Beware of Kemetic Bulls***!

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know what Family? Ever since the showing of The Hidden Color (HC) docufilm series there has been a slight elevation of consciousness but a massive elevation of BS.  Understand. When I say a slight elevation of consciousness it is because those of us who have been conscious for some time, to the point that we never even called ourselves “conscious,” that after watching HC.  We all said the same thing, “That’s good. That’s not totally correct but okay, it is a starting point.” Everyone I know said the same thing because there is a lot of good information presented in these series, but it is just that. Information. And, the interesting thing is that it barely scratches the surface of how deep our ancestors are.  Think about it. If our ancestors walking alongside the Nile almost 3000+ years ago, do you really think you could sum it up in one or two videos? If you think so, you really do not know how deep we really are. I will explain here shortly.

But for those who are new to this; those who think it is cool to have a Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) name or some other suffix behind it; those who think it is cool to rock a natural hairstyle wear a dashiki, have an Egyptian tattoo and some Egyptian jewelry, etc. took this in another direction.  These clowns watched the film, memorized everything that was said, created a blog or Youtube site, and professed to be conscious or “woke.” Now, they sit around creating outlandish titles (and they get paid for this) to get hits and likes because they wear an Egyptian name and people think they are talking about Kemetic spirituality but they have nothing to do with Kemetic spirituality.

Family, there are two types of Kemetic Bulls***ers.  The first group and the largest group are these “conscious” people who have never read a book about Kemetic spirituality.  The first sign that they are spurting Kemetic Bulls*** is that they are attacking others who do not share their views. If these individuals were truly into Kemetic spirituality they would know that we are all at different levels of spiritual growth and that there is not one spiritual path. Therefore, these individuals have simply taken their Christian (Baptist, COGIC, Apostolic, Jehovah Witness, etc.) and Muslim (Sunni, Shiite, etc.) ideologies and imposed it on consciousness.  In other words, they are the still christians or muslims arguing that Jesus (or Mohammed) said do this but now they are wearing some African garb, the RBG colors and rocking a natural wig.

The second Kemetic Bulls***ers are these so-called “conscious” people who have read book but they have not sat long enough to obtain any wisdom. These people think that reciting a bunch of historical facts and other details about Kemet is Kemetic spirituality.  The first sign that these people are Kemetic Bulls***ers is that they always have a bookcase full of books to make it appear that they are intelligent. All they are doing is boosting their ego and the ego remember is symbolized by Set (the Lord of Chaos and Confusion).  This is the reason there is so much controversy and dissension associated with these individuals.

Let me explain that these individuals are actually very “learned.” Meaning they have mimicked the information perfectly like Djahuit’s (Thoth) baboon.  Understand. Information is the pathway to wisdom but it is not wisdom. Wisdom comes from actually applying information over a period of time. The information has marinated in your spirit to the point that you know what works for you.

Proof that they are “learned” and have no wisdom is that they will give you the basic information about a Kemetic divinity. For instance, if you said Anubis, they will tell you “He is the god of death, the first god of the underworld, a jackal headed god, the god of embalming,” which is all information you get from wikipedia. People who have a working personal experience with Anubis such as myself may say, “Anubis or Npu. I just talked to this spirit and told him to help me find something. Afterwards we shared a cigar and some rum together.” Then, they will laugh because they understand that Anubis is an archetype that exists within them and the Universe. Understand the difference?

Npu – Watching and Weighing the Soul of the Dead

Family. There is no such thing as good or evil, which means there is a lesson you can learn from everything. One of the things I learned about the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was that the best way to deter a movement is by diluting it with propaganda.

Get it right. I am not pointing fingers and saying who is and who is not an agent of or Kemetic Bulls***ers. I am simply saying watch out for the Kemetic BS! That is anyone and anything promising to deliver something just because it has a Kemetic name or word attached to it.

I fell for this a couple of times. I am lying. I fell for this a few times. I remember I purchased some products (at different times) by well-known individuals within the “conscious” community because it had the word “Kemetic” on it, an ankh on it or some other icon tying it to Kemet.  I remember I was like Po from Kung Fu Panda, eagerly waiting to receive the secret Dragon Scroll. Because, I had psyched myself up to think that when this book, video, etc. arrived in the mail, it was going to totally change my life.

Kung Fu Panda copyright of Dreamworks

Once I received it, I was so disappointed because it was not what I had imagined it to be. None of these things delivered what they promised, but in a way all of these products did deliver something. I was just too caught up in the western “savior mode (thinking something outside of me can save me)” to see it because the answer was always within me.

Let me tell you something about Kemetic spirituality.

Venerating the Dead

Have you ever wondered why the Kemetic people never left any detailed texts on how to raise your family, how to live healthy, the best foods or best dietary lifestyle, the best business plan, etc.? Have you ever wondered why the Kemetic people for thousands of years kept writing the same after death theme in their books and writing the same hieroglyphic texts on the walls?  Think about it. Three thousand plus years of nothing but texts about death.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being. TASETT also represents the SAHU, KHAB, KHABIT & KA Divisions of the Spirit

It is because the Kemetic people understood that this physical world was not real and is based solely upon our subconscious or ego-self/Set.  Meaning, nothing in this physical realm will bring us true happiness, peace, prosperity, etc. It only satisfies the ego because it is short term and temporal. This is the reason money cannot give us prosperity, drugs give a temporary happiness, etc. The physical realm and everything within it is an allusion, it is TASETT – the Red Lands (desert) full of mirages (empty promises).  This is the reason the Kemetic people never invested a lot of time and energy into staying here. This is also the reason you cannot find ancient texts written by them on trying to preserve life here. Are these subjects important? To each its own, it is relative.  But the most important subject that our Nilotic ancestors did not want us to forget was that what we call the real world is an illusion.

Understand. The illusion, the maya is that this physical realm is concrete and final when in fact, it is simply a physical manifestation of our beliefs, ideas and thoughts. Yes. If you are having a miserable physical experience right now, check the beliefs, ideas and thoughts that you hold in your awareness.

That is Kemetic spirituality. Period.

The reason Kemetic writers wrote so many texts on death is because in the end, your afterlife is going to be a mere reflection of how you lived your life. Meaning the beliefs, ideas and thoughts you held in your awareness during life are going to be the ones that determine how your soul is going to exist in the next realm.

Judgement Scale

When you really understand this means every experience is propelling you to be a god or goddess. For instance, if you have anger issues, you are going to find yourself put in situations where you will easily lose your temper, until you learn how not to react to everything angrily and trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor without you become irate. This means rather you adopt a certain dietary lifestyle, dress a certain way, adorn your hair al naturelle or dyed and laid to side, has not a damn thing to do with your destiny. Are they important, sure if you want them to be but your salvation is depended on you learning how not to react to everything angrily and trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor without you become irate. Period.

Understand. If you have anger issues, then every time you find yourself in situations where you lose your temper becomes your daily judgment where you stand before Osar (Osiris), as shown above.

Again, is your diet important, your hairstyle, etc. are they important? Is it important that you learn how to make money? Again, it is all relative. For some people, you may have to adopt a certain diet to help you but it is not a requirement. For others, you may have to adorn yourself in a certain manner, but don’t get it twisted.  If you incarnated here to learn how to deal with your anger, your salvation is on you learning to deal with your anger. That is your destiny or purpose of being here.

Once you understand this, then everything is relative to your destiny or purpose of being here. You can start a business, plan a revolutionary movement, work to build up your community, etc. so long as you remember, to trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor and do not take it personal by becoming irate (if your destiny deals with overcoming anger).

OMG! This is when the real magic occurs. You are ready to blow a gasket but you remain calm trusting the Divine within you, while someone is acting a fool and trying to engage you in a fight.  Then, you are rewarded for being calm and the person slips and breaks the arm for offending you, hence the gods and goddesses (spirits) are fighting your battle. This is what Kemetic spirituality is about.

To understand your destiny, all you need to do is study the recurring problems you continue to have in your life. Know that Kemetic spirituality is not about following this person or trusting that something is going to save you. It is all about learning how to trust your Osar, hence resurrect the Osar within you who for most of your life has been a silent and whispering voice.

You Cannot Offend God…Com’on Grow Up

8 06 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know back in the day there was this real popular church musical that my Mom and I remember all of her friends wanted to see called Your Arms Too Short to Box With God. The title was catchy and I remember people going nuts trying to see this sold out musical.  But it conveyed a message that sticks with many of us today despite not actively participating in the church.

The message is that somehow we think we can offend the Supreme Being.

I mean, I have come across people alleging to be “woke” and reciting the 42 Laws of Maat (the 42 Declarations of Maat) all because they do not want to offend the Creator, which is just baffling to me.

Look, it is real simple.

If God is omnipotent, omniscient and so awesome as most people say God is.  Why is it that people think that they can offend God? I mean if we could offend God by saying a cuss word, lying, being dishonest, etc. What does that say about our god who is so easily offended, yet is supposed to know everything including our weaknesses?  If you don’t want to say it because your Set (ego) has you scared and shook, then I will say it for you. If our God is so easily offended then it means that our God is WEAK!

There. I said it. I know, I am going to get struck down by lightning by God, but sorry it is actually Zeus who strikes human beings down with lightning because he is easily offended.  Not our Perfect Creator, Nebertchar or Nzambi Mpungo.

If we really knew who God was we would understand that God is too abstract and incomprehensible for us to understand. This means that God does not discriminate and does not have any likes and dislikes. God also does not give a damn about good and evil or right and wrong because if God did the same air that fills our lungs would not have filled Hitler and every other monstrous person that has and is walking the planet.

Think about that for a minute.  God gives the breath of life to both allies and foes alike, so God does not play or pick sides. God does not favor the spider or the fly. They are all insignificant to Our Creator.

So you know that this means?

It means that human beings are like ants to God, which means God is basically a “kind” version of an antbully.

In other words, God does not really give a damn what is going on in our life, no more than you would give a damn about the life of ants and the predators that ants have to deal with. Think about that.

This means one thing. If you are going through some hell, you better tap into the Divine Power that God instilled within you because if you cry out “God save me.”  God is most likely going to respond back and say,”Save yourself.”

If you are dealing with some type of indigenous spirituality God might even add, “I gave you got Ancestors, Spirit Guides, Guardian Spirits and divination.”

Kemetic spirituality is not about being in another religion. It is about learning how to save yourself by mastering universal principles such as the Seven Codes of Maa. We cannot offend the Supreme Being. We can only offend one another. Its time to abandon these childish, fanatical, spiritually immature religious belief of the Children of God, and step into our big boy and girls underoos (underwear) and become Adults of God or simply put just Gods and Goddesses.

I Was A God Before I Was a Berber, Muslim, Moor, Christian, Hebrew, Alien, etc.

17 04 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

I have been asked by a lot of Family on some of the claims that we were originally Moors, Muslims and/or Hebrews, Alien, Atlantean (Atlantis), etc. prior to being brought to the Americas.  Previously, I would shun away from these discussions because personally I could never see how any of it was practical and could empower me and my loved ones. I respect everyone’s beliefs and ideas, and if something works for you, so be it.  But I have had trolls try their best to sabotage this Kemetic spiritual movement, by posting all sorts of unchecked facts and ridiculing the sacrifices that our ancestors have made for the liberties we have. It is sad, that these individuals prefer to waste the opportunities that our ancestors had sacrifice for us to have by standing on the corner and shouting out rhetoric or troll sites focused on true empowerment. So, here is what I have learned and really why I believe many of these people who claim to be conscious do not want us to know about the truth about Traditional African Culture.

The Moorish Christian War

Before we begin, the Moors is the term that was used to describe those African, Arabs and Europeans who converted to Islam.  They were originally called Berbers which is an ancient Egyptian word meaning “outlander.” Initially the Berbers were called Mauri because they were inhabitants of the Roman colony Mauretania Caesariensis which later became Mauritius. This area consisted primarily of modern Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Tunisia and Mauritania, which is the reason the people were called Mauri.  The Greek name for this Berber tribe was Maurusi.  The Spaniards however referred to them as Morenos, the Portuguese said Mouros, while the English simply called them Moors.

Now, the Moors were the custodians of the Kemetic spiritual sciences after Kemet had fallen and they used this knowledge to build the Moorish Empire.  The Moorish Empire included Spain, Portugal, and Sicily.  The Moors ruled Spain from around 700 A.D. and were the ones responsible for bringing Europe, out of the “Dark Ages.”

But everyone was not happy with the Moors because unbeknownst to them.  There was a plot by the Christian Europeans (Spaniards, Italians and the French) to rid Spain of them and around 1482, they succeeded. It is not exactly known why the Europeans wanted to rid themselves of the Moors because during this time Europeans were not color conscious as they are today, and the Moors were seen as their saviors.  However, it is believed that it was due to the Moorish strict Islamic laws. Europe, you will recall was in poverty and the cheapest meat at that time was pork, but under Moorish law they could not consume it. So, it is possible that the coup d’état was driven by European hunger.  Whatever the case, to celebrate the expulsion of the Moors, the people ate pork. To this day, Spain is known for its special breed of pork from Iberia. Another popular Spanish celebration to commemorate the expulsion of the Moors is the Running of the Bulls, thus indicating through symbolism that Moorish rule was most likely viewed by most Europeans as being cruel and tyrannical. This would also explain the reason why similar traditions were created in other Spanish controlled areas such as bull fighting in Mexico.

In fact, most (if not all) the carnival celebrations began to commemorate the expulsion of the Moors and the acceptance of Roman Catholicism, which is the reason these celebrations continue to this day in territories that have a high concentration of Spanish and Portuguese influences and are Catholic. In most of these carnivals, the antagonist was always portrayed as black in color to symbolize the Moors.

It wouldn’t be long after that other Europeans unfamiliar with the Moorish and Christian war would join in and see the black antagonist and assume it was about all black people. In fact, many of the blacks in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominica and even the Mardi Gras Indians who were aware of the racist undertone changed the carnival theme to celebrate their collaboration with the Amerindians to end of slavery.

Upon defeating the Moors, the Spaniards gave them two alternatives which was to either return to Islamic countries where they came from or denounce their faith, accept Christianity.  While some stayed, most of the Moors settled in Morocco where they along with Arab traders participated in the Arab-Slave trade, which enslaved Africans throughout the Sahara and continues to this day.

The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade

After the Spaniards expelled the Moors, they took their sciences, maps and information about navigation to come to what they called the New World. Again, the question that we must ask is why? Historical records indicate that the Europeans began exploring because of the lack of food. Europe remember was in the “Dark Ages” and there was a severe food shortage because Europe was cut off from the Asian Silk Road.  The Italian Christopher Columbus was bankrolled by the Spaniards and when he set sail, he was trying to reach Japan but landed in the Americas in 1492.  Upon his arrival, Columbus called the people Indian because he was looking for Asia.  Another interesting fact that should be remembered is that after the Europeans came to the Americas, potatoes, corn, tomatoes, and beans, which are all foodstuff native to the Americas became widely available, thus verifying that it was a lack of resources.

As imagined, the Spaniards greatly profited from their exploration, which attracted the attention of the neighbors, the Portuguese who were also once under the Moorish influence.  When the Portuguese set sail, they were initially just exploring and found their way to West Africa so that they could create trade to improve their country’s lot.  Around 1483 the Portuguese encountered the BaKongo in the Kongo-Angolan region.  Astonished by the European technology and culture, the ruling Kongo king converted to Christianity and declared the new faith the state religion. Later, he established a treaty with the Portuguese, which opened the doors for the transatlantic slave trade.

By 1494, the Portuguese had established a strong foothold in West Africa and were regularly trading Africans whom they had captured along the coast.  However, Portuguese traders were enslaving every African they came across and totally breaking the treaty rules. Now, how did the Portuguese know to go to West Africa for slaves? They saw the Moors do it because it was a regular practice to enslave anyone who was not a Moslem, which included the Africans who were initially enslaved first by Arab traders. The Portuguese were attracted to this lucrative industry and their involvement turn it to a global trade.

With the Spanish dominating the Americas and the Portuguese controlling West Africa, an agreement was reached between the two countries. Consequently, the first Africans who were enslaved and taken to the Americas were obviously the people from the Kongo region, which is the reason the Kongo influence in Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, and Jamaica is so prevalent. The first Africans taken to North America were also from the Kongo-Angolan region.  All of these people were captured and sold between the Portuguese and Spaniards.

By the time the other European countries got involved in the slave trade, the war between the Moors and Christians had been long forgotten. The Dutch, French and British simply saw the slave trade as a means to grow their respective country’s wealth.  As a result, all the people with black and brown skinned were seen as primitive Africans and were treated as such.  When these European countries entered the trade, they abducted entire communities, which is the reason we find an extensive number of Yoruba people in Brazil and Cuba, Dahomeans and Fons in Haiti, Akans in Jamaica and so on.

Therefore, it is a myth that most of the slaves brought to the Americas were Moslem.  If this were the case, Islam would have been a thriving religion throughout the Americas but it was not.  Another common myth that some people use to encourage us to join Islam (or some version of it), is based upon Alex Haley’s Roots, which claims that many of the Africans brought to North America were Moslems. Again, the late Bro. Dick Gregory stated that this story was completely fictional.  Some will even state that Joseph Cinqué (c. 1814 – c. 1879) also known as Sengbe Pieh, which the film Amistad was based upon shows that most of the Africans were Moslems, but this is not the case. Also, it should be noted that according to some researchers, when Cinqué returned to Africa he engaged in the trade of slaves according to missionary letters that author William A. Owens, claimed to have.

For the record there were Jewish African who were captured and enslaved as well but they are catching worse hell. Again, were they all Hebrews? Not hardly and using the bible (especially that whole descendants of Ham theory) to justify our presence is a mute point.  Considering the fact that Noah did not curse Ham/Kham or Kem but he cursed Canaan but it ridiculous to even debate this considering the fact that Noah was not even real. The whole Noah Ark story is a colorful metaphor that people have been interpreting literally for hundreds of years. Get real. I would rather embrace a story that verifies my divinity then, someone else’s servant as we have been reduced to by referring to us as Hebrews, Gentiles., etc.  How about call us by the name our Kemetic ancestors called us, “NUK OSAR (I AM GOD).”

Now, lets be clear.  Were there Muslim who were enslaved and taken to the Americas? Absolutely.  Proof of this can be seen in American blues music when compared to Malian music.  Another example of the Islamic influence can be seen in the Afro-Cuban religion Palo Mayombe, where the common greeting is Sala Melecum, Melecum Sala which is the Creolized As Salim Alikum.  But the Palo Mayombe religion is not Islamic, it is very Kongo and is based upon the Kongo Cross (shown below).

The Kongo Cross

There is also an Islamic influence in the Creolized Caribbean Spiritism traditions as well, which verifies that were African Moslems but these traditions do not have a strong Islamic influence.

They have a strong Kongo and Yoruba influence, not Hebrew, not Muslim, etc. Even in North America, Kongo artifacts such as Kongo cosmogram used in the Underground Railroad have been found, not any Islamic or Jewish artifacts.  It was based upon this understanding that led me to see how these Kongo concepts and principles have their roots in Kemet via the Maa Aankh, thus reclaiming our ancestral theology that was lost during slavery.

So, why are all of these people say that we were Muslims, Hebrew or some other fallen and forgotten people?

It is for two reasons:

First), many people say and repeat these myths because they have been succumbed by the erroneous belief that we lost our culture, when in fact. We did not lose our culture, we lost the philosophy and theology behind our culture. Many of our elders have been doing libations, setting plates and honoring our ancestors without even knowing why. If you go to any Black Church, you will see proof that our culture survived.

The Second reason people continue to repeat this myth is because in the minds of most, Africans were and are primitive people living in grass huts.  Traditional African culture is viewed by many as backwards to the point that many are simply ashamed of it.  It is for this reason, contemporary Africans migrating to the U.S. and Europe will not even claim to believe in ancestors or spirits.  Simply put, it is more acceptable and reputable to say that we are Moslem, some distant Jewish people or some other group then, it is to say that we are Yoruba, Akan, Fon, Kongo, or other African people who practice a form of Vodun beliefs.  These so-called “conscious men” do everything within their poser to distance themselves from traditional Africa, which is why you will hear they call Africa terms like Akubulan and Asia, thus claiming we are Asiatic or Afro-Asiatic. If the truth be told, the original names of Africa were Kemet, Kush and Aethiopia. This is what the Greeks called it when they encountered the people from this region but that’s besides the point.  The point is that by claiming we are all of these other labels, we are simply embracing another form of self-hatred.  Let me say it again, all of these labels are another form of SELF-HATRED, pure and simple.

I do not claim any of these labels. I do not even claim to be Kemetic.  For record keeping purposes and for the sake of this discussion, I claim to be an Afrikan in America. All of these people claiming to be this or that are afraid to be God, so they settle for being a Child of God. Not me. My African ancestors created a culture to cultivate our divinity and it was dispersed throughout Sub-Sahara Africa among traditional African people. It was this slavery foolishness and all of these other foreign influences that disrupted our progress as a people. By embracing of the traditional African spirituality, we are able to pick up where we left off.

The question that we should ask is why these people do not want us to claim our traditional African heritage and why do they use the bible, koran or some other “holy” book to justify what they are saying?

It is because of two reasons:

First, they do not want to empower women, which are the critical factors to our spiritual and physical liberation.

Because we live in a male-dominant society, when it comes to Kemet or any other indigenous culture, we always hear about the great men warriors and priests.  But, the first priests of Kemet were actually women, just like the early shamans around the world were women. If you go back and read Greek history you will find that they always talked about the great oracle of Apollo, Delphi, etc. but, what they do not tell you is that the oracles were usually women. Not only that, most of the slave revolts that occurred in the Americas were incited and initially led by women. Women were highly valued in traditional African societies because of their psychic skills, which allowed them to foresee the future.  Hence the importance of Oset (Aset, Auset, Isis), who is honored as the Divine Mother who nurses and births the nation.

Oset and Hru

Understand. We all have psychic abilities, which for most people are in a latent state, but women psychic skills are a little bit more active then most. Most of these male-chauvinistic religions take advantage of women psychic abilities by using their psychic energies just to draw in more devotees and parishioners to make a select few money. Once you have money, you basically have power to do whatever you want. This is reason you do not see any women imans, women rabbis, etc. in these male-dominated religions because they do not want a woman in a position of power.

This is not the case in traditional Afro-Diaspora religions and traditions because women are recognized as a vital part of the whole. In traditional African women are the opposite of the male puzzle necessary for creating life both physically and spiritually. They are the Tefnut to Shu, the Yin to Yang.  A woman with spiritual discipline was highly prized in Africa because through these women psychic abilities, African nations were able to change the course of war.  Remember, the Zulu king, Shaka kaSenzangakhona also known as Shaka Zulu, was guided by an elderly woman, whom European writers said was a spooky witch doctor, but this was all a ploy to discourage the Zulus from embracing their spirituality.

The second reason they want us to forget it so that they can use it for themselves.

Anyone who has read and studied history knows that the “enemy” is big on culture appropriation. We have seen this with our music, artistic expression, religious beliefs and practices.  Historically what happens is that as soon as we get tired of something because it has been demonized, we abandon it and the culture vultures claim it, flip it and use it to empower them and further oppress us.  This attack on our ancestral spirituality has already began in Haiti where Vodun is the official religion where people are abandoning it and embracing Christianity to escape the stigma.  The same attack is being waged throughout the Afro-Latin America such as in Brazil and Venezuela.

Basically, “they” know that traditional African religions (ATR) and traditional African derived systems/practices (ADS) work. They have known about this for years, which is the reason they continue to demonize them in order to discourage us from returning back to them. Claiming that we were ancient Jews, Muslims, Berbers, Moors, Aliens, people from Atlantis, whatever, are all distractions to discourage us from rediscovering that we are God.   I have yet to see any of these holy books that were written tell me I am God because we as a race of people are older than all of these holy books that these people keep citing.

There is only one holy book that I know of, which they do not want us to read, that tells us “You are a God,” and it is the Pert em Hru (the so-called Egyptian Book of the Dead).  This is the only holy book I am interested in so that I can remind my wife, “Babe, You are a God” and we can instill in our child, “Honey, you are a God.” So, that when we get into a bind, we can invoke our divine powers within and create change.

This is the purpose of spirituality. It is not get out of one religion and join another dogmatic religion. It is to remind yourself who you are, so when these people claim that we are this and that. Know that they are repeating the same rhetoric that was told them because they do not know who they are and are afraid to embrace their divinity.

I Hate the “This is What They Did in Africa” Mantra (Living Maa)

12 04 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Let’s get right to it. I am so tired of hearing people tell me that “This is what they did in Africa” to justify their crazy beliefs, ideas, thoughts and practices. I mean, I get it and I understand why people say it because in the western world where we are taught to believe only in what we can physically measure (touch, taste, smell, hear and see). It is more convenient to say “This is what they did in Africa” then it is to say, “I am trusting my Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris, the Lord or Higher Self).”

But, here is the thing….Africa is not a country. Africa is a continent with 54 countries.  The people within the continent of Africa don’t speak African. There are over 2,000 languages spoken in the continent of Africa. Nigeria alone has 200 languages that are spoken within its country.  Africa is not one gigantic forest with millions of people living in huts. They have forests, savannas and thriving metropolis and industries because Africa is composed of numerous cultures.

What am I saying?

I am saying that Africa does not have a homogeneous society or culture.

When you say, “This is what they did in Africa” what part of Africa are talking about? Are you talking about the East, West, North or South of Africa? Which ethnic group are you speaking of that they did this? When they “did this in Africa” when did they do it and why did they do it? What was the purpose? Did “They do it” a million years ago, a thousand years ago, a hundred years ago or are they doing it now?

You get where I am going with this? Stop using “Africa” like the bible and the Koran to justify your silliness. When will people understand that what they did in Africa does not mean it is going to work over here. Just like what we do over here is not going to necessarily work over there.

Now, let me be honest, and tell you that I used to say this same stupid mantra too because I came across Family who would use it to justify everything they believed from diet to religious practices. All of that changed when I met and asked my godfather who was a Lukumi (Santeria) priest and member of the Abakua Society, why the Yoruba religion was not practiced in Cuba exactly the same way it is practiced in Nigeria in Cuba. For instance, why did they syncretize the orishas with the saints. My godfather told me in the simplest terms, “Because we ain’t in Africa!”

What works in Africa works in Africa but that doesn’t mean it is going to work here. This is what I keep trying to get Family to understand about Kemet. The Kemetic people never had to deal with systemic racism, capitalism, socialism, etc.  The Kemetic people lived in an agrarian kingdom with a relatively loving ruling class who cared about all of her citizens within her border. Prior to the advent of the slave trade and imperialism, the Akans, Fons, Yoruba, Ibo, Bantu-Kongo and various other ethnic groups did not live in a society that discriminated against people because of the color of their skin. If you offended the Ancestors, the Deified Ancestors and disrupted the order of the community, then that’s when the elders took you to the side and reeducated you and everyone to correct the error in our living. It was a spiritual culture and this is what it means to live in a spiritual, holistic culture, but we do not live there anymore. This is the reason when the Africans were brought to the Americas, their religions, spiritual practices and spiritual traditions could not survive unless they became more aggressive and defensive.   In other words, the spiritual practices and traditions had to adapt to the new circumstances in order to be useful.

This “It was done in Africa” mantra is a Setian (Egotistical) approach to fixing problems.  If you will recall, our Set (lower self/ego) relies on past experiences and only believes in the physical reality.   In other words, it only sees one side of the picture. It does not see the whole, so it discourages us from aligning with our Higher Self or Osar.  One of the ways it does this is by telling us “This is what was done in Africa (or China, India, etc.)” to get us to focus on the past or past experience because Set is stubborn and does not want to change but we have to realize that Maa is about living truth based upon perspective.

Let me give you another example. If you have ever eaten the Ghanian dish fufu (coco yam) or the Nigeria cuisine gari (cassava/yucca) you know that these are two of the main starches that are consumed throughout the West and Central Africa. I love eating fufu and gari but I cannot eat these dishes all of the time as it is done in parts of Africa for several reasons.  For one, I live in the United States and I am not as active as many who eat these foods as a staple of their diet.  Second, they are high in carbohydrates, which means if I am not very active these foods may cause my body to store additional sugar/fat.  Now, notice that I did not say that these foods were bad.  In fact, they are more nutritious than the regular potato but it is because of my lifestyle and the environment that I live in, which makes consuming these foods all of the time a problem for me.  Again, does this mean that I should not eat coco yam or cassava even though they were consumed in Africa? No, it simply means that if I am going to eat them I need to make adjustments to my lifestyle or limit my consumption of them. This is what it means to live according to Maa by taking everything in perspective.

It is not Maa to live your life based upon an outdated practices and traditions. Presently as I write this, I know guy right now who is from Ghana having the hardest time trying to succeed socially because he is still doing things as if he was in Accra. This guy has upset a lot of people he has come in contact with because he tells them he is proud that the “British colonized the world.” He literally believes that the British saved humanity through their savage ways, so when he said it aloud and was verbally accosted he did not understand why. Clearly, this guy does not see the whole picture and only believes what the imperialists have told him in the history books. Now, another reason for mentioning this guy is to show that everyone from Africa is not “conscious.” Just like everyone who wears their hair natural, in braids, in dreads, etc. is not “conscious” either. We need to stop repeating this mantra because all it does is make us focus on what was written in a book or some other superficiality.

If we stopped saying, “This is what they did in Africa” and just say, “Hey, I did it.” It is more convincing and let’s people see the Maa.  The Maa is not about trying to see how many people will follow you.  It is opening peoples’ eye so that we can change the “rotation of the planet.” Stop giving in and encouraging people to follow their Set. Remember, Set wants us to do anything and everything but listen and follow our Osar (Higher Self). Set will say anything and everything to keep us from hearing our Osar by telling us what we are doing is wrong, not supported by others, not favored by the majority, not the popular thing, etc.

Maa-The Path of the Feather

Maa-The Path of the Feather

Living your life according to Maa means trusting the God within you and testing the suggestions that are given to you.  Yes, you have to test it because remember the old scripture “every spirit is not a spirit of God (spirit of the Higher Self).” So, you have to test it and try it out to make sure it is the truth that is best for you and that it is coming from your Higher Self and not your lower self and some other low influences (negative ancestral spirits or aapepu).  And, by the way, testing and trying it out does not just mean seeing if the information is in a book.  You have to try it, test it out, see if it works for you and if it works for others.  This is the only way to know that a suggestion, comment, etc. is coming from the Higher Self.

This goes for people too. Most of you know that I come from a very religious family background. I had people tell me all of the time, “God said fill in the blank.” and when I was younger I would follow these so-called prophecies and wind up broke and hurt.  So, guess what? My Osar and Aakhu (Ancestors and Spirit Guides) know that they cannot approach me like this. They also know that I am going to put to the test whatever they tell me. So, when I get messages now, it is verified. If I am doing a ritual to Npu (Anpu, Sebek, Anubis or the Divine Messenger/Trickster of the Higher Self) and receive a message telling me I need to do something. It is verified through some type of omen. Npu may send three dogs across my path or I bump into a person wearing red and black, which are his colors.  I may be at the store and some stranger comes to me out of the blue and tells me something, thus verifying what the message and pointing me in the direction I need to go.  In other words, “God does not give a vision without giving provisions.”

So if a person claims to have your best interest at heart and state that their information is truth. You can test it to see if it is Maa and that individual should not have a problem with you doing so because, if they are truly sagely and of God.  They should understand that in these days and time we cannot take nothing for face value.  If this individual gets upset and offended, then they most likely are feeding your info to boost their Set (Ego).

Understand the more you listen to your Osar, the happier and better off you will be because you are free.

What “They” Will Not Tell You About Being Conscious

9 04 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

There is a lot of confusion about what Kemetic spirituality is because there are a lot of people claiming to be conscious and “woke.”  But, they do not have an idea what the concept means.  A lot of these people are “playing spiritual” and are simply riding the “conscious” bandwagon because it is the “in” thing.  So, let me explain what it really means to be spiritual for the truth seeker.

We are told in this western society that the only reality that exist and is worth mentioning is the physical realm.  As a result, we are educated, taught, trained, etc. to assess, evaluate and measure everything that we encounter based upon our five physical senses. Everything and everyone we meet, we are told to judge them based upon what we see and hear. This approach to life is what is known as Cartesian logic and it is because of this approach, most of us are prone to believe only what we can see and touch.

The problem with this approach is that this western way of thinking it is limited because our universe is not just composed of a physical reality.  Every other non-western culture knows and understands this.  If you pick up a book on feng shui, the first thing the Chinese authors talk about is how the western viewpoint is warped.  If you pick up a book on Hinduism they will say the same thing because there is a spiritual reality that exists as well, which is hidden to our awareness.  The thing we have to understand is that everything that we physically see did not just come into existence.  It manifested itself out of the invisible spiritual reality.  Therefore, we truly “conscious” people believe that the invisible spiritual reality is stronger than the physical reality and this is why we believe we can change our physical environment.  If you do not understand this or know this, you are not being spiritual.

The whole idea of being spiritual is that we know that everything that physically exists is temporary and an illusion. This is why my ancestors told me that the physical realm is TASETT – the Red Lands which is a symbol of a desert because deserts have all sorts of mirages of oasis.  This means regardless of where you were born, what you have done, who your parents are, what side of the town you come from, etc. none of this defines who you are.  ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE.

Let me give you an example of what I mean. Some of you have heard my testimony but I have to tell you so that you understand the gravity of the situation. Several years ago, my body was diagnosed with lupus. I remember when the specialist told me that it was lupus, the only thing I could think of was how my fellow Detroiter, J-Dilla, passed away from lupus complications. When I did some research on the ill-ness, I noticed that some people after being diagnosed had all sorts of complications, while others drove this ill-ness into complete remission. This made me think about my Mom and how she overcame cancer. When I asked my Mom how she beat the cancer, she told me that she basically had a talk with God and said that she had too much going on to leave. She said, “I told God, I need you to take this away” and shortly after it was gone.

What my mother did was tap into the spiritual realm and changed her physical reality, which is the same exact thing I did to improve my physical health. I did not rely upon what the doctors told me. I fixed in my mind what I wanted and made it a physical reality. Before this incident, I used to talk being spiritual but after I underwent my experience, I understood and became spiritual. You see, I had to learn the hard way that being consciousness is not about how many books you have read or how many books you got in your library.  But, when the sh*t hits the fan, none of this really matters. I know that our Ancestors are real because I talked to mine and this is how I know it is all about your MIND, which is the Creator’s greatest invention.

The funny thing is that I always have people ask if it was hard? My answer to them is yes, but they are surprised when I tell them that the hardest part was battling my lower self. You see, there were all sorts of negative and depressing ideas and thoughts that were trying to discourage my healing. I cannot even begin to tell you about all of the doubting thoughts that came to my mind and worse yet, the doubting and negative thoughts and energies that came from other people. Some of these negative energies were intentional but most were unintentional negative vibes that did not want me to recover. It was a serious battle but I managed to look pass the illusions and this is how I began to perceive the spiritual reality.  As I mentally fought these negative thoughts and energies, that is when I discovered that there is a spiritual realm for myself. Then, through my ancestors I discovered the Maa Aankh and learned that the physical realm corresponds to the subconscious part of our being, hence TASETT.

Maa Aankh

The purpose of our lower self or subconscious is to help us to physically survive by recording our personal experience in our memories. It is because of our lower self or subconscious, we do not put our hands into a fire because it reminds us that if we do we will burn ourselves. But, when the subconscious gets stuck with an idea or thought and refuses to change, that is when things become disastrous. For instance, imagine being afraid of fire after touching it.  As you could imagine, you would never cook your food, warm your house, warm yourself, etc. because of your fear that fire burns.

This perspective is totally dangerous because just like the physical realm, our subconscious is lopsided and does not see the complete view of the whole.  Our subconscious only can give us limited ideas from our personal experiences.  In other words, if you have never personally experienced something then you cannot comment on it.  We got a lot of people claiming they are spiritual gurus but all they have done is read a bunch of books.  A lot of these people do not even know what cosmologics is because if they did, they would not be worried about what the president does and giving into all of their fears. If you claim that the Supreme Being is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent then, you should know that we’re going to be Alright! All we have to do is seek a solution to our problems from within.  In other words, if an individual is truly about being spiritual, it will reflect in their life.  For the record, I have had my share of following fakes, which is why I am trying to get us to stop giving our power away and expecting people to save us.  Instead focus on saving our self!

This is the reason our Nilotic ancestors called it Set, which was later modified to Set-an and finally Satan.  Today, most of the world population is controlled by Set who gives us a lopsided view about family, relationships, money, health, education, government, religion, etc.  This is the reason there are so many contradictions that can be found in our health system. It is this same lopsided view, which is the reason all of these medications have adverse reactions and side effects. Relationship problems, such as high divorce rates and the attack on the nuclear family, are all due to this lopsided view given to us by Set, who is none other than our Ego.

Set of TASETT (from Maa Aankh 2)

Does it make sense why all of the violence we see occurring across the country in the school, public spaces, on the Internet, etc. are the ego amped up on 10. I mean have you ever seen so many people just go plum crazy and going berserk over the stupidest things? Have you ever seen so many people full of anger, rage, envy, etc.? It is all because we are all focused on one perspective or seeing the world from this lopsided view. We see only one side of the picture, which is the reason this realm is called TASETT – the Red Lands.  In the Story of Osar (Asar, Ausar or Osiris), this is metaphorized as Hru (Heru, Horus) battling Set and the conflict consistently ending in a stalemate because Hru’s eye was damaged.

So, we’re all living in the last days because we are controlled by our Ego, lower self or Set.  We will never find true peace, true prosperity, true happiness, etc. because no one in this lifetime has ever experienced it and since no one has any personal memories on how to get it. It is a pipe dream.  This is the reason most religious people thrive on devastation and will tell you that we are doomed.  But understand, this is only because these people are affected by Set too and can only see one of the whole picture as well.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

The truth is that we are not in the last days  and here’s where being conscious and spiritual comes into play. We all have a Higher Self and this part of our being is connected to the spiritual realm. Remember, the spiritual is more powerful than the physical, well within our being our Higher Self is more powerful than our lower self. In other words, our Higher Self, which the Kemetic ancestors called Osar trumps Set, but Osar cannot do it alone.

You must consciously and willingly call upon your Higher Self or Osar and when you do your Osar will intervene. This can be accomplished through divination, meditation and rituals. When you perform divination, meditation and rituals, you get to see the other side of reality. You see that things do not just happen. Accidents don’t just occur. Life is not full coincidences. These are all silly things that people say because they have a lopsided view influenced by Set.  If you saw the whole picture, the whole scheme of things, you will know that our world is governed by Cause and Effects. Whenever we see something “suddenly” happen, we are only seeing the Effect and not the Cause.

Divination, meditation and rituals can help you navigate through life. There is no need for Black Lives Matter or to protest when you see the whole picture because when you  inject your Osar into the situation, you can hit the enemy where it hurts. But, as long as we continue to use this lopsided view to solve a lopsided problem, we will continue to get these same half-ass results, like Hru did when he fought Set.

How to Regularly Work With Your Ancestors & Spirit Guides (Aakhu)?

5 04 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know what?  When you embark upon a spiritual path sometimes you need a reminder of why you perform certain practices because we are living in peril times that encourage us to give into our ego, our lower self, or Set. Ancestor veneration reminds us that we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and that whenever we cannot find a solution to our problem from the available physical resources.  We need to go within.

So, I was talking to one of my former math students who is from Vietnam about some of the food traditions they have in their country. They were telling me how they immigrated to the United States with their parents when they were three years old and, how they made it a custom to visit their home country every two years. As we talked, they told me how their food was so different from the American diet because they prepare fresh vegetables every day to eat alongside their meats, rice and/or noodles. As they were telling me this, it seemed to have slipped but they mentioned how they offer fruit and incense to their ancestors.

Not skipping a beat to make them feel comfortable talking to me about this spiritual practice, I remarked, “Yes, I offer a candle, incense and food to my ancestors as well.”

Feeling somewhat at ease, they continued talking and began asking them more questions about how they honor their ancestors like how many days during the week do they perform this rite and what types of food are offered.  They told me that usually they simply offer a mango, which is different from the oranges that are offered by many Chinese practitioners.

Then, I asked “Do you burn money for your ancestors?” To which they replied they do but usually on special occasions.

For the most part, all they could tell me was that everything that they are doing usually tradition.  We talked for a little bit more and then parted ways because we both had separate engagements, but it got me thinking…

I don’t recall seeing a lot of Asian people living in poverty. Now, I am not saying that there are not any financially poor Asians living in the United States. I am just saying that I have not seen many and maybe it is because they regularly honor their ancestors.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

The reason my former student and I could have such a pleasant conversation about the ancestors was because as far as I could tell. The Asian understanding of the afterlife is similar to the thoughts of the Maa Aankh, which is that the dead (in KAMTA) and the living (TASETT) are dependent upon one another. The relationship between the living and dead is symbolized in the Story of Osar as Hru need for Osar in order to defeat Set.  Coincidentally, this is the basis of Kemetic Spirituality

From what I could assess from my student is that by specifically calling their ancestor by name and stating that they are giving them an offering of food, drink, money, gifts, etc., so that they can use in their realm. The hope (belief) was that the ancestor would give them the things they need in order to live in the physical world.

Remember, there is no right or wrong way to make an offering to your aakhu (ancestors) but when you make an offering to your aakhu. You are in essence giving them energy, which is basically taking something from the physical world and giving it to the spiritual world. For instance, if you wanted to offer a $5 bill, then once you put that money on the altar, it can no longer be used to buy physical things because that money belongs to the dead.  The same effect can be achieved by burning Spirit Money or Heaven Notes.

Understand, this is not say that by honoring one’s ancestors you will not experience financial hardships.  Also, do not err in thinking that all you have to do is honor your aakhu and blessings will fall out of the sky.  This is a spiritual practice that will help you to remember that everything that physically exists comes from an invisible spiritual source.  By giving your anxieties, worries and fears to your ancestors, you will find most of your problems will easily resolve themselves when this ritual is done regularly.

What Does It Really Mean to be a God on Earth?

21 03 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, the other day I was watching the 1984 comedy Ghostbusters on Netflix, about three parapsychology professors who created a business removing ghosts.  In the climax of the movie, the Ghostbusters are trying to defeat the main antagonist Zuul, who is said to be a demigod of destruction and chaos. Before Zuul shoots lightning out at the Ghostbusters, Zuul asks “Are you a god?”  to which one of the Ghostbusters (Ray) responds “No.” Immediately afterwards, Zuul sends bolts of lightning to the Ghostbusters nearly pushing them off the ledge of the skyscraper.  Thus, prompting Winston to say, “Ray, when someone asks you if you’re a god. You say Yes!”

Aside from the fact that it was Winston (of all people) who tells Ray to tell a demigod that he is something that he is not, this made me wonder why didn’t Ray answer that he was a god. Then, it came to me that it was because in Christianity (and Islam) we are taught that whenever we are in a bind. To call out to God for help because we are God’s humble and pitiful creatures that need saving.

Where did this idea that human beings are lowly creatures that need saving come from? Well, remember the biblical story about the Children of Israel and how they fled Egypt. If you grew up in the west, you have read and heard this story numerous times.  We are captivated by the Exodus story because the Children of Israel are depicted as the underdog against the mighty Egyptian army. We are told according to biblical accounts that the Children of Israel cried out to God to save them and the Lord parted the Red Sea, thus allowing the Children of Israel to pass and drowning the Egyptian army.

Now, never mind the fact that the Exodus story is a complete fabrication because there is no historical proof that the Kemetic people had slaves, no archaeological evidence that slave labor existed or was used to build edifices, and there was no massive exodus. In fact, as I mentioned in Why God Does Not Answer Your Prayers, the word pharaoh is not a title given to the Egyptian rulers, but was the name of one of foreign dictators when the Hyskos ruled Kemet. In other words, he was not even Kemetic but Semitic meaning this was a Semitic king who was being harsh to other Semitic people.

But, the real surprise is that according to Jewish writers this is not a true account of how the Exodus story occurred. According to Jewish scholars (particularly Kabbalist) when the Children of Israel stood before the Red Sea with the encroaching army on their heels, they cried out to God to save them, and God replied, “Why are you calling me?”

In other words, God was telling the Children of Israel, “You are made in my image, so use your divine powers to get out of the mess you are in.” And, through the Children of Israel’s power, they parted the Red Sea, not God.

Again, the story is completely fictional and it was created to teach very valuable lessons to young Jewish children who were feeling pitied. But, imagine if you were taught like Jewish children, that God does not save you but God has empowered you to save yourself? Imagine if you were taught that you can do whatever is humanly possible because you were made in the image of God? Imagine if you were taught that by working together with your own people you can create miracles; how different your life would be?  Could you imagine the impact this truth would have upon your life?

Yes, it would have been astronomical and this is why we need to understand that spirituality is psychological.  The main reason many of us are not able to accomplish our goals in life is because we have been taught to believe that our savior exists outside of us.  In other words, we have been taught to be totally dependent upon others outside of us even if they do not share our best interests because we are not worthy.

Therefore, correct this flaw by ridding yourself of this destructive belief about your divinity. Instead of asking for God (and others) to pity you, remind yourself that you are an exceptional human being made in the image of the Divine. In other words, remind yourself that you are Child of Osar, a Hru (hero, Hrw, Heru, Horus). The only one who can save you is you by aligning yourself with your Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris, or Higher Self within).

When you align yourself with your Osar, all types of new ideas, thoughts, miracles, etc. occur because remember, your Osar (Higher Self is your Superconscious). If you will recall, this is the part of our being that is responsible for making magick and miracles occur according to all the great inventors, scientists, mathematicians, etc., which our Kemetic ancestors created an elaborate culture based upon.

Since most of us are creatures of habit, meaning we are strongly influenced by the subconscious (lower self) part of our being, it is best to surround our self with images that remind us of our divinity. This will help us because the problem that most of us have about our divinity is not that do not know we are made in the image of God.  It is that when we get in a pinch, we forget we were created to be gods and goddesses.  When we have obstacles and problems that force us to tap into our divine power, this is the setting sun moment illustrated on the Maa Aankh as the Ra Atum moment and on the Kongo dikenga (or Kongo Cross) as Luvemba.  It indicates that we are at a pivotal moment in our life where the dying of the old and rebirth of the new occurs.

In other words, the only way to be reborn is to face your fears but if you keep crying for someone (or some thing) to save you as Christian storytellers have suggested. We will never be truly saved or delivered.  The only way we can be saved is by always keeping in mind that we are made in the image of the Divine, which means God will always have your back.

What it means to be a god or goddess on earth is someone who has no fear and invokes the power of God within to change situations at will.  They are proactive, not reactive and en route to becoming immortal.

Therefore, instead of crying out to God (and others) to save us, it is best to repeat “There is no one coming to save you Hru because God sent you.”

HRU (Heru, Horus)

Hetep
