly because majority of the Kemetic people were illiterate.  To service their people, the Kemetic priesthood opened its’ membership to both both men and women, a celebratory feat that is still not seen in Judaism, Christianity and Islam because of sexism.  Some of the most famous Kemetic priestesses were Queen Ahmose Nefertari, Hatshepsut’s grandmother, the priestess Tamut and there are many others who held high positions in the priesthood in the Amun spiritual tradition.

Queen Ahmose Nefertari

In fact, through the Kemetic priesthood one could elevate their social status from an illiterate farmer to a high nobleman within the community.  There are numerous accounts of common people with special skills having a change in social status because they used their skills to improve the lives of others because the priesthood allowed people to hone their talents.   It was through the priesthood that various spiritual practices were developed and beliefs were shared with other cultures that the Kemetic people encountered. Because spiritual rituals permeated every aspect of the Kemetic peoples’ life, the Kemetic people were described as being the most religious people in the ancient world.

Life for members of the Kemetic priesthood was busy because the Kemetic priesthood was a business that focused on performing spiritual rituals the people. However, the average Kemetic citizen only venerated their ancestors and celebrated local and national spirits during their festivals. In other words, the basis of Kemetic spirituality revolved around the veneration of their ancestors. For the most part, the only time the average Kemetic citizen petitioned the higher spirits, divinities or so-called gods and goddesses, is for emergency purposes such as for a successful harvest and healthy cattle.  Again, the Kemetic people focused on group prosperity and not on individual, which allowed their society to exist for thousands of years. As a result, every western system such as western religion, western government, western science, western financial structure, etc. has been inspired by the Kemetic society and has desperately tried to imitate their success.  All of these western systems that were inspired by the Kemetic culture have failed miserably to mimic the Kemetic success because western scholars focused on treasures of Kemet because their tombs were full of valuables. Instead of on the Kemetic concept of Knowledge of Self.

Consequently, many of us live in a country that may be rich in Kemetic symbolism but it is not the bearer of the Kemetic Light.

In fact, many of us do not live in an agrarian society with strong and loving rulers. We do not have a trustworthy clergy and other professionals who are concerned about our health and wellbeing. Since our contemporary society is based upon a monetary system, which places values on technological gadgets and the possession of things like shoes, clothes, a new car, home, etc. Prosperity is not based upon ethics, morality of the services that one provides other citizens but the collection of material things. In this western society, religion is not used as a means of ensuring that everyone within the country is prosperous, but instead used to incite fear in its citizens of a tyrannical deity.  In order to ensure social obedience to the wealthy ruling class and dominance over the masses’ physical and mental potential. In place of an appreciation for nature and respect for all living beings, is the exploitation of the natural resources and the manipulation and maltreatment of all human beings, especially people of color.

The rising interest in Kemetic spirituality is to return back to the days before the rise of monotheistic religions – particularly Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Since the inception of these three main western religions, which were tasked with bringing peace to all of humanity. There have been countless atrocities such as the enslavement of people of color, brutality against women and numerous wars waged in the “name of God,” who supposedly is bringing peace on earth.

Oset (Aset, Auset or Isis in Greek) and the Virgin Mary

Before the rise of these Abrahamic religions, life on earth was relatively peaceful and simple, and since most of these religions borrowed concepts and principles from the Kemetic religions and spiritual traditions. Most see Kemetic spirituality as a purer form of these religions minus the religious dogma, religious fear and guilt about God, and religious social control.

All practitioners of Kemetic spirituality strive to live their lives according to the Kemetic concept Ma’at or Maa. Maa is the Kemetic word for balance, order, truth, righteousness, etc.  The concepts of Maa can be found all throughout the Kemetic literature because it is very similar to the Chinese Tao.  But unlike Taoism whose philosophies and practices have been preserved over the ages in books and secured in Chinese culture for hundreds of years, the books about Maa have been destroyed by looters and lost in the sands of times.

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Maat (the Personification of Maa)

Since there are no clear concise Kemetic text explaining in detail their beliefs and practices, adherents of Kemetic spirituality have interpreted the practice of the philosophy as they desire. Most followers can be grouped into two categories: Kemetic Reconstructionists and Kemetic Shamans.

Hru (Heru, Hrw or Horus) Leading the Way and Jesus leading the Way

Kemetic Reconstructionists (KR) are usually individuals who focused on reconstructing the Kamitic/Kemetic religion of old. As a result, most KRs rely heavily on the Kemetic spiritual texts such as the Pert em Hru (so-called Egyptian Book of the Dead), the Pyramid Texts, the 42 Laws of Ma’at (the model for Moses’ Ten Commandments), etc. Most KRs may have one shrine will a host of Kemetic icons on it to demonstrate balance, which in this sense is very similar to the original Roman Catholic religion prior to the Council of Nicaea.  The various divinities are seen as archetypes and/or emissaries of God similar to how the various saints are viewed in Catholicism.

The First Divine Trinity

However, overall the central theme in most KRs practice is the Kemetic Asar (Osiris), Aset (Isis) and Hru (Horus) who are viewed as the first and original divine trinity.  In fact, most KRs view Hru (Heru, Hrw or Horus in Greek) as the original prototype or avatar of Jesus who was born of virgin birth, identified by a star in the east, adorned by three kings, a teacher at 12 years of age, performed miracles, baptized at 30, crucified, rose from the dead, etc. 3000 years before the birth of Jesus. Some KRs worship Hru similar to the way Christians worship Jesus with the distinction being that the Kemetic hero is not seen as the literal savior of humanity, but rather as a divine energy that exists within everyone and can be used to help humanity save themselves. Consequently, a lot of KR practices revolve around meditation and meditative practices that focus on merging with the God-Self within.

Kamitic Shamans or Kemetic Shamans are usually individuals who use the Kemetic philosophy as the core of their spiritual tradition and combine it with influences from other spiritual paths (usually traditional African beliefs and practices) because Kemet is recognized as the cradle of traditional African spirituality.

Unlike KRs, Kemetic Shamans only believe in worshiping God who may be called Neter – the Supreme Being – or Nebertcher – the Lord of Everything; and working with a host of spirits such as their ancestors and divinities from other pantheons.  Most Kemetic Shamans are very eclectic and their altar reflects their spirituality. However, their main focus is achieving and maintaining balance in their life, and helping others to accomplish the same feat.

This is because Kemetic Shaman believe that the reason they are here is to perfect themselves by mimicking the Creator, who is the epitome of balance or Maa. In other words, most KS believe that when we have an illness, problem, etc. in our life, the physical problem reflects a spiritual imbalance. To live in balance is to live perfectly, and although one may not achieve perfection in life, one can still attempt. From this perspective, evil is anything done excessively, while good is anything that is done in moderation.  For this reason, it is not uncommon to find a host of other divinities on a Kemetic Shamans altar because they are all seen as forces working towards attaining and maintaining balance in an individual’s life.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most Kemetic Shamans are practical spiritual practitioners that focus on tangible results.  In order to achieve such goals, they are usually led by the Spirit, which could be the spirit of an enlightened ancestor, a spirit guide or a personal spirit guardian. Consequently, most of the KS beliefs and practices were not be found in a book. Most of their beliefs and practices are due to them communicating with their primary spirit and trial-and-error. When most KS speak about a subject it is because they have a had a personal experience with the subject they are speaking of. For instance, most KS would not advise that someone engage in a practice that they have not done themselves.

Because they are practical spiritual practitioners that are led by the Spirit, there are no spiritual rules, no religious dogma, no guidelines, etc. that the KS follow, except the ones that they establish for themselves. If something works they use it but, if something does not feel right, they abandon it.

On Monotheistic and Polytheistic Beliefs

It should be noted that Jews, Christians and Muslims will be quick to claim that adherents of Kemetic spirituality are idolaters because they have a narrow view of God.  This is because western religious beliefs is based upon the acceptance of an individual’s opinionated perception regardless if it is right or wrong.  The ambiguity within western religions is the main reason religion has created more division and authored wars among its followers and other faiths.  This is the reason women have been and are still persecuted in western religions because of the misunderstanding of Divine Feminine principle.

In Kemetic spirituality, God is understood to be the Creator of All Things, which means the essence of God exists in everyone regardless of their color, race, ethnicity, sex, and beliefs. This means that there is not just one way to understand who and what God is. In fact, knowing God is not based solely upon beliefs, but upon experiencing God for oneself. Since God is too abstract for our human mind to truly comprehend, Kemetic adherents believe that God has created numerous divinities, which all represent different facets of the Divine.   In other words, the so-called gods and goddesses are actually different aspects of the Divine who is the Source of Everything. That being said, Kemetic adherents do not worship idols, they simply focus on knowing all of the attributes of their Creator who they are mimicking since they are Children of God.

Overall, Kemetic spirituality is becoming increasingly popular because it actually delivers what it promises, which is an improved relationship with the Divine that allows one to see God within themselves. In other words, it delivers true peace of mind.

How to Distinguish When Your Guardian Spirits Are Speaking

31 12 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

I posted “How to Distinguish between the Higher Self, Ancestors, Spirit Guides and lower self” and wanted to do the Guardian Spirits separately because in my experience, they communicate differently from our ancestors and spirit guides.

If you read and study ancient literature from cultures around the world you will eventually come across a common theme, which is that the guardian spirits, the gods, deities, angels or whatever you choose to call them, can be very difficult at time to work with. In fact, true spiritual practitioners will tell you that you have to establish a rapport with some of these entities or they will refuse to work with you.  I have found that all of this literature is simply metaphorical talk indicating that these entities are protecting a particular energy.

Why are they protecting these energies you might ask? Well, every culture has their own take on it, but what I discovered was that it ties into why we are here, or our purpose. You see, if we were given everything that we wanted, we would be like an entitled, spoil child who does not appreciate anything that is given. So, a divine system was set up so that in order for us get what we want, we have to earn it.

Now, how I learned this is a story within itself but to make a long story short. I had to work with Sokar, the Kemetic guardian spirit of illness, disease, suffering and rebirth, once upon a time to overcome an illness because I abused coffee, caffeinated products and chocolate during my vegan days…LOL. Stop judging me, it wasn’t meat! LOL.  Anyway, I was in a real bad financial situation, young and really naive, so I was working two full-times job.  As you can imagine, I was burning the candle on both ends by not sleeping either.  Well, when I got knocked out, I got seriously knocked down. So, I started working with Sokar to repair my health. I read books, studied and experimented with certain effects of herbs, adjusted my diet, and abstained from certain foods and drinks.  I learned to meditate and stay focused for the whole day. I exercised, I wore certain colors and even a beaded necklace I made to honor and keep my mind on Sokar. I mean, I did a lot for over a month and then, finally I got Sokar’s attention and I received my health boon. I didn’t know at the time but after working with Sokar I later learned that Sokar only helps those who are persistent, resilient, mature and internally strong.

I used to think that Sokar was cruel but I learned that like the Hindu Kali,  Sokar helped me to learn that doing what is Right does not always feel good.  It is like taking medicine or eating vegetables. You do it because it is the Right thing to do.  It is the necessary thing to do. It is the mature thing to do. Everything cannot be sugar coated.  Sometimes you have to cut foods, habits, people, etc. out of your life in order to grow, and that’s what Sokar showed me. That’s how I was reborn.

I would not have had a maturer and richer life if I had not gone through that experience. It was this experience that helped me to see that the divine energy is guarded by these entities we commonly call gods, angels, deities, guardian spirits, etc., which westerners call archetypes. But these are not just forms that exists in the deep recesses of our mind.  They exist and can be found throughout nature, and since we are a product of nature. They can be found within us.

Again, based upon my experience, unlike ancestors and spirit guides, angels, gods, goddesses, deities, guardian spirits or whatever you choose to call them (I personally call them neters or netchars) are tied into the Universe so they use Universal symbols such as animal guides or totems. They are similar to your Higher Self with the difference being that they do not pop in and give you advice like the Higher Self unless you have a rapport with them.  Usually, when they do pop up it is through a totem or some other symbol.  For instance, I used to always have run-ins with dogs, especially feral dogs that always seem to travel in 3’s.  When I did the numerology surrounding my birthday, time of my birth and the year of my birth. The number 3, 9 and 21 were all over me and that’s how I found out that one of my spiritual guardians was the Kemetic Npu (Anpu, Anubis).

HRU (Heru, Horus)

As I have mentioned in previous post, the hawk-masked Hru also communicates with me using his animal totem the hawk. Please note that I am not saying you will have the same experience.  If you live in Antarctica and you were working with Hru, he might not send a hawk to visit you but you might suddenly run into someone wearing a tee-shirt with a hawk on it. Or, you might just get a Atlanta Hawks hat! Yeah, the guardian spirits are weird like that but the reason you want to connect with your spiritual guardians is because they will help you to build a rapport with the other guardians.

So, to learn how the guardian spirits communicate to you, remember these are universal energies, so they exist universally.  It does not matter what face or avatar you choose. Simply follow your intuition and if you need help, call upon your ancestors and spirit guides. Once you do this familiarize yourself with their colors, sacred numbers, animal totems and human archetypes. The more you do so, the more you will see that we are not alone. We have just been deluded into believing we are alone, so that we do not reclaim our heritage.

Hope this helps.

Why Every Spiritual Minded Individual Should Have an Oracle

31 12 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, one day I was watching a documentary I think about the San people and how for centuries, they managed to retain their culture even in these modern times.  When the American visitor asked the San elder about their culture and lifestyle. The elder explain how they got their food from the land and asked the American visitor if he wanted to accompany men on a hunt. To which the visitor acknowledged and said he would.

Centuries of wisdom had taught the San men to walk in a single line as to not confuse their foot tracks. It also taught them study their surroundings, observe the animal tracks left in the arid land, the animal droppings and most importantly how to get water from the dry vegetation if they were dehydrated. Then, after days of hunting and unable to find a prey so that they could bring it back and feed their village. One of the men took out a pouch revealing an oracle. With his oracle in hand, the man asked his ancestors to give them direction so that they could successfully find an animal to feed their people. Then, the oracle was thrown and after giving praise the man gathered the pieces and they proceeded in another direction. Shortly after, they spotted their prey, which they quietly stalked and gently killed to feed their village, the American visitor and themselves.

In typical westernized fashion, the show continued talking about how the San people lived their lives as such for centuries. It completely glossed over the fact that if the one man had not used an oracle, the men’s hunt would have been unsuccessful. The divination practice was glossed over because in western thinking, divination does not exist due to the fact that it cannot be explained scientifically. (Divination can be explained, but more on that later).

The reason most westerners do not understand divination tools is because of charlatans, parlor trick readers (such as the ones shown in the TV series “Shut Eye”), television psychics, etc.  This combined with overzealous preachers with poor historical and theological skills, who have put the ‘fear of God’ in the public by claiming that oracles are evil or the works of the devil. Most people are convinced that oracles are objects that foretell the future.  In truth, oracles do not predict the future, they simply inform you based upon present position, past anxieties and apprehensions, the decision you will most likely make. They give you an objective response regardless if you want to hear the truth or not.  The apostle Paul witnessed this first hand.  Although, fundamentalist Christians are quick to point out that Paul exorcised a “demonic spirit” out of a slave girl. What they fail to mention is that the reason Paul “exorcised” the slave girl was because she possessed an oracular spirit who was annoying Paul by proclaiming truth about him (Acts 16:18).

Before proceeding, it should be noted that every culture has used oracles to speak with God within but fundamentalist Christians are quick to argue against it by reciting Leviticus 19:26, which states “Do not go to mediums or consult fortune-tellers.” However, these fundamentalists refuse to mention that the Great Jehovah allowed certain divination practices such as arrow sortilege that was randomly shaken from a case; the careful study of a sacrificed animal’s liver; prophetic dreams; the use of teraphims, the Urim and Thummim lots, which was not a casting of votes as fundamentalists proclaim.   It should also be noted that these oracles were used in both the Old and New Testaments, even after the death of the Christian savior. The reason the Christian God allowed the use of oracles in the bible is because they are tools to help you to communicate with the Divine within.

For instance, if there was a supervisory opening at your job and you were qualified for the position, but might require you working late hours, working on the weekends (especially Sunday) and worst yet, you will have to supervise your office pals, which means no more goofing around as before. The oracle is going to tell you that a position has opened up and you are qualified to do it but are you emotionally and mentally mature to handle such responsibility? Do you have the discipline to do what is right versus what is easy?

Every oracle, no matter if it is a simple tool like the flip of a coin, game dice to playing cards, simply. All oracles do basically the same thing and the only difference between them is the complexity and detailed insight they give. For instance, a deck of cards is more complex and efficient then a 25 cent quarter piece because the deck of cards has more symbols (4 suits x 13 cards = 52 not including the Wilds) than the heads and tails of the quarter.

For the record, I am against seeing mediums and consulting with fortune-tellers too because you do not know if they are being genuine.  In fact, the real reason westerners are often taken advantage by charlatans, parlor trick readers, television psychics, overzealous preachers and we can also include in this list dishonest leaders, televangelists, professionals (dietitians, doctors, scientists, etc.), politicians, etc. is because western culture is based upon a monetary system. This means that we trust only those who have purchased their credential over our own intuition. As a result, we look to everyone outside of our self to tell us what the best thing to do for our life is, instead of intuiting what is best for ourselves.

Why do we do this? Because most of us do not understand that the Divine is within. We do not understand that everything that exists in the Universe can be found within our being. In short, most of us do not know when God (or our ancestors, spirit guides, angels, etc.) is talking. So, when we receive hunches from our Higher Self we are not sure if it is us talking or what.  When we receive symbolic instructions from our ancestors in our dreams. We ask other people to interpret them instead of learning how to interpret our dreams ourselves.  We want the preacher man to tell us how to live because we respect them as being the divine mouths for God, instead of seeking the kingdom of God from within.  Simply put, we are programmed to go without instead of going within.  Therefore, if you are tired of being taken advantage of and placed in a vulnerable position, consider learning and using an oracle.

Now before I proceed, understand that I am not saying that there aren’t any good leaders, clergymen, professionals (dietitians, doctors, scientists, etc.), politicians, etc. but in a money based economy that is fueled by competition. Where it is impossible to know if an individual is being honest, genuine or just greedy and selfish.  The oracles can help.

Oracles can help you discern if someone is being honest or not. They can also help you to see another’s intentions but most importantly.  Oracles can help you to help you overcome your own shortcomings because the reason most of us cannot succeed or evolve to the next level is because we self-sabotage our progress. We could be working on a project and everything is going well but then our anxieties, fear of the unknown, fear of failure, etc. kicks in and the next thing you know…KAPUT!

Oracles can be used in other situations as well. For instance, everything in your life is going well and you meet your ideal mate whom you decide to marry. Then several years later, your spouse becomes gravely ill, lose their high paying job due to accident, or “suddenly” out of the blue tells you that they are not happy. In the Maa: A Guide to the Kamitic Way for Personal Transformation, where I briefly speak about an oracle I am fond of.  There is a listing of the Seven Codes of Maa, which are very similar to the Seven Universal Laws.  There we find that Code 6: Maa is Order and Not Coincidence, which means basically that accidents and other events do not “suddenly” happens. It only appears that these events and incidents suddenly occur because we cannot see with our naked eyes the invisible forces leading to event but, oracles can see and help you to see the whole universal picture.

When you use an oracle, essentially what you are doing is taking the guess work out of the equation and handing the issue you are dealing with over to your BA and sahu.  In a nutshell when you do a reading your sahu brings all of your stored memories to the table, which includes your wants, desires, anxieties, fears, past experiences, etc.  And, your BA brings all of your potential to the table. Your BA says, “You are not healthy, wealthy, successful, etc. now but other people with similar circumstances are so your dream is not impossible. “ Oracles give you the straight objective truth.

For instance, I remember hearing of a lady who went to a diviner to help her find a companion. According to the diviner, this lady was tired of being alone and really wanted a man but could not figure out why she was not able to attract a decent suitor. When the oracle was casted it revealed that all the lady did was go to work and return home. This was her daily routine and the oracle revealed that she was not going to find anyone by following the same routine. She had to do something different if she wanted different results in her life.

There are many types of oracles such as dreams, scrying, tea leaves reading, and bibliomancy just to name a few. It does not matter which oracle you choose to use but when you become proficient in the use of it. You will receive messages and omens using this system. For instance, the other day I was outside dumping the garbage and out of nowhere a hawk appeared and captured a little rodent. I knew right then and there, that was Hru speaking to me because Hru uses hawk totems.

HRU (Heru, Horus)

Note that oracles do not tell you what to do. They simply give you a snapshot of what will happen based upon the present situation and if you make a certain decision.  Therefore, to change the predicted outcome revealed by an oracle, simply change your decision.

Also, it is ideal that you get a reading, you should do so for major problems.  Although, you are not going to be punished for asking for insight on buying a new outfit, a pair of shoes, etc. It is considered insulting to ask for such trivial matters. Instead, ask for insight regarding serious situations such as job loss, illness, family issues, etc.

So, as you can see, the only real reason why people discourage you from using oracles is because they want to continue taking advantage of you.  This is why in this day and age, every spiritual minded individual should have at least one oracle to help them to develop their intuition because we are really going to need to use them in this upcoming year, to direct the course of events for our people.

Hope that helps.

How to Develop a Maa (Holistic) Perspective

28 09 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

One of the biggest misunderstandings we hear when it comes to spirituality is that the physical world is not real. When people begin to ‘wake up’ or become conscious (enlightened), they are told that the physical world is not a real without further explanation. Some spiritual teachers actually tell their students that only the spiritual realm is real and that it exists above and beyond the physical world.

This is not true per se. This misconception and misunderstanding is due to Westerners culturally appropriating the Hindu concept “maya” without properly understanding the philosophy behind it. The term “maya” is often translated to mean “illusion,” but its literal meaning is closer to “deception.” In other words, maya is a deceptive force that deceives us into seeing that the physical world can give us everything we want, including peace, prosperity, love, wealth, power, happiness, etc.

It is not that the physical is not real.  The physical realm is very much real.  It is that the physical realm casts an illusion that it is a separate and the only reality.  It deludes us into thinking that we are trapped in this realm. For instance, if you are born into poverty, you will also be impoverished, which is an illusion.  If you are ill, you will always ill according to the physical realm, but again this is an illusion because it has been proven that most illness are psychosomatic. Most illnesses are influenced by a thoughts, actions, beliefs, etc.  When we see accidents, tragedies, etc. the physical realm makes us believe that these events just happened or all of a sudden occurred. In other words, the physical realm creates the delusion that we live in a world of happenstance because we do not see the front end of Maa.

The truth is that the physical realm is the end product or the end result of the spiritual realm. Whenever we see planned and unplanned events occur, what we are witnessing is the physical effect of a spiritual cause.  Said another way, the physical realm is a manifestation of the spiritual realm, which is the reason the spiritual realm is called on the maa aankh KAMTA (the southern region of Kemet or Upper Kemet) because it was the inundation of the Nile River in this region that flowed upward and made the northern region TASETT (the Red Lands or Lower Kemet).

Maa Aankh with Utchat

So in Kamta the physical realm is called TASETT (the Red Lands or desert) and is identified with the Kemetic/Kamitic adversary Set, the author of confusion, chaos, war, etc. because it is an energy that creates the delusions of happiness, power, prosperity, peace, etc. from physical things. Set, the foe spirit that governs this physical realm or TASETT, is the spirit of deception that causes us to be selfish, egotistical, arrogant, narcissistic, self-centered, etc.  For this reasons, we say that Set blinds us from seeing the whole as Netcher (Neter) intended.

Understand. If you think that money, sex, drugs, or any other physical thing is going to give you happiness, prosperity, peace, etc. You have been blinded by Set, as the Kemetic hero Hru was when the enemy gouged his eye. But, at the same time, if you think that you do not need the physical realm or that the spiritual realm is the only thing that is important, thus resulting in you thinking you do not need money, shelter, food, etc. Then, you are being too spiritual and not practical like Osar (Asar), which resulted in him underestimating Set and leading to an early death.

To bring Maa (Balance) into your life so that you can see with both eyes, here are several activities that you can employ:

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

  1. Build an ancestral altar. In the Kemetic Legend of Osar, after Oset and Nebhet collected the dismembered body parts of Osar. Everywhere they recovered a missing part they erected a shrine in Osar’s honor, which is an allusion to ancestor veneration. The reason ancestor veneration is the most widely practice tradition all over the world is because it is proof that there is a spiritual reality beyond this physical reality. The followers of Set have done a great job convincing people there is a heaven and hell but have yet to prove the existence of both. Ancestor veneration is proof that the human soul does not die.
  2. Begin to Practice Divination. True divination is not a means of foretelling the future and determining the winning numbers of Powerball. By the way, the purpose of divination is not to tell you what you should and should not do. The true purpose of divination is to show you the consequences of choices that you make. Divination provides you with the intuitive or the spiritual side of reality, which is the reason the Kemetic sages ingeniously state that after Set gouged out the young Hru’s eye. It was Djahuti who repaired his perfectly and made it whole.
  3. Rhythmic and Meditative Sounds. When I first became attracted to this way of life, I remember I was watched the movie Quilombo which inspired me to listening to the sacred songs of Cadomble. As a result, the sacred music of Candomble became a gateway that helped me to go into a meditative state. Today, I can listen to blues, gospel, traditional African, etc. and it will transport me to the spiritual realm, thus allowing me to get a Maa perspective. In order to use music as a tool, it is best that music be slow, rhythmic and preferably in another language (or no words like drumming music), so that you are not focusing on the literal meaning of the music but the rhythm. If you possible, you can also try drumming but note that it may require you to drum for several hours.
  4. Studying Metaphysics. Studying metaphysics can also lead to one expanding their awareness but it has to be combined with ritual in order to give a holistic view of reality. When metaphysics is not combined with ritual it leads to “intellectual masturbation” which results in the creation of numerous theories without any practical application. In other words, you are just talk and no action. By combining metaphysics with ritual you are able to see which theories are applicable.
  5. Studying Dreams. The language of the BA (Superconscious) and sahu (subconscious) are symbols, so when one dreams or has visions. They need to ask what does the symbol mean in order to interpret the dream. By diligently studying the symbols in one’s dreams, one is able interpret the vast symbols that exist in nature. Certain patterns such as seeing three feral dogs or encountering individuals wearing red and black, will become easily identifiable as Npu, the jackal masked spirit. Through studying dreams and symbols it becomes clear that the physical realm is a manifestation of the spiritual realm.

There are other ways to establish a Maa perspective in your life but the methods used above are the ones I have found to be the most useful in my development. One thing that must be understood, is that every method does not work the same for everyone. Some people may be more clairvoyant, clairsentience, clairaudience and/or claircognizance. It is rare that one individual will have all of these traits but understand that these are all signs that one eye is being repaired.

Ancient African Spirituality is doing what is Right not (necessarily) what is, Easy

29 07 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know there is a lot of confusion about what ancient African spirituality is about. Some people think that it is all about receiving a cool name listing all of these ancient African spirits.  Others think that it is all about living with no consequences for your actions and behaviors.

I understand and know this because I remember that when I first became interested in ancient African spirituality.   I came across this book where this lady was given instructions to get a particular man by offerings the orisha Oshun a pumpkin with her loved interests name inside of it, along with other objects sacred to the Yoruba orisha of love. The lady was also instructed after her petition was answered to make a weekly offering to Oshun for her continual blessings. After this lady made the offerings, Oshun brought this lady and man together but a few years later. The couple began to have all sorts of problems, until one day her husband became so furious that he grabbed the weekly offerings the lady was making to Oshun and threw them on the floor. When the lady went to the individual who gave her the initial instructions for capturing her loved interest. She was simply told that the same way Oshun brought them together, she could dissolve their relationship as well.

I remember that after reading this story I thought that all ancient African spirituality was all about was you doing a spell and “Voila!” You magically get what you want, so long as you keep the spirits happy. What I learned, the hard way I might add, is that this is not African spirituality. This is what the Hollywood horror films and other misinformation about African traditions want you to believe ancient African spirituality is about.

It is true that if you make an offering to the spirits, that “Voila!” They will give you what want or at least put you in the right place to get what you want. However, after you get what you want, you still have to do the work to keep it. For instance, if you do a love spell for the spirits to get you a man or woman, but you do not know how to keep that man or woman because you have a “stank” attitude, bad manners, you talk “at” your loved one instead of “to” your loved one, etc. Guess what? That person you attracted is going to leave because this is “African influenced magic” not ancient African spirituality. African magic makes up a very small percentage of ancient African spirituality. I would say at least 2 – 5%, while the bulk of ancient African spirituality involves working on yourself.

You see, African spirituality is based upon what I call the Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self) and involves working on yourself because it understands. That most of our problem are self-created, self-induced and self-inflicted problems that stem from our sahu (subconscious). In other words, most of our problems are due to destructive, nasty and negative habits that we most likely learned during our childhood.

This is hard for a lot of people to accept because many do not understand how they got their destructive habits. Well, don’t beat yourself up about them because as I mentioned. You got them subconsciously (sahu), which means you did not deliberately learn these destructive and negative habits. As a child, you indiscriminately imitated them because your Ab (conscious mind/spirit heart) was not developed. When we are all children, we are all very impressionable and believe everything that we see and hear as the gospel truth.  To get real with you, a lot of what we believe is the gospel truth, we learned from our parents – primarily our mothers.

Yes. Many of the things that our mothers taught us is the reason we are having problems because as children. Our mother cannot do wrong, after all she carried us in her womb for nine months, breastfed us and was the first human being to teach us anything. She repeated everything to us and took the time to teach us the first things that make us who we are. To many of us, subconsciously Mom is (the first) God and God cannot do any wrong, so it is hard for many of us to accept that our Mom may have taught us something incorrectly.

But, what we have to understand that if there is something that we are in the habit of doing and it is not working for us. It is not Maa (Truth), which means it is not based upon the Ba (Higher Self) but upon the sahu (lower self) and to be exact, our parents (or Mom’s) opinionated perspective.

So what does all of this mean?

Well, it means that your personality, which was influenced by your Mom (and/or parents) is not who you are, but how you are in the habit of acting and behaving as.

In African spirituality you can’t say, “This is how I am” , “Just accept me for who I am” or “I can’t do x, y and z” because this is not who you are. This is what you are in the habit of acting and behaving as. Who you are is based upon your Ba (Superconscious/Higher Self), which is a clean slate that means you can become anyone and anything.

In other words, you may come from a broken home, which means psychologically speaking. You most likely when you grow up will have relationship problems because this is what you are habitually familiar with due to your subconscious (sahu) programming.  However, you have a Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self), which means that you can change this subconscious program and have a happy relationship.  You simply have to ask your Spirits to help and work through your conditionings.

No, it is not going to be Easy (all the time) but it is the Right thing to do and it is worth it. History is full of examples of individuals who have overcome incredible odds that were stacked up against them to become healthy, wealthy, powerful and influential people. If they can do it, you can too!

Hru and Set – Fighting the Devil Within

Only angry, egotistical and lazy people say, “This is who I am” as an excuse for their destructive, nasty and negative behavior.  Being yourself is great if it works for you but, if keep hitting a brick wall in regards to your health, finances, career, relationships, etc. Yourself, is most likely a subconscious (sahu) habit learned when you were younger.  And, this is the reason in the Kemetic tradition, our subconscious (sahu) habitual self (lower self) or ego-self is symbolized as Set (Typhon in Greek, Set-an or Satan in Judeo-Christian belief ), the spirit of chaos, havoc, laziness, stubborness and destruction.

You will know it is Set influencing your behavior because Set fights against positive change and wants you to continue to blame others for your shortcomings. Set is the lord of excuses and wants you to keep getting the same results using the same old conditional thinking. He will use everything within his power, especially fear to discourage you away from positive change.

The beauty of ancient African spirituality is that it focuses on your Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self), which is symbolized as Osar (Osiris).  Osar wants reminds us that at any time we can hit the reset and start over because our Ba gives us a clean slate like a blackboard that can be erased.

In other words, it does not matter where you come from or what your background is because your past does not define who you are. It only indicates what you have overcome. Therefore, the magic of ancient African spirituality is that it helps us to not focus on what we are, but what we can become.
