Our Spirituality is Our Technology

Now that The Black Panther is on Netflix, I have had a chance to watch it multiple times similar to watching Coming to America. Like most stories that are read (or movies that are watched) numerous times I got new insights about it. I am not going to go into all of them now because that is not the purpose of this post, but four of them that come to mind are: 1) that most people forget that the original Black Panther story was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, not Ryan Coogler who directed the film (watch the Black Panther cartoon).  This confirms our suspicion that our enemies study us and degrade our movement for entertainment purpose.  This is why Xavier of the X-Men and Magneto were modeled after Martin L. King Jr. and Malcolm X (el Hajj Malik el-Shabazz) and other parallels can be found in other stories. 2) Lee and Kirby understood the strained relationship that existed between Africans born on the continent and the Africans scattered throughout the Diaspora (e.g. Nationalism versus Pan-Africanism, traditionalists versus reformists, etc.) that continues to exist today. 3) Lee and Kirby understood that the reason the vast disparity exists throughout the world and what would level the playing field is technology, and finally, which is the focus of this post. 4) What outsiders call magic or voodoo is what we call technology.

“It’s not magic. It’s technology”

Do you know in countries where spirituality is highly respected and encouraged, “magic(k)” is a part of daily life? Imagine going to Cuba and being greeted by the orisha Ellegua or visiting Vietnam and being greeted by Thánh Gióng. The thing is that other cultures speak with their ancestors and spirits, and the only ones who criticize them for doing so are those in western religions, which is why most who know this ignore and fight westernization.

In fact, quiet as kept, part of the reason the Japanese became an industrial super power after World War II was, because they embraced their Kami (the spirits in the Shinto religion) and made them the center of their culture. In other words, the Japanese relinquished western spirituality and embraced their own.

Let’s put it in perspective and make it plain. This is our (spiritual) technology. It is communal, holistic and it is based upon respect for all life on the earth.

This Christianity, Islam and Judaism (below a Christian and Muslim fighting) is not our technology and this is the reason all it has done is created nothing but strife. This is because Christianity, Islam and Judaism is simply a culmination of religious beliefs that have historically been used (primarily by men) to persecute and suppress all people of color, dominate women all over the world and rob indigenous nations of their natural resources to feed a wicked few’s egotistical appetite.  It should be noted that these three western religions have been warring against each since their conception, yet these religions are about peace.  Another interesting fact about these religions is that they profess that their god is so powerful yet they always have to defend him because they are full of fundamentalism.

It should now become clear that the reason our traditions are demonized when other cultures have similar practices is because “they” want us to remain powerless.

Understand. Our technology is our spirituality which, focuses on using our Higher Self or BA. This is what traditional African spirituality is all about and part of it includes making use of the pun of language. This is the reason we can understand the Kemetic lore and language so quickly, and use it for spiritual empowerment after committing it to memory without ever traveling to Egypt.

Everyone knows that our (spiritual) technology is our greatest source of power except for us.  This is the reason the powers that be continue to demonize it and discourage us from embracing it.

Documentary Bling featuring Tego Calderon, Paul Wall and Raekwon

I remember once I realized and understood this, I would listen to certain artists and their music with a different understanding. For instance, while living in Florida I learned a little bit of Spanish and one of my favorite Spanish speaking artists is the Puerto Rican rapper/reggaeton artists Tego Calderon. For the record I heard of Tego years before he started doing reggaeton and acting in the Fast & Furious franchise because he was featured on Cypress Hill’s Latin Thugs. Then, I saw him in a documentary called Bling with Wu-Tang’s Raekwon and Paul Wall talking about blood diamonds, where after witnessing a group of Africans praying to Jesus to deliver them from the blood diamond conflict. He says (paraphrase)  “I am glad that my God looks like Me.” That was the most powerful statement I had ever heard any rapper say.  That’s when I started listening to his music and I heard a song that he featured on one of his albums, which included the spiritualist song Buena Noches (Good Night).  The term Buena Noches is metaphorical language for speaking to the spirits who dwell in the dark (unseen/invisible) realm (KAMTA) and asking for their blessings.  Again. This is using our technology instead of someone else’s for our empowerment.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

The last time a rapper used this type of language for our spiritual empowerment was X-Clan’s Professor X the Overseer, who weaved Kemetic philosophy and Yoruba lore all throughout his lyrics.

It should be understood that Jewish people have accepted that because of their culture, they are and forever will be considered a minority in the world.  However, because of the Kabbalah, which they teach to each other is their (spiritual) technology, that stress the importance of releasing their latent and infinite potential by breaking their ego. They are able to level to playing field and have no need to be intimidated, which is the reason they refuse to conform and continue to practice their traditions.

We should adopt this same attitude. We must adopt this attitude in order to create a better life for our loved ones. It is the only way we can change this reality we are in.

Aretha’s Funeral Decoded

1 09 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know it has come to my attention that a lot of people have not discussed with their loved ones why they don’t go to church because: 1) they are either afraid to do so, or.  2) They don’t know how to explain it.  This dawned on me as I was flipping back and forth watching the service for Aretha Franklin and then heard the Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. of Salem Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Before beginning, let me first acknowledge the obvious rituals that were performed for public viewing.  The Ariana Grande that people keep talking about was just there for eye-candy. She was basically there to make sure that her generation (following) tuned in to hear Williams’ sermon. The whole she is wearing a mini-skirt is a ploy. These entertainers have professionals around them everyday who inform them on what is appropriate/inappropriate.  She purposely wore the dress to disrespect the black church in order to get people to think about religious tradition.

Now, the public viewing was for five days and it was broadcasted in some areas for three days. Three as most of you know is the sacred number of the messenger and psychopomp spirits Npu (Anubis), Ellegua, Mercury and Hermes. Five is the sacred number of the spirit that governs many singers Nebhet, Oshun, Venus and Aphrodite.  According to numerology 5+3=8, which relates to fate.

From an occult perspective, the reason there was a star-studded funeral service is because the powers that be were trying to tap into the remaining essence of Ms. Franklin’s spirit (imo). As I watched bits and pieces of the funeral service conducted at my old church, I was reminded (for those who do not know about Aretha Franklin) that she is the last of great divas.  Aretha, unlike the other divas of her time (e.g. Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, etc.) was a preacher kid of a great Baptist preacher. She started singing in the church when she a little and her following began at an early age because of what people call in the church “the anointing.”

What is the anointing? The “anointing” is a real basic term that is used mostly in Protestant Christendom to explain an extraordinary talent. In the black church/community the term is used to signify that an individual is working with a higher spirit (commonly attributed to Jesus) to heal the sick, to preach, to minster to downtrodden, and it is extended to include intelligence as well as musical talents, which mainstream America calls prodigies or genuises.

Unfortunately, because most black churches do not delve into traditional African thought, esoteric studies and metaphysics (out of conditional religious fear and social stigma), they simply call these gifts anointing. Everyone according to African American thought has an anointing, which is also sometimes synonymous with one’s Calling. Most people have to find their anointing/calling but some of us return to this earthly plane with it.  This is because the anointing is the essence of a god, goddess or ancestral spirit. Aretha’s anointing comes from a soul of a Fon devotee of Gbadu, who is the goddess of fate, hence the number 8. In Greek mythology she is the goddess of Tyche and in Roman mythology she is the goddess Fortuna, who was commonly portrayed in a domestic context, which linked her to Oset (Aset, Isis). Now if you review some of Aretha’s iconic songs such as Bridge Over Troubled Waters, A Change is Going to Come, Ain’t No Way, Daydreaming, and Natural Woman, while keeping in mind that a spirit of fate and fortune was anointing her to see women-in particular black women-in another light other than domestic servants.

Aretha was anointed and you can hear it in her voice. All her songs moved peoples’ soul. Unlike the great soul singer Sam Cooke, Aretha got (official) permission to cross over from singing spiritual music to secular music because her music reflected our experience in and outside of church – particularly women’s perspective.  Just think about her songs “Do right woman, do right man” and the classic “Respect,” which raised the consciousness of both men and women.   The thing is, there are a number of songs that she has made and collaborated on which talk about our experience.

But, Aretha’s anointing left her sometime around the time when she did the song “Think” for the Blues Brother’s film.  If you compare her early music to the 80’s song “Freeway of Love” you will see that the latter is commercial crap. It only really became a hit because it was a crossover song to pop culture and like most crossover songs, it has nothing to do with empowerment but focuses on the superficialities of love.  So, the anointing (the spirit of Gbadu) left Aretha a long time ago and what we were really left with was a shadow or copy of the original.

Everyone in Detroit knows that like most people whose anointing leaves, Aretha started doing some weird and outlandish things that only accentuated her ego.  She didn’t go all out but her separate occasions I witnessed her showboating.  In one instance, I remember the MC of an event announced that Aretha was not going to sing because she was under the weather.  So an amateur singer sung in her place and performed so well, that Aretha mysteriously was healed and chose to sing just to put the amateur singer in her place. Lets not forget that before Aretha passed she sang the national anthem for 4 minutes and 35 seconds.  Yeah. One word.

Ego.

The Ego is usually the first sign that you know the anointing has left. It is similar to when Michael Jackson started acting out and doing outlandish things. As many have noticed who study mythology, Jackson’s anointing was owned by the god Pan more specifically the avatar of Pan commonly known as Peter Pan, the childish spirit of the wild that dies once he leaves Neverland. In fact, there are many stars who have their anointing leave. Some manage to keep their anointing a little longer than others, but most eventually crack under the social pressure, which is what we call selling out.

Anyway, because most of our people don’t understand our power, the so-called “powers” that be used the Rev. Jasper Williams Jr., as a last attempt to encourage people to return to church based upon her legacy.  It was also an attempt to encourage people to return to the mosque, which is why they continued to show Min. Farrakhan even though they did not allow him speak. I am not saying Farrakhan was a willing participant of the theatrics. I am just noting that they used his image for their purpose. Question: When was the last time you ever saw Min. Farrakhan and Bill Clinton at the same function? Answer: Never.  This is a sign it is Theatrics.

Once, I saw this, it all made sense why Williams’ eulogy sounded more like a scolding for not attending church instead of being focused on Aretha’s accomplishments.  Williams’ eulogy was also a litmus test to see how many people are out of the church and feeling Williams’ message.  What they discovered was that the eulogy fell on deaf ears because they are dealing with another generation. So understand, that the powers-that-be were using the legacy of Aretha Franklin as another means of social control. I guarantee you that the same sermon will not be said when any of the other divas make transition.

Now, why don’t we go to church (kingdom hall, temple or mosque)?

It is because all of these religions place emphasis on empowering an entity that exists outside of our self. Most people cannot put a finger on it because they do not understand the nature of the mind.  But we have spent a lot of time worshipping a deity (called Jesus, God, Jehovah, Allah, etc.), meanwhile our lives and our community have continued to drastically decay.  Most people today attend religious service out of habit and social conditioning because it is programmed in their mind that it is the thing to do, or they will be punished (go to hell, cursed, etc.). Only a few people (that’s us) get it and realize that most people are following a religious superstition.

We are the generation that understands that if I want to improve my finances. I have to learn money management because Jesus ain’t going to do it for me. If I want to improve my relationships, I may have to learn how to talk to my woman/man like I want to be talked to, because Jesus ain’t going to do it for me.

In other words, we are the generation that is beginning to realize and break the religious/social conditioning, of believing that some outside force is going to magically make our lives better. If we want something different, we have to empower ourselves and this is the reason we do not attend church.

We know that a 15-minute meditation session where we focus on aligning our conscious with our higher self, is more powerful and effective than a five or six hour Sunday service that focuses solely on entertaining our Ego with singing, dancing and a pep rally sermon.

Remember, that in Kemetic thinking the Ego is personified as Set, the Lord of Chaos, Confusion and Calamity. Any thing that accentuates our Ego is only going to cause problems.

If you noticed anything else funny/weird about this funeral, please share.

Beware of Kemetic Bulls***!

26 08 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know what Family? Ever since the showing of The Hidden Color (HC) docufilm series there has been a slight elevation of consciousness but a massive elevation of BS.  Understand. When I say a slight elevation of consciousness it is because those of us who have been conscious for some time, to the point that we never even called ourselves “conscious,” that after watching HC.  We all said the same thing, “That’s good. That’s not totally correct but okay, it is a starting point.” Everyone I know said the same thing because there is a lot of good information presented in these series, but it is just that. Information. And, the interesting thing is that it barely scratches the surface of how deep our ancestors are.  Think about it. If our ancestors walking alongside the Nile almost 3000+ years ago, do you really think you could sum it up in one or two videos? If you think so, you really do not know how deep we really are. I will explain here shortly.

But for those who are new to this; those who think it is cool to have a Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) name or some other suffix behind it; those who think it is cool to rock a natural hairstyle wear a dashiki, have an Egyptian tattoo and some Egyptian jewelry, etc. took this in another direction.  These clowns watched the film, memorized everything that was said, created a blog or Youtube site, and professed to be conscious or “woke.” Now, they sit around creating outlandish titles (and they get paid for this) to get hits and likes because they wear an Egyptian name and people think they are talking about Kemetic spirituality but they have nothing to do with Kemetic spirituality.

Family, there are two types of Kemetic Bulls***ers.  The first group and the largest group are these “conscious” people who have never read a book about Kemetic spirituality.  The first sign that they are spurting Kemetic Bulls*** is that they are attacking others who do not share their views. If these individuals were truly into Kemetic spirituality they would know that we are all at different levels of spiritual growth and that there is not one spiritual path. Therefore, these individuals have simply taken their Christian (Baptist, COGIC, Apostolic, Jehovah Witness, etc.) and Muslim (Sunni, Shiite, etc.) ideologies and imposed it on consciousness.  In other words, they are the still christians or muslims arguing that Jesus (or Mohammed) said do this but now they are wearing some African garb, the RBG colors and rocking a natural wig.

The second Kemetic Bulls***ers are these so-called “conscious” people who have read book but they have not sat long enough to obtain any wisdom. These people think that reciting a bunch of historical facts and other details about Kemet is Kemetic spirituality.  The first sign that these people are Kemetic Bulls***ers is that they always have a bookcase full of books to make it appear that they are intelligent. All they are doing is boosting their ego and the ego remember is symbolized by Set (the Lord of Chaos and Confusion).  This is the reason there is so much controversy and dissension associated with these individuals.

Let me explain that these individuals are actually very “learned.” Meaning they have mimicked the information perfectly like Djahuit’s (Thoth) baboon.  Understand. Information is the pathway to wisdom but it is not wisdom. Wisdom comes from actually applying information over a period of time. The information has marinated in your spirit to the point that you know what works for you.

Proof that they are “learned” and have no wisdom is that they will give you the basic information about a Kemetic divinity. For instance, if you said Anubis, they will tell you “He is the god of death, the first god of the underworld, a jackal headed god, the god of embalming,” which is all information you get from wikipedia. People who have a working personal experience with Anubis such as myself may say, “Anubis or Npu. I just talked to this spirit and told him to help me find something. Afterwards we shared a cigar and some rum together.” Then, they will laugh because they understand that Anubis is an archetype that exists within them and the Universe. Understand the difference?

Npu – Watching and Weighing the Soul of the Dead

Family. There is no such thing as good or evil, which means there is a lesson you can learn from everything. One of the things I learned about the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was that the best way to deter a movement is by diluting it with propaganda.

Get it right. I am not pointing fingers and saying who is and who is not an agent of or Kemetic Bulls***ers. I am simply saying watch out for the Kemetic BS! That is anyone and anything promising to deliver something just because it has a Kemetic name or word attached to it.

I fell for this a couple of times. I am lying. I fell for this a few times. I remember I purchased some products (at different times) by well-known individuals within the “conscious” community because it had the word “Kemetic” on it, an ankh on it or some other icon tying it to Kemet.  I remember I was like Po from Kung Fu Panda, eagerly waiting to receive the secret Dragon Scroll. Because, I had psyched myself up to think that when this book, video, etc. arrived in the mail, it was going to totally change my life.

Kung Fu Panda copyright of Dreamworks

Once I received it, I was so disappointed because it was not what I had imagined it to be. None of these things delivered what they promised, but in a way all of these products did deliver something. I was just too caught up in the western “savior mode (thinking something outside of me can save me)” to see it because the answer was always within me.

Kung Fu Panda copyright of Dreamworks

Let me tell you something about Kemetic spirituality.

Venerating the Dead

Have you ever wondered why the Kemetic people never left any detailed texts on how to raise your family, how to live healthy, the best foods or best dietary lifestyle, the best business plan, etc.? Have you ever wondered why the Kemetic people for thousands of years kept writing the same after death theme in their books and writing the same hieroglyphic texts on the walls?  Think about it. Three thousand plus years of nothing but texts about death.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being. TASETT also represents the SAHU, KHAB, KHABIT & KA Divisions of the Spirit

It is because the Kemetic people understood that this physical world was not real and is based solely upon our subconscious or ego-self/Set.  Meaning, nothing in this physical realm will bring us true happiness, peace, prosperity, etc. It only satisfies the ego because it is short term and temporal. This is the reason money cannot give us prosperity, drugs give a temporary happiness, etc. The physical realm and everything within it is an allusion, it is TASETT – the Red Lands (desert) full of mirages (empty promises).  This is the reason the Kemetic people never invested a lot of time and energy into staying here. This is also the reason you cannot find ancient texts written by them on trying to preserve life here. Are these subjects important? To each its own, it is relative.  But the most important subject that our Nilotic ancestors did not want us to forget was that what we call the real world is an illusion.

Understand. The illusion, the maya is that this physical realm is concrete and final when in fact, it is simply a physical manifestation of our beliefs, ideas and thoughts. Yes. If you are having a miserable physical experience right now, check the beliefs, ideas and thoughts that you hold in your awareness.

That is Kemetic spirituality. Period.

The reason Kemetic writers wrote so many texts on death is because in the end, your afterlife is going to be a mere reflection of how you lived your life. Meaning the beliefs, ideas and thoughts you held in your awareness during life are going to be the ones that determine how your soul is going to exist in the next realm.

Judgement Scale

When you really understand this means every experience is propelling you to be a god or goddess. For instance, if you have anger issues, you are going to find yourself put in situations where you will easily lose your temper, until you learn how not to react to everything angrily and trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor without you become irate. This means rather you adopt a certain dietary lifestyle, dress a certain way, adorn your hair al naturelle or dyed and laid to side, has not a damn thing to do with your destiny. Are they important, sure if you want them to be but your salvation is depended on you learning how not to react to everything angrily and trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor without you become irate. Period.

Understand. If you have anger issues, then every time you find yourself in situations where you lose your temper becomes your daily judgment where you stand before Osar (Osiris), as shown above.

Again, is your diet important, your hairstyle, etc. are they important? Is it important that you learn how to make money? Again, it is all relative. For some people, you may have to adopt a certain diet to help you but it is not a requirement. For others, you may have to adorn yourself in a certain manner, but don’t get it twisted.  If you incarnated here to learn how to deal with your anger, your salvation is on you learning to deal with your anger. That is your destiny or purpose of being here.

Once you understand this, then everything is relative to your destiny or purpose of being here. You can start a business, plan a revolutionary movement, work to build up your community, etc. so long as you remember, to trust that the Divine within you will work in your favor and do not take it personal by becoming irate (if your destiny deals with overcoming anger).

OMG! This is when the real magic occurs. You are ready to blow a gasket but you remain calm trusting the Divine within you, while someone is acting a fool and trying to engage you in a fight.  Then, you are rewarded for being calm and the person slips and breaks the arm for offending you, hence the gods and goddesses (spirits) are fighting your battle. This is what Kemetic spirituality is about.

To understand your destiny, all you need to do is study the recurring problems you continue to have in your life. Know that Kemetic spirituality is not about following this person or trusting that something is going to save you. It is all about learning how to trust your Osar, hence resurrect the Osar within you who for most of your life has been a silent and whispering voice.

5 Steps to Get Through Any Spiritual Storm

19 08 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

In this post I am continuing to give a little insight to help those on the path because a lot of people do not talk about lows to spiritual development.  We always hear people talk about how Jesus got them through some ordeal but rarely do Kemetic people give a testimony of how they overcame an issue, which 1) gives a false impression that this path is a piece of cake, and. 2) Makes one feel who is going through an ordeal that they are weak if they are falter in any way because they are not being perfect.

So, I am here to let you know that spiritual development like any other discipline has its highs and lows. We are all here because we are trying to perfect ourselves and according to the Maa Aankh.  When we begin to experience gross losses, setbacks, lawsuits, relationship ills, problems, grave misfortunes, tragedies, unexplainable illnesses, financial woes, etc. It is an omen from the Universe that we have reached the Ra moment and that our Sun has begun to set, thus moving to the Ra Atum (Death) moment.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

Although Set is the lord of chaos, confusion, calamity, storms, etc. and the ruler of TASETT (the physical realm, hence the name TA Sett), it is this particular quarter (Ra to Ra Atum) of the Maa Aankh that we see Set in his rawest form.

Courtesy of R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz who gives a different version of this passage, stating “At about noon [Ra moment], the barque of Re-Horakhty reaches the summit of a mountain where a serpent 50 cubits (26 meters) in length is found whose foremost 3 cubits are of silex. This serpent swallows in one gulp part of the stream. Seth, at the front of the boat, ‘directs his lance of fire against him, and causes him to cough up all that he had swallowed.'(_Book of the Dead_, Chapter 108, quoted in _Symbol and the Symbolic_, page 81.

But do not be discouraged. You must remember that our Creator is Perfect so there is no such thing as good versus evil. There is only planned and unplanned, which means that our Creator created Set for specific purpose and that is to be our greatest adversary. Set witnessed our birth and he created the resistance in the birth canal that we fought against to physically survive.  He created all of the opposition that exists in our life and here is just another test to prove to ourselves that we are who we say we are, a GOD/GODDESS.

Remember, you are a god/goddess and you chose to incarnate to this physical plane we call TASETT (the Red Lands). This is TASETT and it is ruled by Set meaning it is not supposed to be fair, just, equitable or equal. It is supposed to be a bad experience so that we are inspired to return home (the realm of the gods/goddesses – Amenta, which is deep within KAMTA).

Understand. You chose to be here and you chose all of your experiences that are experiencing, both the good and the bad because you came here to master your divinity, which is your ultimate objective. You may not remember making these choices because you were born to a family and grew up with friends in a community supported by a society that discourages spiritual culture.  But both Osar (Asar, Osiris, Higher Self) and Set (lower self) remember the oath you made prior to being born and they are committed to helping you fulfill your destiny.

Your Osar is committed to being a silent voice until you decide for your Osar to take a more prominent lead in your life, and your Set is committed to creating as many obstacles in your life to force you to resurrect your Osar. In other words, Set (the spiritual storms) exist to make us stronger and to help you to make through his storm, here are five suggestions that will help you:

  1. Get a journal and journalize your experience. Write down everything that is occurring. The purpose of this exercise is to help you to clear your mind.
  2. Ask yourself why is this experience occurring in your life right now?  Typically whenever something unplanned or negative occurs, we tend to point the finger at what others have done. This question is meant to hep us take responsibility of our own actions, behaviors and ultimately our life.
  3. Stick to one spiritual practice that will bring you solace.  If meditating works for you, then meditate. If prayer works for you, then just pray.  If doing one particular ritual works for you, then do that one particular ritual. Remember, there is no right or wrong because it all occurs within our mind.  Sometimes, when I am going through a storm the last thing i want to do is do any altar work so I work with my spirits mentally.
  4. Do the opposite of what you feel. When you are in the storm a lot of times your feelings will betray you because you are prone to reacting from a subconscious (sahu) level. This is the moment you should do the opposite of what you normally do. For instance, if you are in the habit of going at it alone, it may to your advantage to get with a group and vice versa.
  5. Finally, focus your attention on helping others. I know that sounds odd, but our Osar is a universal cooperative force that usually comes to the forefront whenever we are in a peaceful mind state. If you are worried about how something is going to work out, how are you going to get some money, how anything, your Osar will stay in the deep recesses of your mind because you are trying to solve the problem based upon your understanding, and not relinquishing power to infinite your Higher Self or Osar. This mental switch of relinquishing control or submitting is hard for many of us and gets easier with practice, but the simplest way for newcomers to make this switch is by focusing on helping others. For instance, volunteer to help someone free of charge. Leave some money anonymously at an aisle in a grocery store for someone. Remember, you are not trying to boost your ego, you are trying to boost your Higher Self and these are all activities that strengthen your BA (Higher Self) and weaken the influence of your sahu (lower self/ego).

Now, to get a little more real, the reason your Set is here testing you in the first place and at this exact moment is because you have some spiritual impurities that need to be burned out of your system, and this is the tempering process to do it.   The cooling part comes afterwards, so stay strong because it  is during the Ra Atum and Amun Ra moment that your spiritual guides will come to your aide. For instance, you may have some complete strangers talk to you out of the blue and give you great insight and/or gifts like money. This is where you will experience the unlimited power of KAMTA. The only way for you to know this realm is by witnessing it and this is why you are going through the storm. So, don’t fear and don’t fret, the storm never last.

Prepare yourself knowing that you will be stronger and wiser in the end.

Much Respek for Luke Cage’s Anansi (Sahr Ngaujah)

12 08 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Ok. I just finished watching Luke Cage Season 2, and I am not going to spoil it for those who have not seen it, but I thought it was descent.  The best character and the most profound scene was by Sahr Ngaujah who plays the character Anansi. His performance and monologue was so profound that I found it interesting that no one in the “woke” community caught it.

But, before I go into it, this season 2 has several antagonists. First, there is Mariah “Black Mariah” Dillard (Cornell’s “Cottonmouth” Stoke’s cousin) and Hernan “Shades” Alvarez returns from last season, but there is a villain named John “Bushmaster” McIver.

Bushmaster (Luke Cage 2)

Now, Bushmaster is portrayed as a crazed Jamaican who is obsessed with killing Mariah and any other Stokes that is alive. When he first encounters the protagonist Luke Cage, Bushmaster gives him a serious beatdown because he uses a Maroon fighting style known as Bangaran, which is similar to Capoeira minus the “jinga” dancing step. Sidebar: Denzel Washington and Robert Townsend did a form of bangaran in the classic film The Mighty Quinn. Anyway, you find out later that reason Bushmaster is out to kill Mariah is because the Stokes murdered his family and stole his inheritance.

Bushmaster fight Luke Cage

So, like I said, I am not going through the whole season. I am just going to say that the best, the coldest, the most relevant to our situation and the most profound scene that explains most of our situation occurs between in episode 24 “The Creator.”

In the scene, Shades and Mariah kidnaps Bushmaster’s Uncle Paul “Anansi” McIntosh. (Sidebar: Anansi is the name of the Akan Ellegua or trickster spirit who manifests himself as a spider, who became Aunt Nancy in the United States. The name Anansi is also featured in the show American Gods 2 as Mr. Nancy shown above.)

Anansi (Sahr Ngaujah) in Luke Cage 2.

Anyway, they are discussing how her grandfather “Buggy Stokes” stole Bushmaster’s father (Quincy McIver) distillery.

Mariah tells Anansi that afterwards, “The Italian gangsters took the liquor. The Irish cop’s protection but we (Stokes) kept the real-estate.”

Anansi responds saying “Yuh grandfather was a slave.”

Mariah retaliates, “Buggy Stokes was freer than you will ever be.”

Anansi, “That’s the problem with you, Yankee. Yuh nuh have the strength to fight yuh masters dem. Yuh lazy. Yuh content with the scraps. Yuh happy to sing and dance for dem.“

Mariah responds saying, “Oh, please. Every Jamaican talks that Marron bullshit.”

What, y;all didn’t get your freedom–What? 1962. And then you got enslaved by the World Bank.  All you’re known for is Marley, marijuana and murder.

Anansi tells Mariah, “Quincy McIver wanted to fight the Italians and di Irish. Him thought Buggy would’ve had him back.”

Mariah finishes saying, “Buggy could only fight for one family. And he chose the right one.”

And, it is here we see the entire psychological and social issue that most of us suffer from without even noticing. It interesting that none of the “woke” community has even spoke about it.  First, if you ever watched the first season of Luke Cage you know that Mariah has serious self-identity and self-love issues. She rose to power (spoiler alert for those who have not watched  season 1) because her cousin teased her by repeating a horrible nickname “Black Mariah,” which led to his death.  In the beginning of season 2, Mariah is persuaded to make a deal by another Black American gangster who discourages her from working with (paraphrase) “Cigar Smoking Blacks, Caribbean Blacks, Rum Drinking Blacks” (derogatory shots to Blacks in the Caribbean) and encourage her to work only with Mississippi Blacks (American Blacks).

Anansi’s statement to Mariah that, “That’s the problem with you, Yankee. Yuh nuh have the strength to fight yuh masters dem.  Yuh lazy. Yuh content with the scraps. Yuh happy to sing and dance for dem.“

She totally missed what Anansi was saying because like most people she did not know her history. The Maroon’s is a generic and derogatory term from the Spanish word cimarrón, that was corrupted in English to maroon to mean “wild, unruly and runaway slave.”

Family. The Maroons were not a single or separate race of people. They were Africans forcefully brought to the Americans and forced to be slaves, who had had enough and fled into the wild to make their own life. Many of the “Maroons” banded with the indigenous people of the land and built numerous communities all throughout the Americas and they warred with the Europeans to defend their land.  This is reflected in Bushmaster who has hazel colored eyes, was blessed by his grandmother who was an Obeah woman, etc.

Most people have only vaguely heard of the Jamaican Maroon community and think that the term Maroon only refers to escaped Africans there.  But, there were Maroons they escaped and settled with the Taino in Haiti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. The Maroons in the United States were the infamous Seminoles in Florida, that no one wants to really talk about. Not to mention the Africans who joined forces with the indigenous in Louisiana and Mississippi.  In fact, any African American who has an affinity with the Native American spirit Black Hawk will be surprised to find that it has nothing to do with how many are portraying him. It is drawing back to this Maroon spiritual connection, which means you may have some African ancestry who were Maroons.

Maroon culture promoted in Jamaica courtesy of http://etn.travel/jamaicas-tourism-promote-maroon-festival-9112/

There were Maroon cultures in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, and their descendants are the Garifuna.  There were Maroon cultures in Panama, Columbia, Ecuador and in Brazil, the most famous Maroon culture was called Palmares home of the legendary leader Zumbi dos Palmares, rumored to be the birthplace of the contemporary Capoeira.

There were also Maroons in Mexico where the most famous Angolan Maroon leader, Yanga Gaspar, was said to have beat the Spanish so bad that it led to a peace treaty, which eventually led to Mexico winning its independence. Yanga Gaspar is honored today in Veracruz, Mexico with a statue There were even Maroon communities in Canada.

In Jamaica the “Maroons” had two pivotal wars against the British that eventually led to the British signing a peace treaty with them. Jamaica’s independence had nothing to do with the Maroons but they tried to tie the two together to make “selling out” looking appeasing and make our indigenous culture look primitive, backwards and unimportant.

Killmonger of Black Panther

Again, it was another tip of the Marvel hat to put down indigenous African culture and African mindsets as they had done with the Killmonger character in Black Panther.

It makes you ask the question that if our indigenous mindset (culture and spirituality) is so primitive, backwards and unimportant, why don’t let us be?

It is because they know that it is not. The Maroon culture is the only culture within the Americas that has flipped the system because they know that they are the only ones who are mentally and spiritually free. Understand, Maroon culture focuses on going within. In fact, all throughout the series Anansi keeps reminding Bushmaster that true power comes from within.

The Maroons all over the Afro-Diaspora are the ones who understood that anyone you allow to give you your freedom is your slave master, and this is what Mariah missed as she was applauding her grandfather who murdered his own just to settle for scraps from the Italians and Irish mobs.

Family. I hope that this has inspired you to take a deeper look at Maroon culture so that you can understand what it really means to be mentally and spiritually free.  A lot of effort is being made so that we do not return to our original spiritual mindset. This world has nothing to offer us because our genius is within.

Don’t be fooled into thinking otherwise.

Creating Permanent Positive Change through Invocation

5 08 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, if you grew up in the church, a religious or Christian household, you know that the one practice that is heavily stressed is prayer. We are instructed that if we are sick, having money issues, problems with our family, needing a raise on our job, etc. We are instructed to pray because…prayer changes things.

But, what I have learned over the years is that this is not entirely true. I remember the first time I got into a bind and really tried to pray to God for some help.  Like many young Black males in the City of Detroit during the mid-1980s, I was trying to avoid the crack related violence occurring all over the city. I had attended church all of my young life but when I entered my teen years, I was no longer under the protection of my parents’ spiritual grace. So, I tried my best to pray and ask God to help me but, my request fell on deaf ears.

I remember asking more experienced people at my parents’ church how to pray and why I felt that my prayer was not being answered.  The response these people told me, led me to believe that my prayers were not being answered because I did not have faith.  Since, I did not have faith, it was like oh well, too bad, so sad, go get some faith and suffer until I did so for God to help me.

I remember I after hearing this, I walked away contemplating suicide because in my young mind.  It was reasoned that God did not want me because I was not one of the “Chosen Ones.”

Fortunately, thanks to intervention from my ancestors and spirit guides I was saved and directed to take an alternative path.  It was through this alternative path that I learned that the reason prayer does not work and for that matter affirmation, positive thinking, creative visualization, rituals and even magick a lot of times does not work is because as many church going people claim, “the lack of faith.” But, it is not because of the lack of faith in God.

It is the lack of faith in oneself and their belief in God. Now, the reason most people lack faith in them selves in regards to their belief in God is because we have been taught to fear the Divine and that to question anything in regards to the Divine is considered blasphemous. Now, that we are adults, we can put aside these superstitions and recognize that the reason we have all been drawn to understanding the nature of our being in regards to the Divine, is because deep within our being.  We understand that the secret to knowing the Divine lies in understanding our mind.

Understanding the KAMTA (Spiritual) and TASETT (Physical)  Aspect of Our Being

So, in order to have faith in our self in regards to the belief of God, we must learn to think differently about ourselves and our relationship to the Divine.  This means understanding that we are all made in the image of the Divine and that everything that exists in the Universe exists within us in an infinitely small scale. Since our Universe is composed of energy/matter, everything that has been discovered and undiscovered both energy/matter can be found within our being.  Everything that we see and do not see in the Universe can be found within our being as well.  Therefore, metaphysically we say that both the visible, physical realm (TASETT – the Red Lands) and the invisible, spiritual realm (KAMTA) can be found within our being. Psychologically speaking, the visible, habitual or TASETT part of our being corresponds to our subconscious or sahu, while the invisible, unusual or KAMTA part of our being corresponds to our Superconscious or BA.

Therefore, there is a known, familiar, habitual, subconscious part (sahu) of our being symbolized as TASETT, which is based upon our beliefs and.  An unknown, unfamiliar and inhabitual or unusual, Superconscious (BA) part of our being symbolized as KAMTA that is based upon our knowing.

Understand, the difference between belief and knowing is that beliefs are based upon observable events and things that occur in one’s environment. Beliefs are usually communicated to us by someone we see as an authority figure such as our parents, other adults, teachers, leaders, politicians, etc. Beliefs are subjective, meaning they change based upon an individual’s cognizance, maturity, intelligence and experience, which is why most people believe in God.  However, knowing is based upon an individual’s inner-sperience or insperience. Knowing does not change, meaning that when you know something such as 2+2 =4, you cannot go back and unlearn it.

TASETT – the Lower Kemet/lower self/subconscious – sahu part of our being.

It should be noted that the root of the word TASETT is Set, who is personification of our sah (subconscious ego-self) and the spirit of chaos, confusion, calamity, storms, etc.  This means that since our lives are based upon either our beliefs or knowing., most of our problems in life are due to the fact that we live our life on autopilot based upon our sahu (subconscious) beliefs and not our BA  (Superconscious) knowing. For instance, although most of us know that life is full of shades of gray, we believe that life is black and white. Although we know that we are all unique individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, we erroneously believe that we should all have the same morals, ethics, standards, etc. and if we do not, we label one another as being crazy, etc. When the truth of the matter is that when an individual does not act or behave in the appropriate manner, it is because they are living their lives based upon their erroneous beliefs and not knowing, which is symbolized as living under the sway of Set. Understand, obstacles, problems, trials, etc. are simply signs that we are in an unfamiliar situation that we have no knowledge of.  The problems become worse when we try to resolve them based upon our limited belief system within our sahu because the purpose of the sahu is not to solve problems but to help us to physically survive. Problem solving is a task assigned to our BA – the knowing part of our being, which is the reason KAMTA is ruled by Osar, the ultimate judge, spirit of knowledge, peace, wisdom, stability, prosperity and tranquility.

KAMTA is the Kemetic term our Nilotic ancestors gave us to remind us that our greatest potential is within like the dark fertile soil of southern Kemet or the dark and mysterious starry night sky.  Therefore, new actions, behaviors, creative ideas, etc. must be cultivated from out of the deep recesses of our mind or out of KAMTA. This is the mysterious part of our being which means we are not supposed to understand it logically. This also means that we are all genius, we are all brilliant, we are all amazing individuals but in order for us to be geniuses, brilliant and amazing individuals we have to cultivate this mindset from within and make it a new habit. Simply repeating an affirmation, visualizing, praying, etc. means nothing if it is not cultivated within and made into knowing. People who are geniuses, brilliant and amazing do not believe they are geniuses, brilliant and amazing. They know it.

How Do You Cultivate Knowing?

The way to cultivate knowing is by practicing following your intuition. Before I continue, remember ideas coming from our BA (Superconscious) symbolized as a KAMTA are going to be strange, unfamiliar and even a little weird but they will never put you in harms way, endanger you or force you to go against your ethics.

Remember, this is the part of our being that we are unfamiliar with, so to tap into it you have to do something that is out of the ordinary. For instance, when my wife and I got married, we both wanted a child. Like many married couples desiring to have a child, we stressed about it and even talked to an obstetrician to discuss our concerns, which is the sahu approach.

Then, my wife found a Bes statue. Bes, in Kamta belief is a “civilized” African faery/dwarf spirit who protects children, households from negative spirits and assists women in pregnancy.  Since he works closely with Nebhet (Nephthys)– the Lady of the House and Npu (Anubis)– the Kemetic Messenger spirit, I painted him red black, white and yellow. Now, I remember my wife placed the Bes statue in our living room and then he moved to our bedroom. Next, she offered him pieces of candy and then one day, I offered him a glass of Red Stripe beer, which are all BA practices.

The next thing I know, one day my wife and I were joking around a little bit more than usual. I found myself spontaneously dancing for no reason, almost as if I was teenage boy flirting with her.  This went on for a long time during the month of February.  To make a long story short, almost a month after meeting the obstetrician, I had to go out of town for a conference. On the third day of the conference in March, my wife called me with some important news and told me she was pregnant.

Today, when I reflect back and think about that entire scenario of how our daughter was conceived, I tell you that Bes did not descend out of the ether into my wife and my body.  Bes was already present because he existed within the deep recesses of my mind or KAMTA and consequently, Bes manifested out of the darkness of my higher spirit. The offerings that were given to him were mental triggers to activate this spirit within my wife and I, so that he came into the light.  The funny thing was that during the pregnancy, my wife began to take on the form of Bes’ wife Tawret.

Now, if you are new to this and it sounds weird it is because you are relying on the intellect of your sahu (subconscious) and trying to figure it out but this is not the purpose of your sahu.  It is our BA’s responsibility to solve our problems. We are simply supposed to say, “Hey, I want x, y and z” and our BA is supposed to figure out how to make it happen.

Remember, the knowing part of your being does not need you to understand how it works.  My wife and I did not question how we were going to become pregnant. We focused on knowing that we would by allowing the BA (Superconscious) part of our being to figure out the details.

For some people, this sounds bizarre because you have seen pictures and/or film of people prostrated before some strange idol. These same images usually label the followers as being pagan, primitive and overly superstitious people who will give these idols anything their first born.  Sorry people, this is all fantasy created by so-called monotheistic people who have no understanding about how their mind works. True positive and permanent change is based upon connecting with our BA using images and symbols to awaken our potential.

Why I Use Vodou as a Black Man in America

17 07 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, I was 16 years old and my mother had sent my 12-year-old brother and I to the store to get a few items so that she could make lunch for us and my father when he returned home from work. The Famer Jack grocery store was almost a half-a-mile from the house, so as usual my brother and I told each other jokes as we walked to and from the store. On our way back from the store as we were walking home and carrying plastic grocery bags, a squad car out of nowhere, came to a screeching stop on the side of the road. Two white officers jumped out of the car and asked where we were coming from. Scared as hell, we said the store. Then, the officers told us to go to the side of the car, while they frisked us.  Finding nothing, they jumped back in the car and sped off down the street.

As my brother and I picked up the groceries off the ground, while seeing passerby ride by us. All I could remember was feeling shame, frustrated, fear and anger all at the same time. My brother and I were speechless for the rest of the walk home.

When we got home, my father had just arrived and my mother asked us why did it take so long.  We told them that the cops had pulled us over. I remember telling my parents that I wanted to run from them but, my parents told my brother and I did the right thing. We were not guilty of anything so there was no reason to run but, still I was angry, embarrassed, upset, and frustrated because the way it sounded.  It was normal for the police to do this. The officers did not offer any apology or anything, as if they assumed that my brother and I were probably up to no good, just not today.

This was the first time I experienced being powerless but understood that it was not about being right but about surviving.  This incident made me think about all of those other kids who did not have parents or some wise adult in their sphere to tell them to focus on surviving and not on what was right. It made me think about one of my great uncles who was murdered by a white man during the Jim Crow era and justice was not served because my uncle was Black. It also made me think about all of those untold stories of Black men and women who were murdered all throughout history.

But, the incident also made me see a big chink in Christianity because I remembered thinking how could you believe that Jesus protects you but you see police harassment and brutality as a part of life?  I mean no disrespect to my parents and older generations who have had to deal with this nonsense. I understand that is what they had to do at the time and no matter how much we, in the younger generation(s), may disagree with the choices made by those in the Civil Rights era. The facts are, those people made sacrifices by being attacked by dogs, having fire houses opened on them, etc., in order for us to talk to today. For that, I am extremely appreciative and grateful but, we live in a different time now and I do not have to live by the Christian Golden Rule.

Now, I pay homage to my warrior spirits because the blood of Jesus only covered a fraction of my being, but my spirits cover all of me like the cape of Spawn, because they are the warrior aspect of my BA (Higher Self/Superconscious).

Ever since I have come into the understanding of who I AM, I know that I shape my reality.  I know that what works for “them” does not work for me and vice versa.  And, that’s why as a Black Man, I thank God for the Vodou, which gives me a different way of seeing.  Please note, that by the term Vodou I am referring to the rebellious African spirit and Bantu-Kongo cosmological thinking in the western society.

For instance, after coming into my own, the last time I was pulled over by the cops, it was Maat who oversaw the whole incident. It was at night and a cop pulled me over because my rear lights were out. Then, the cop escorted me to the nearest auto parts store so that I could replace the fuse that had blown.

The point that I am making, is that we need to stop being hypocritical. It absolutely drove me crazy hearing my parents and their generation talk about the goodness of Jesus and how powerful the blood of Jesus was in one breath but, then complain how the “man” kept them down, harassed and brutalized them, as if “the man” was more powerful than God.

I hear people today saying a similar thing. They talk about how we are gods and goddesses but then complain about how the “man” or some other conspiracy is working on them. I mean, if you claim to be a god or goddess…SHOW AND PROVE!
