How Come the Lord Did Not Tell You Not to Sin?

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

I remember one day I was talking to this individual who had converted to Christianity not too long ago. Like most new converts, this individual was very zealous and all they wanted to talk about how “good God has been” to them.  Now, I was happy that this individual had changed their life because I knew them prior to their conversion and they needed religion in a bad way.  But, in a relatively short time after this individual had converted, I noticed that they had become a borderline fanatic.

As I listened to them go on and on and start every sentence with, “The Lord told me…” I noticed that they were dressed differently than usual. Instead of the normal street clothes they were now donning conservative wear. Their hair was processed and their skin was covered in acne. When I asked about their relationship with their spouse, they told me that they were having problems but they were going to fix their problems through the power of prayer.

Then, this individual invited me to attend a church revival with them because there was this guest preacher who was exorcising demons. They had told me that this was the second time this preacher had come to the city and the last time, “the Lord really blessed because this guy was on fire.” This individual also told me that the last time this preacher came they brought another preacher with them who was from the Dominican Republic, who had the power of healing. So, this revival was going to focus primarily on healing and exorcising demons.

Looking at this individual with a ‘gas face (skepticism).’ I told them as politely as I could. “No thank you,” but you know these religious zealots cannot take “No” for an answer and they asked again. Again, I declined, a second and third time, but then they said something that should not have struck a nerve but it did, which was.

“Ok. You just don’t want any healing. God could really bless you if you just attend.”

WTH?  That was it. I did not want to go off but I had no choice and asked, “Why doesn’t the Lord tell you to love yourself by eating nutritious food and stop putting a host of chemicals in your body? Why doesn’t the Lord tell you how to manage your anger and watch what you say so that you can stop offending your spouse and others? Why doesn’t the Lord tell you to respect people regardless if they believe and instead of trying to force people to accept what you believe, that you should instead live by example? I am just curious why the Lord never tells you this.”

Instead of answering my questions, they claimed that they had to leave so that they could get a good seat for church service.

Now, I knew this individual was not going to answer my questions because that is how most religious zealots are. They always claim that the “Lord” told them to do something and that you should follow whatever they say, but when you put personal responsibility back on them. They immediately shift it to the devil and claim that it was “the Lord’s” doing.  It is interesting that “the Lord” never tells these people about vanity, greed, envy, sloth, wrath, lust, and gluttony, which is what most religious individuals (especially in the United States) suffer from.

I mean, isn’t it bizarre that the Lord speaks to these people and gives them all sorts of insight but never says, “Thou Shalt Not Get Cosmetic Surgery. Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Husband or Wife. Thou Shalt Not… (You get the point).”

Isn’t it interesting that the Lord talks to these people but never tells them how to avoid being overtaken by vanity, greed, envy, sloth, wrath, lust, and gluttony.  Better yet, how is it that these people are able to hear messages from the Lord telling them to do “his Will” in spreading the gospel, but not hear the Lord telling them not to offend others, have extramarital affairs, steal money, use drugs, etc.?

I propose that it was never the Lord talking to these people in the first place. If you look closely you will see that most of the religious leaders and most of the adherents who follow in their footsteps, are afflicted by three or more of the Seven Deadly Sins (vanity, greed, envy, sloth, wrath, lust, and gluttony).  The reason most adherents are not taught about the seven deadly sins is because they are not bible based.  In fact, the concept is said to be created by Evagrius of Pont, an Egyptian monk around 300AD. Evagrius compiled the list as a the “evil thoughts” that plague humanity, which circulated throughout Christendom. Although the Church denounced the sins and branded Evagrius a heretic, it was Dante’s Divine Comedy, which popular the sins as major transgressions against God that required the sinner confess and ask for repentance.

Now, the reason the Seven Deadly Sins were rejected was because it put a monkey wrench in the whole salvation scheme that claimed that Jesus died and washed away one’s sin.  According to theory, if Jesus died and washed away one’s sin, then the Seven Deadly Sin should not exist. If these concepts were allowed to flourish, salvation would have been put back in the hands of the individual.  The reason the Church banned the Seven Deadly Sins was because they could not profit from it. By banning this list and declaring Evagrius a heretic, the Church (and future Church leaders) could always claim that they are the mouthpiece of God.

Family. God exists within you and God is not going to give someone a message about you without telling you about it. This reminds me of a funny story.  My brother had helped this lady out one time by giving her a ride home from church, helping to carry things into her house, etc. Just to be nice. Apparently, this lady misinterpreted his kind gestures and told my brother, “The Lord said that you were going to be my husband.” To which, my brother replied, “Well, the Lord did not mention that to me” and that was the last time he talked to her. (Laugh).

Like I said, God exists within you and God is not going to give someone a message about you without telling you about it. This whole notion that the Lord is talking to people, is a manipulation and perversion of a metaphysical concept. The Lord talks to all of us but you need to know which Lord is talking to you.

Here are some more people who claimed that the Lord told them to do “His Will.”

By the way, should I mention that the “Lord” according to these religious zealots claimed to have told them to bomb churches.  This same “Lord” in history also told similar people to massacre the Amerindians and enslave the Africans because they did not worship Jesus.  The interesting thing is that even after they converted to Christianity, the “Lord” told them to continue to persecute the Native Americans and Black Americans. Oh, I forgot to mention that the “Lord” also told these men in Europe and the Americas to murder women and children because they were witches.

The “Lord” that these people worship is very violent and when he cannot get his way. He pouts, has a temper-tantrum and destroys whatever is in his midst because the Lord that most of these people are talking about is Satan. What the monk Evagrius was trying to convey to his ignorant Christian brethren is that we have two Lords: God and the devil, and they both exist within. The Seven Deadly Sins are the “evil thoughts” that lead to Satan.

No. Satan worshipers are not black robed people who meet on a Saturday night at 12 o’clock midnight and chant or read the bible verses backwards. Then, they disrobe and have a massive orgy and do all sorts of drugs. Nope, that’s the Greeks and Hollywood has been fascinated by this image because it models itself after the Greek city Athens, but these are real Satanic worshipers. The word Satan means Adversary and it was derived from the Kemetic Set-an, which refers to one’s lower self or ego. Thus, true Satan worshipers are worshipers of their Ego.    True salvation comes from self-control and self-discipline, and if these people would have listened to traditional African healers, priests and priestess. They would have explained to them that they have been worshiping the devil all along. This is the reason there is so much evil in the world and most of it is being committed by so-called God fearing individuals.

The real Lord that most of these people are worshiping is the Lord of Chaos, known in the Kemetic tradition as Set.  According to Kemetic legend, Set was so wild and uncontrollable that in order for Hru (Hrw, Heru or Horus) to defeat him, Hru had to castrate him.  Does it now make sense why our society has literally gone to hell in a gasoline basket with dynamite? Can you see how most of these people who are claiming that the Lord is talking to them are really listening to Set based upon their egotistical, prideful, selfish, lustful, vengeful, gluttonous, greedy and narcissistic behavior? Yes, it is Set who is ruling the world but there is nothing to fear. Unlike the religious fanatics who are bracing for the end of the world because they believe the devil is some physical impish red man running around with a pitchfork challenging God, so they believe they are helpless.

We know that the true devil is our lower self and the way to stop the devil is to simply deny him power. In other words, stop listening and following your ego and learn to follow your Higher Self.  This is what the battle between battle between Hru and Set is all about. Stop giving into your Set (Ego)! Fight him! Stop worshiping Jesus and BE JESUS by telling Set,

“Get ye behind me Set-an!”

The obvious question is how do you know when it is the Lord (your Higher Self) speaking and not the Lord of Chaos? Well, when Set is talking to you, the Lord of Chaos usually is going to cater to your anxieties, fears, worries and guilt.  Think about that. Everything that you are afraid of, worried about, get anxious about, etc., this is what the devil preys upon.  In fact, every time you try to do what is Right, it is Set who whispers in your ear to do what is Easy by robbing, stealing, cheating, manipulating, exploiting, abusing and taking advantage of others emotionally, financially, physically, sexually, etc.  Proof of this can be seen in all of the cases of the corrupted public and religious official. Not only that Family. Your Set does not want you to embrace your divinity. Your Set wants you to believe you are powerless and that God has abandon you. Your Set preys upon using your fears.

Thankfully, we have a Higher Self or Osar.  When your Higher Self or Osar tells you to do something.  It is usually what you do not want to do but is the Right thing to do.  Your Higher Self or Osar encourages you to do what is Right instead of what is Easy. The cool thing about following your Osar is that the more you listen to your Higher Self, the louder this voice becomes and the stronger you become spiritually. To the point that no one or no thing will be able to sway and take advantage of you ever again. Not only that, you can generate your own prosperity and blessings instead of falling for these scams.

Understand. The true power of God is within and to use it requires self-control and self-discipline. If something or someone tells you differently, note that this is not Osar or the Lord speaking.  it is Set.

The Universe Helps Those Who Help Themselves

25 01 2018

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

January is almost up and this is the time that a lot of people start giving up on their new year’s resolutions.  If you are one of these individuals, do not throw the towel in yet! Before you declare yourself a complete failure, you need to understand that the reason you are not making progress in your achieving your goals is because you cannot just tell yourself – technically your lower self or sahu – to change and expect it to change.

Remember, your lower self (the subconscious part of your being) or sahu is responsible for storing all your personal memories and emotions.  Its’ main purpose is to help you to physically survive and it does this by creating our habitual behavior.  All, of our habitual (good and bad) behavior was created to help us to cope with a specific situation at that time. In other words, our sahu creates our habits to make us feel good at the moment.  Problems arise when the habit is no longer needed because the lower self (the subconscious part of your being) or sahu does not like to change. And, to make matters worse, we cannot tell it to change. This is the reason just affirming, declaring or saying, “I am going to lose weight”, “I am going to work out”, “I am going to stop overeating”, “I am going to cut back or stop consuming process foods”, “I am going to quit smoking”, etc. does not make our sahu move.

Talking to our sahu about change is like talking to a spoiled child. The sahu is stubborn, which is the reason it is personified as Set (the Kemetic devil). That’s right! The devil is not some reddish imp running around tempting people to do evil. No. The devil is the lower you!

Understanding that Set is not some evil force outside of us but the egotistical and subconscious part of our being that feels threaten, is the reason our Kemetic ancestors also symbolized it as donkey or ass.  This was to remind us that when our sahu works, it works hard but getting it to work in our best interest is always the problem, so you must lead it by putting a carrot on the stick.

In other words, to motivate your lower self (the subconscious part of your being) or sahu, you must stimulate it through pain. Since, the lower self (the subconscious part of your being) or sahu does not like pain by presenting it with the notion that a greater pain will occur if it does not change, is enough to motivate it to do what you want.

Simply put, “Change occurs when the pain of remaining the same is greater than the pain of changing.”

What this means in a nutshell is that when you get tired of the same results. You will seek out ways to change.   When you get tired of the complications (and other social issues) associated with substance abuse, you will look for ways to overcome your abuse of food, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc. When you get tired of not having energy because you are overweight, you will be motivated to exercise on a regular basis and look for ways to help you to manage your weight.  When you get tired of being broke and living paycheck-to-paycheck, you will learn to better manage your money and explore ways to invest it to increase your finances.

It is said that God helps those who help themselves, meaning if you do not show any commitment to the change you want. You are not going to achieve change. In fact, while we’re on the subject, the reason most peoples’ prayers are not answered is because they are not truly committed to their desired change and simply give up early.  In other words, they are not really tired or serious about change.

When you get really, really tired and keep fighting for change.  A new way will open up.  Metaphysically speaking, this is when the Universe, God, your Spirits or your BA (your Higher Self or Superconscious part of your being) takes notice and is activated, which is symbolized as Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris). In the Kemetic Story of Osar, this whole situation is represented as Oset looking for the body of Osar and not getting anywhere until Ra sends her Npu to Open her Way.   Ra in this case (as seen on the Maa Aankh) represents the Universe opening up due to our commitment, our hard work and ‘DAT STRUGGLE against Set or destructive habitual behaviors.

It is physics. Two things cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  You either are going to be for Team Osar (creating change by activating your Superconscious) or Team Set (continuing to follow your outdated subconscious habits and receive the same tired results).

Understand Family. We are destined to win but in order for our victory to be sweet. We have to fight our greatest enemy, our lower subconscious self that refuses to change, within.

Five Reasons You Should Have a Het (Spiritual House) for Your Spirits

29 09 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, the other day I was looking at my het (spiritual house/altar) and just thinking about how much it has grown from a simple cloth on a wooden box to a two-story altar with a plethora of empowering images. As I gazed upon my het, I am reminded of how much I have grown from mimicking the altars of others out-of-ignorance, to being able to construct a het anywhere by drawing a gateway with a piece of chalk on the ground as my ancestors have done before me.

Kongo Cross used for Ventilation during Underground Railroad

I am amazed at how much I have grown from seeing ordinary objects with concrete images to seeing how anywhere that lines meet form a maa aankh and can become a sacred space.  I stare in awe as I gape upon the numerous images and glasses of libations, which reminds me of the sense of community that the Kemetic people used to defeat the shemsu Set (followers of Set). I see that for those of us on this shamanic path that our het is very important for five reasons and they are:

  1. Reminds You That You Are a God/Goddess. Western religions separate human beings from God and always depict divinities such as angels, saints, martyrs, etc. as towering and tyrannical entities similar to the Greek gods. In Kemetic shamanism we are reminded that the so-called gods and goddesses were once people too. When their images are placed on the het at eye level or on the ground, we are reminded that our Spirits are not above us, and we are not above them.  But that they need us just as much as we need them, just like Osar needed Hru and vice versa. A het is built on the floor to remind ourselves and our Spirits that they are warriors.  A het is built at eye level to remind us and the Spirits that we are here to help one another. Therefore, the het is visual reminder of the partnership that must be created between us and our Spirits in order to achieve our destiny.
Npu (Anubis) - The Opener of the Way

Npu (Anubis) – The Opener of the Way

  1. Reminds You That You Are Responsible for Your Life. While it may be a great relief to put all of our cares and worries in the lap of some cosmic deity. It does not erase the why we are here, which is the reason if we continue to struggle with certain issues and problems throughout our life. It is because this problem is tied to your destiny, which means you incarnated to this planet to learn how to overcome that issue. A het reminds you of your purpose and helps you to gather the spiritual strength to achieve your divine purpose, by reminding you of the life of those who came before you.
  1. Helps You to Elevate Your Thoughts. Believe it or not our Spirits know that life on earth is hard because our sahu (physical-body consciousness) has been created to help us to physically survive. Consequently, everything that we do in nature supports our lower self, which means we are naturally selfish and egotistical beings. It is because human beings have an Ab soul that we can choose to rise above our animalistic or lower nature to access our divine nature or BA (Higher Self). The problem is that we have to be constantly reminded of our divine nature because all it takes is for one thing such as someone cutting us off in traffic, flipping us the bird, etc. And, BAM! We forget that we are gods and goddesses having a human experience and revert to our lower self. The het helps us to remember that we are divine beings by allowing our Spirits to interact in our daily life. So, when someone cuts off in traffic, before reacting we notice that the car is red and black, hence Npu or when someone flips us the bird. We see signs of Setian influence all around that person and so on. In other words, the het helps us to see life from a cosmic perspective.
  1. Provide Space to Practice Your Magick. I hear people saying all the time, “Wo/Man were made in the likeness of God” which means that we are supposed to be gods and goddesses too, but when it comes to people demonstrating their godliness. All they do is beg God to save them or save someone else. The Christian speaker Jesus says that all of these things that he does, we will be able to do the same and more through the Father (the Christian code for the BA or Higher Self). This means that when we connect to our BA, we all have the power to bless, heal, etc. as Jesus has done. The het provides the space for us to practice our magick and realize our divine potential. It allows you to contribute to creation instead of being a pawn of nature.
  1. Frees You From Mental Slavery. The Western world was created to gratify our animalistic or lower self. It thrives on the survival of the fittest model, which requires that humanity like animals connive, enslave, steal and kill others to survive. Every aspect of Western society from their religion to politics, to their education to medicine, it is all driven by the same theme, which involves exploiting and subjugating others. This is why the Western society is flirting with disaster because it does not know how to teach its citizens how to get solutions from the BA (Higher Self). Even after the greatest Western minds like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and many others have attested to the power of this Higher Intelligence, Westerners refuse to explore and teach this truth, thus further encouraging its members of society to invest in their lower nature and ultimate demise.
The het gives us an escape by helping us to communicate with souls of the past, thereby exploring new ways of how to solve old problems.

There are other reasons why the het is a very powerful spiritual tool and when you understand its importance.  It will become clear that the reason Westerners demonized our spiritual practices and destroyed our altars, shrines and collected our sacred objects, which they store in their museums, is because they could not reproduce the same results.  So instead, Westerners chose to eradicate free thought but thankfully the souls of the righteous do not die and our Spirits are always near. If you are sitting on the fence as to building a het for your Spirits, I hope this article will help you to build your Spirits a home.

How to Develop a Maa (Holistic) Perspective

28 09 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

One of the biggest misunderstandings we hear when it comes to spirituality is that the physical world is not real. When people begin to ‘wake up’ or become conscious (enlightened), they are told that the physical world is not a real without further explanation. Some spiritual teachers actually tell their students that only the spiritual realm is real and that it exists above and beyond the physical world.

This is not true per se. This misconception and misunderstanding is due to Westerners culturally appropriating the Hindu concept “maya” without properly understanding the philosophy behind it. The term “maya” is often translated to mean “illusion,” but its literal meaning is closer to “deception.” In other words, maya is a deceptive force that deceives us into seeing that the physical world can give us everything we want, including peace, prosperity, love, wealth, power, happiness, etc.

It is not that the physical is not real.  The physical realm is very much real.  It is that the physical realm casts an illusion that it is a separate and the only reality.  It deludes us into thinking that we are trapped in this realm. For instance, if you are born into poverty, you will also be impoverished, which is an illusion.  If you are ill, you will always ill according to the physical realm, but again this is an illusion because it has been proven that most illness are psychosomatic. Most illnesses are influenced by a thoughts, actions, beliefs, etc.  When we see accidents, tragedies, etc. the physical realm makes us believe that these events just happened or all of a sudden occurred. In other words, the physical realm creates the delusion that we live in a world of happenstance because we do not see the front end of Maa.

The truth is that the physical realm is the end product or the end result of the spiritual realm. Whenever we see planned and unplanned events occur, what we are witnessing is the physical effect of a spiritual cause.  Said another way, the physical realm is a manifestation of the spiritual realm, which is the reason the spiritual realm is called on the maa aankh KAMTA (the southern region of Kemet or Upper Kemet) because it was the inundation of the Nile River in this region that flowed upward and made the northern region TASETT (the Red Lands or Lower Kemet).

Maa Aankh with Utchat

So in Kamta the physical realm is called TASETT (the Red Lands or desert) and is identified with the Kemetic/Kamitic adversary Set, the author of confusion, chaos, war, etc. because it is an energy that creates the delusions of happiness, power, prosperity, peace, etc. from physical things. Set, the foe spirit that governs this physical realm or TASETT, is the spirit of deception that causes us to be selfish, egotistical, arrogant, narcissistic, self-centered, etc.  For this reasons, we say that Set blinds us from seeing the whole as Netcher (Neter) intended.

Understand. If you think that money, sex, drugs, or any other physical thing is going to give you happiness, prosperity, peace, etc. You have been blinded by Set, as the Kemetic hero Hru was when the enemy gouged his eye. But, at the same time, if you think that you do not need the physical realm or that the spiritual realm is the only thing that is important, thus resulting in you thinking you do not need money, shelter, food, etc. Then, you are being too spiritual and not practical like Osar (Asar), which resulted in him underestimating Set and leading to an early death.

To bring Maa (Balance) into your life so that you can see with both eyes, here are several activities that you can employ:

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

  1. Build an ancestral altar. In the Kemetic Legend of Osar, after Oset and Nebhet collected the dismembered body parts of Osar. Everywhere they recovered a missing part they erected a shrine in Osar’s honor, which is an allusion to ancestor veneration. The reason ancestor veneration is the most widely practice tradition all over the world is because it is proof that there is a spiritual reality beyond this physical reality. The followers of Set have done a great job convincing people there is a heaven and hell but have yet to prove the existence of both. Ancestor veneration is proof that the human soul does not die.
  2. Begin to Practice Divination. True divination is not a means of foretelling the future and determining the winning numbers of Powerball. By the way, the purpose of divination is not to tell you what you should and should not do. The true purpose of divination is to show you the consequences of choices that you make. Divination provides you with the intuitive or the spiritual side of reality, which is the reason the Kemetic sages ingeniously state that after Set gouged out the young Hru’s eye. It was Djahuti who repaired his perfectly and made it whole.
  3. Rhythmic and Meditative Sounds. When I first became attracted to this way of life, I remember I was watched the movie Quilombo which inspired me to listening to the sacred songs of Cadomble. As a result, the sacred music of Candomble became a gateway that helped me to go into a meditative state. Today, I can listen to blues, gospel, traditional African, etc. and it will transport me to the spiritual realm, thus allowing me to get a Maa perspective. In order to use music as a tool, it is best that music be slow, rhythmic and preferably in another language (or no words like drumming music), so that you are not focusing on the literal meaning of the music but the rhythm. If you possible, you can also try drumming but note that it may require you to drum for several hours.
  4. Studying Metaphysics. Studying metaphysics can also lead to one expanding their awareness but it has to be combined with ritual in order to give a holistic view of reality. When metaphysics is not combined with ritual it leads to “intellectual masturbation” which results in the creation of numerous theories without any practical application. In other words, you are just talk and no action. By combining metaphysics with ritual you are able to see which theories are applicable.
  5. Studying Dreams. The language of the BA (Superconscious) and sahu (subconscious) are symbols, so when one dreams or has visions. They need to ask what does the symbol mean in order to interpret the dream. By diligently studying the symbols in one’s dreams, one is able interpret the vast symbols that exist in nature. Certain patterns such as seeing three feral dogs or encountering individuals wearing red and black, will become easily identifiable as Npu, the jackal masked spirit. Through studying dreams and symbols it becomes clear that the physical realm is a manifestation of the spiritual realm.

There are other ways to establish a Maa perspective in your life but the methods used above are the ones I have found to be the most useful in my development. One thing that must be understood, is that every method does not work the same for everyone. Some people may be more clairvoyant, clairsentience, clairaudience and/or claircognizance. It is rare that one individual will have all of these traits but understand that these are all signs that one eye is being repaired.

Ancient African Spirituality is a Weapon against Mind-Control

2 08 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessing) Family

The other day I went to the library and ran into this lady who was a friend of the family, whom I had not seen for a while. I said, “Hello and asked how she was doing?” And, she proceeded to tell me about all of the problems she was having in her life. She began by telling me that the other day she got out of the car and parked as usual but, somehow the car was not parked, and it dragged her several feet.

This of course prompted me to ask, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, but I got this…” she continued and told me about how her leg got caught under the car, how she has a big gash on her leg, scrapes and other bruises, while pointing and showing a big bandaid she put on.

“Did you go to the hospital?” I asked.

“No. Yeah, the firemen who saw me and stopped the car told me I should go, but I am not going to go because…” and she continued.

“You should really go to the hospital and get checked out.” I said.

“No. I am alright. I don’t even know how I got home. I remember getting in the car,” she said.

“How long ago did this happen?” I asked.

“Oh, I think it was last week.” She answered.

“You really should go to the hospital and get checked out.” I state again.

“Nooo. I am okay. Anyway see you later,” as she limps away.

“I hope you get better but you should really consider going to the doctor.”

The next thing I know, she went and logged on to a computer where she sat for hours watching social media.

Now, I was not sure if this was the case or not but this lady seemed to have a lot of drama in her life. The fact that she was spending hours watching social media instead of going to the hospital made me wonder if her drama was her own self doing. I mean, as she told me about the things that occurred to her, it was almost as if she was looking for attention. I mean (besides financial reasons), why wouldn’t you go and see a medical professional or get treated to make sure that you do not a concussion, staph infection or something worse? Unless, you want or are looking for something else to occur? I mean, I am not trying to judge but it seems like you would want to do something to prevent further problems.

But, the fact that she got on the computer and proceeded to watch videos and get on social media instead of going to seeing if she was okay, convinced me that her priorities were out of rack.

How did this happen? I wondered.

Well, remember we all have a part of our being that governs our automatic responses called the sahu (subconscious). It is completely programmable and does not have the ability to reason, which means if you tell a person “You’re stupid” a number of times. Guess what? You will eventually begin to feel, think and believe “I am stupid.”

Now, most of us are consciously aware of this blatant type of subconscious programming or at least so they think. But, most people do not understand that our subconscious has to always be put in check. Our sahu (subconscious) will believe any authority figure, it not put into check. Don’t believe me. Let a doctor come and say, “You will be sick for three days.” I guarantee you that if you do not tell yourself “The doctor is a lie” and reaffirm that this is not the case. You will fall ill because your subconscious cannot discriminate between what is real and what is not real, what is fact versus what is fiction.

Most people do not see the subconscious programming that passes under our conscious radar because they do not understand that the sahu (subconscious) does not discriminate between fact and fiction.  The sahu (subconscious) naturally obeys and believes all authority. TV and now the Internet are the new authorities. You were right if you said, “People only believe what is on TV” because “seeing is believing”

For instance, when people watch soap operas, romances, dramas, etc. Most of these stories all begin the same. There is damsel in distress who has some personal problem that she refuses to address, so instead she needs a man, a “friend,” some money, so that she can manipulate herself into a powerful position. The motto is “She has to use what she got to get what she wants.”

Of course, I can hear some people crying that this is not true because they do not believe or think that they act or behave like the dramas they watch but remember, this occurs subconsciously. Subconsciously, if you are in the habit of watching soap operas, romances, dramas, etc, your life is full of soap operas, romances, dramas, etc because you are programming your subconscious to be like the dark haired/brunette woman Joanna (Olivia, Maria, etc.) who manipulates her love interest John (James, Pedro, etc.) into lying to his blonde haired wife Becky (Mary, etc.), causing them to fight and have an argument, driving him into the loving arms of Joanna (Olivia, Maria, etc.). The next thing you know, the affair beings but in TVLand, they call it “Love.”

Remember, this subconscious programming occurs under your conscious radar, which means if you are in the habit of engaging in a certain action or behavior, you will think it is normal.

Oh, the subconscious programming is used on Brothas too.

If you are tired of police brutality, tired of the violence, poor economics but all of a sudden find yourself being more concerned about LeBron James, Steph Curry, D’Wade or any other sports teams. The subconscious programming was used to water down your aggression for change and channel it into purchasing sports paraphernalia or video game.

Now, don’t get me wrong. A little bit of escapism is okay and healthy. It is natural and is necessary for you to relax because it is the opposite of stress. But the first sign that there is a problem is when you see things falling apart.

It is like a drug addict. When you see your health failing, teeth and hair falling out of your head. That’s a sign that your escapism has just made you a slave to a destructive subconscious program.

When you have a lot of drama in your life and it seems like it is everyone else fault. You are under the influence of a destructive subconscious program.

When you give more of a damn about a sports team, athlete or entertainer, than you do about yourself, your community, etc. Umm, that is a destructive subconscious program.

When you eat something just to make yourself feel good. This is a destructive subconscious program.

Another sign that it is a destructive subconscious programming is that you do it because it makes you feel good but it does not improve your life one iota! In fact, there is no logical or rational explanation to explain its importance.

This is why if you ever talk to someone who is addicted to a behavior like cigarette smoking or overeating. They will tell you, “I know it is bad and not good for me.”  When asked why they continue to do it, “I can’t help it. It feels so good. I like it” and a whole plethora of other “feeling” excuses. Remember, the sahu (subconscious) does not have the ability to reason, which is why destructive habits do not make sense.

I really hope you are starting to see that some of our problems are due to what we are feeding or entertaining our subconscious with, which is a very easy thing to do. This is the reason our Kemetic ancestors understanding the power of the mind tried to warn us of these dangers by saying that Set was married to Nebhet (the netchar of beauty, love, entertainment, etc.). We find a similar mythology in the Yoruba tradition where Ogun is married to Oshun. It even exists in European lore where Mars is married to Aphrodite. Beauty, love, entertainment, etc. or escapism can easily be manipulated to serve a destructive purpose.

If you ever watched Gladiator starring Russel Crowe, you will recall that the emperor of Rome reinitiated the gladiator games for entertainment purposes only, in order to delude the mob (masses).

Does it make sense why you are being bombarded daily with advertisements, TV shows, films, movies, music, food, drugs, etc. to keep you from going within?

Now that you understand how the enemy influences you and remember that “seeing is believing.” The purpose of building and maintaining a spiritual altar is to get you to draw your attention within.

What’s within you?

God and your ancestors. That’s the short answer.

The long answer, the solution to every problem that exists in your life.

If you want drama and entertainment. Meditate. Get into developing yourself spiritually. I guarantee you, you will find all the drama and entertainment you need. Besides, there is a reward at the end and it is called an improved, happier and successful individual.

Let me tell you Family. When I was diagnosed with lupus. The game to stay optimistic and hopeful among people who were negative and talking that “God’s will (if I die)” crap was intense. Now, I can walk among the most illest individuals because my spirit is strong.

When I lost my job due to the ill-ness and had to find other means of bringing money in. I learned that it was Easy to complain and talk about what I don’t have and can’t do. However, it was Right or Righteous to go within and find what I was wasting money on and tap into ways of how I can improve my finances.

The point is that our salvation comes from within and because we live in this physical realm, we have to be remind our sahu (subconscious) on a daily basis of our divinity. This is the reason the Kemetic people decorated their entire land with hieroglyphics and wall carvings. Silly and immature Western archeologists will tell you that this was art, but it was visual affirmations.

Indigenous people all over the world decorated their homelands and adorned themselves with visual reminders because they understood how easy our sahu (subconscious) would get distracted and have us thinking we are just human beings. This is what Righteous People do, they don’t advertise and market products for people to consume death. Righteous People advertise and market to their spirit about the beauty of nature in order to remind themselves of their divine capabilities.

If you engage in activities and behaviors that stimulate the lower part of your being (sahu/subconscious), you will have lowly existence and attract low influences. If you engage in activities and behaviors that stimulate the higher part of your being (BA/Superconscious), you will have a high vibe and will attract high influences.

Ancient African Spirituality is doing what is Right not (necessarily) what is, Easy

29 07 2017

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know there is a lot of confusion about what ancient African spirituality is about. Some people think that it is all about receiving a cool name listing all of these ancient African spirits.  Others think that it is all about living with no consequences for your actions and behaviors.

I understand and know this because I remember that when I first became interested in ancient African spirituality.   I came across this book where this lady was given instructions to get a particular man by offerings the orisha Oshun a pumpkin with her loved interests name inside of it, along with other objects sacred to the Yoruba orisha of love. The lady was also instructed after her petition was answered to make a weekly offering to Oshun for her continual blessings. After this lady made the offerings, Oshun brought this lady and man together but a few years later. The couple began to have all sorts of problems, until one day her husband became so furious that he grabbed the weekly offerings the lady was making to Oshun and threw them on the floor. When the lady went to the individual who gave her the initial instructions for capturing her loved interest. She was simply told that the same way Oshun brought them together, she could dissolve their relationship as well.

I remember that after reading this story I thought that all ancient African spirituality was all about was you doing a spell and “Voila!” You magically get what you want, so long as you keep the spirits happy. What I learned, the hard way I might add, is that this is not African spirituality. This is what the Hollywood horror films and other misinformation about African traditions want you to believe ancient African spirituality is about.

It is true that if you make an offering to the spirits, that “Voila!” They will give you what want or at least put you in the right place to get what you want. However, after you get what you want, you still have to do the work to keep it. For instance, if you do a love spell for the spirits to get you a man or woman, but you do not know how to keep that man or woman because you have a “stank” attitude, bad manners, you talk “at” your loved one instead of “to” your loved one, etc. Guess what? That person you attracted is going to leave because this is “African influenced magic” not ancient African spirituality. African magic makes up a very small percentage of ancient African spirituality. I would say at least 2 – 5%, while the bulk of ancient African spirituality involves working on yourself.

You see, African spirituality is based upon what I call the Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self) and involves working on yourself because it understands. That most of our problem are self-created, self-induced and self-inflicted problems that stem from our sahu (subconscious). In other words, most of our problems are due to destructive, nasty and negative habits that we most likely learned during our childhood.

This is hard for a lot of people to accept because many do not understand how they got their destructive habits. Well, don’t beat yourself up about them because as I mentioned. You got them subconsciously (sahu), which means you did not deliberately learn these destructive and negative habits. As a child, you indiscriminately imitated them because your Ab (conscious mind/spirit heart) was not developed. When we are all children, we are all very impressionable and believe everything that we see and hear as the gospel truth.  To get real with you, a lot of what we believe is the gospel truth, we learned from our parents – primarily our mothers.

Yes. Many of the things that our mothers taught us is the reason we are having problems because as children. Our mother cannot do wrong, after all she carried us in her womb for nine months, breastfed us and was the first human being to teach us anything. She repeated everything to us and took the time to teach us the first things that make us who we are. To many of us, subconsciously Mom is (the first) God and God cannot do any wrong, so it is hard for many of us to accept that our Mom may have taught us something incorrectly.

But, what we have to understand that if there is something that we are in the habit of doing and it is not working for us. It is not Maa (Truth), which means it is not based upon the Ba (Higher Self) but upon the sahu (lower self) and to be exact, our parents (or Mom’s) opinionated perspective.

So what does all of this mean?

Well, it means that your personality, which was influenced by your Mom (and/or parents) is not who you are, but how you are in the habit of acting and behaving as.

In African spirituality you can’t say, “This is how I am” , “Just accept me for who I am” or “I can’t do x, y and z” because this is not who you are. This is what you are in the habit of acting and behaving as. Who you are is based upon your Ba (Superconscious/Higher Self), which is a clean slate that means you can become anyone and anything.

In other words, you may come from a broken home, which means psychologically speaking. You most likely when you grow up will have relationship problems because this is what you are habitually familiar with due to your subconscious (sahu) programming.  However, you have a Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self), which means that you can change this subconscious program and have a happy relationship.  You simply have to ask your Spirits to help and work through your conditionings.

No, it is not going to be Easy (all the time) but it is the Right thing to do and it is worth it. History is full of examples of individuals who have overcome incredible odds that were stacked up against them to become healthy, wealthy, powerful and influential people. If they can do it, you can too!

Hru and Set – Fighting the Devil Within

Only angry, egotistical and lazy people say, “This is who I am” as an excuse for their destructive, nasty and negative behavior.  Being yourself is great if it works for you but, if keep hitting a brick wall in regards to your health, finances, career, relationships, etc. Yourself, is most likely a subconscious (sahu) habit learned when you were younger.  And, this is the reason in the Kemetic tradition, our subconscious (sahu) habitual self (lower self) or ego-self is symbolized as Set (Typhon in Greek, Set-an or Satan in Judeo-Christian belief ), the spirit of chaos, havoc, laziness, stubborness and destruction.

You will know it is Set influencing your behavior because Set fights against positive change and wants you to continue to blame others for your shortcomings. Set is the lord of excuses and wants you to keep getting the same results using the same old conditional thinking. He will use everything within his power, especially fear to discourage you away from positive change.

The beauty of ancient African spirituality is that it focuses on your Ba (Superconscious or Higher Self), which is symbolized as Osar (Osiris).  Osar wants reminds us that at any time we can hit the reset and start over because our Ba gives us a clean slate like a blackboard that can be erased.

In other words, it does not matter where you come from or what your background is because your past does not define who you are. It only indicates what you have overcome. Therefore, the magic of ancient African spirituality is that it helps us to not focus on what we are, but what we can become.

Time for New Clarification on Blackness

1 07 2016

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

I hope you all are doing well. I was biding my time and waiting but I had to break Internet silence because everyone has been talking about this Jesse Williams speech that was delivered at the BET Award ceremony.  So, I had to say something because I see the energy going down the alley and it is about to get hijack. Let me explain.

Malcolm X

Before I even talk about Williams’ speech, there are two things we need to understand. The first is that when has any message, speech, movement, etc. broadcasted over national airways actually benefited us? I have said it before, when Denzel Washington did not receive an award for his performance in Spike Lee’s Malcolm X film. It became obvious, “Of course he would not receive an award because this does not support the image that “they” want to portray around the world about Black people.” They want people to think that Black people are just good for sports, entertainment and are sex-prone violent drug addicted people, which is why Denzel got an award for Training Day.

denzeltrain-645x370

This is the reason I stopped watching the BET (and every other award ceremony including the NAACP Image Awards, Oscars, Emmy, Music Award, etc.)  because I realized our liberation would never be promoted, supported and broadcast by any media outlet.  Simply put, it is not good business for our Enemy, so first thing first. Anything good for our enemy is always bad for us. Anything that is bad for our enemy is good for us, which is the reason “they” will never cease demonizing our traditional African culture, but will always tell us that this perverted form of Christianity practiced in this country is a perfect fit for us.

This brings me to the second point, which is the reason we keep getting suckered into watching these shows and taken advantage of mentally, physically and spiritually is because “they” realized what we refuse to accept, that ever since Africans were brought to North America. There has always been two groups of Black people: 1) the Nationalist African Americans, who for the most part support ideas about independence, Pan-Africanism, etc. and, 2) those who are pro-American inclusion.

Ganga Zuumba

In simple terms, we can say when the first Africans were brought to this country there were some who were like “I want to go back to Africa and die where my ancestors were buried” and a second group that said, “I want to stay here and make the best out of this new land we’re in.” For the record, this is how all of the Africans felt all over the Western hemisphere and it is illustrated in the Carlos Dieges’ movie Quilombo when the soon to be Maroon crowned king, Ganga Zuumba (played by Tony Tornado shown above) successfully revolted against the slave owners.  After doing so, he asked his recently escaped brothers and sisters what they wanted to do.  One of the African elders accompanying them says, “I want to go back home” and Ganga says, “I am going to stay here.”

Both groups have valid claims and points.

For instance, from a pro-American inclusion perspective the United States is very much our country because our ancestors’ blood, sweat and tears, deem it so, which means that next to the Native Americans, no other people besides us has claim to this country. From this perspective, even though we are discriminated against, we are owed every right and privilege this country has to offer. Yet, at the same time, from a Nationalist perspective because our ancestors were kidnapped, raped, murdered, persecuted, etc. this country owes us a substantial debt, which is why some want land or to be recognized as a sovereign nation. So, you see, both points are valid because we are like Puerto Ricans but the difference is that we have no territory to call our own. The Africans who wanted to go back to Africa when they first arrived decided to make this country their home but they wanted their own land to do so.  The other Africans who wanted to settle and make the best out of this country have been trying to prove their self-worth and be accepted as citizens.  Consequently, we are treated more like the Native Americans with the added difference that 1) most of us do not see ourselves as a nation as the indigenous people of this country do, and 2) “They” really don’t want us because they established this country as free society for them and only them, and not any people of color.

Stuck with a dilemma, “they” decided the only way to deal with it is to co-opt with the Africans who wanted to stay here because if they showed that we fought in every war this country has been in.The majority of us would get the idea like our maroon brothers and sisters had in the Caribbean and South America, to take what is owed and build their own free community or free state. This is the reason every war movie portrays them as being the only one who have fought for this country. Here’s a small list – Schindler’s List, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Platoon, and so on.

Glory

In order for us and the world to see people of colors’ contribution, a special movie has to made like Red Tails, Glory, Windtalkers and even then if is not classified as an ethnic movie (e.g. a so-called Black movie because it has an all black cast, etc.), the movie is not about us. It is about “them” leading or saving us “people of color” again.

Windtalkers

Therefore, inclusion serves them (White Supremacy) so to create the illusion that we are accepted. “They” award us for supporting their cause. You see people are crying racism but you are not understanding how racism is played.

Think about it. Why were Black people boycotting the Academy last year? Answer. They did not have a lot of Black people in movies and receiving awards. Now, the Academy Awards just recently invited 41% people of color, to show that they can say they are diversified, and we can say they are making progress. I guarantee you that they have a lot of two-fers too. You know like a woman who is also a person of color. By the way 48% women were invited.

Oscars 2016 Members List

Are you seeing the game?

Now that we have that established, if you look at every revolt and every act of insurrection that African Americans have had in this country. Their start and their end can be traced back to the ideologies that exists in both of these groups.  For instance, look at the Nat Turner revolt. Turner was tired of the mistreatment and hypocrisy of the land, so he led an armed revolted and moved to establish his own free land, hence Nationalism.  Turner’s revolt was sabotaged by those closest to him. Why? Because they wanted to be included into the American fabric of society.

Nat Turner Revolt

Let’s jump to the Civil Rights Era. As you already know, Malcolm (Malcolm X or El Hajj Malik Shabazz) was a known Nationalists and if you listen to any of his speeches when he was in the Nation of Islam and after he left.  You will hear that he never changed his tune. He wanted independence. Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. on the other hand, was all about inclusion.

malcolm-martin

As I mentioned earlier, so that you don’t get to thinking ill about King, both have valid points. A lot of people today rag on the Dr. King but as I stated earlier, besides the Native Americans, there is no other group that has bled and died for this country like us, so it belongs to us just as much.  OK. However, the problem with the inclusion strategy is that the enemy always uses it against us. This is the reason Malcolm initially did not want to include any other race in his organization. He changed his mind after he realized that racism was so deeply ingrained into Western culture that there were people who wanted to do good but unconsciously were being racist as well.

So you see, we have these two valid perspectives that are tearing us apart because the enemy is playing both against each other. As I mentioned before, we are like the people of Puerto Rico or the Native Americans with the difference being that we do not have any land (economic resources). We are on borrowed land (that is owed to us), paying an expensive rent, arguing among ourselves on if we should be a nation within a nation, and/or be included into this nation called the United States of America. Unfortunately, because no one has actually put a finger on it and identified that our problem is not about religion.  It is not about politics per se.  It is not about money but about Self-identity. The bad thing is that everyone knows that this is our problem except for us and they exploit it as much as they can, which is the reason we identify with each other and others on silly superficialities, namely religion and colorism.

Now, I am about to step on some toes. Everyone knows that it is cool to be black and this is the reason the enemy sides with the inclusion perspective.

Clinton

So you want proof? When Bill Clinton was running for president and came into the Black Churches and wooed us. What were the policies he talked about? Do you remember? Let me change the question. What do you remember about Bill Clinton’s campaign? Answer. He smoked weed and can play a saxophone, which inspired our silly so-called leaders to repeat that same stupid mantra, “Clinton is the first Black president.” We should have been ashamed and cried foul when people repeated this stupid comment because what they were actually saying was that all black people do is smoke weed and play music. He did not woo us saying he was going to bring back industry that left Detroit, Cleveland, Philly, Chicago, L.A. etc.

New Jim Crow

He did not woo us by saying that he would not sign (or at least would table) the bill that made the 3 Strikes-You-Out bill law. The law that people today are seeing had racist undertones from the beginning because it only targeted Black and Latino communities. It is all in black-and-white in Michelle Alexander’s book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness.  No. I can still here the dumb jokes today, “Clinton is a brother. He smoke weed and he plays the saxophone.”

Obama

Obama making the gesture of “Peace Out” and Dropping the Mic.

Let’s jump to the present president. Our first “so-called Black” president.  What was Obama’s campaign focus? Oh, that’s right…Change. But what type of change? What did Obama say that he was going to change? If you go back and look at his campaign, it was all nostalgic rhetoric that was interpreted as a black man in the white house. Why did we vote for him? Because we said that he was black. We identified that here is a man of color who smoked weed, walked with a swagger, gave speeches a little bit like our preachers (rhymes and poetry), plays basketball and sing and he can Al Green song. All of the superficial things that people identify with being black culture. I mean people crying and talking about how history is going to be made because a man of color would finally sit in the oval office.  Now, even our people who supported him are like they cannot believe Obama got in the white house and did not do a damn thing for our communities. Of course, part of this was our fault because we did not take him an agenda but Obama like a lot of entertainers played us like Elvis. Then, we he got what he wanted, he decided to do whatever he pleased.

Do you see that they are “Black” only when it is convenient because to them it is an act, a play, a show. It has nothing to do with our STRUGGLE.

So, now we come to Williams’ speech but before we go there, let’s talk about your girl Beyoncé. She does this whole must see video and claims to pay homage to the Black Panthers, who 10-20 years ago were not even mentioned on national television. Now, after most of the original members have been killed and countless black men and black women have been murdered, it is cool to talk about the Black Panthers and pay homage to them? I mean do you think if Huey (P. Newton) and Eldridge (Cleaver) were alive today that they would be support what she is doing? Of course not because she is playing Black.  You see it is popular and convenient. Everyone knows that a lot of Black people are fed up, so now you have all of these performers claiming that they are down with the Cause. I mean come on. Have you ever seen Malcolm smiling in any of the photos taken back in the day? There are not many because he was angry about the whole situation we were in. The only time you see Malcolm smiling is when he is taking a picture with his family or a picture with other people who were trying to make change.

Beyonce

Now, let’s deal with Williams’ speech. I refuse to give him or the movements he represents a lot of power so I am not going to break it down stanza per stanza. But, he begins by saying the award was for the countless women leading the movements, as if the available men in our community are sitting around on their loins. I mean seriously, Brothers got weblogs and other things on the Internet to create jobs within the community.  One Brother has made four movies documenting our struggle and to bring awareness of our plight to the younger generation, but no recognition for that. There are Black men all around this country who know that the reason kids are getting in the gangs is because of lack of guidance and other social ills, who have created programs and doing everything they can to stop the violence affecting our community. Then, ever since the late Bro. Amos Wilson and Dr. Claude Anderson brought to our awareness we need economic power, we (Black men and Black women) have been building businesses left and right.

So what the hell is Williams’ talking about that Black men need to do better?

This is the same stupid crap Obama said a year ago and the reason he said  when the racism started rising in this country.  Why did he say something like that? It is because he does not live in our community. He does not know what we are doing and what we are not doing.  Most of these individuals who make statements like this only know what a Black Man is doing based upon their warped definition and understanding of manhood. And, this is usually because these individuals got “Daddy issues.” Yeah. Remember Obama had daddy issues?

People who live in our community know our struggles. We know what our problems are because we live with them on a day-to-day basis.  We know that both Black Men and Black Women are the doing their damnest to change things. To say that only Black Women are making an effort to change things is an attack to divide our ancestral concept of what a Family is. So, don’t be fooled.

Next, people applauded Williams and said that his speech stole the show.  People were claiming that his speech was very motivating but if you read it carefully it is scripted. There are rhymes and it resembles a street preacher’s words. It almost sounds like Jesse Jackson.

“We’ve been floating this country on credit for centuries, and we’re done watching and waiting while this invention called whiteness uses and abuses us, burying black people out of sight and out of mind while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment like oil – black gold! – ghettoizing and demeaning our creations and stealing them, gentrifying our genius and then trying us on like costumes before discarding our bodies like rinds of strange fruit.”

When you take a minute and read Williams’ speech you see that just like Obama’s campaign, Beyonce’s video, etc. his speech moved the crowd. He dropped words and codes that triggered memories about slavery, discrimination and even Billy Holiday’s Strange Fruit. He did not say anything new that has not been said before. It was another speech about Hope…Faith…and Change. The same crap, just a different orator. Let me spell it out. Williams just got promoted to be the NEW FACE TO REPRESENT US.

Williams speech was all a PERFORMANCE.

Now, I am not saying that he does not have good intentions because I do not know this man’s heart but it was an act.  Plain and simple. Sidebar: It would have been more credible if he had read his speech from a paper but there was no paper. That would have showed a little bit more that he was genuine.

The question is, why did he say all of that? There was nothing mentioned in his speech on what we should do to stop the attacks on Black men and women.  There was no strategy laid out. There was no agenda. Just like Obama’s campaign and Bill Clinton before.  Just like Beyonce claimed to be honoring the Black Panthers but did not say anything about what the Black Panthers did for their communities and how the government shut them down to inspire people to follow the Panther’s lead.  Williams speech revved people up like a preacher giving a sermon from the pulpit.   Why?

Sam

Answer: Well, Samuel Jackson, who received a lifetime achievement award, put the final nail in the coffin.  Jackson ended the award ceremony by saying basically that if we want to change what is going on to go out and vote.

That’s right! This was a low-key ritual to get Black people to take your anger on this whole mess going on in the country and vote for Hillary Clinton.  You see, Hillary has been riding Bill’s coattail and can’t act Black. They know, you are not voting for Trump but they also know you are so pissed with the whole democratic process that you are liable to not vote at all and instead move to build your world. If you go back and listen to Williams’ speech he mentioned this because more and more of us are leaning towards the Nationalist perspective. If we moved to build our own world, we would connect with those African countries and those in the Caribbean like Marcus Garvey and Elijah Muhammad had done.

But, most of us fell for the same silly trick because we identified with Williams being part black or we got lost on the whole idea that his mother is Caucasian. Again, the same superficial factors because what does this have to do with anything? By the way, what does a person’s attire, their hairstyle, their friends, where they grew up, the organizations they are associated with, etc. have to do with them being Black or not? What does claiming that you marched with King have to do with you being Black? Not a damn thing.

Sidebar: Have you ever noticed that politicians always claim to have marched with Dr. King? Meanwhile, have you ever met any Black person who marched with Dr. King to Washington yet there were thousands in D.C.  Interesting isn’t it? I mean I have yet to meet anyone (outside of politicians) who marched on Washington. It won’t be long that you will hear people saying, they marched in the Million Man March or something.

Anyway, the point that I am making is that we keep letting these people divide us based upon what they claim they identify with because we refuse to identify with our African culture and use it.

Let me make it plain.

We all have admixtures within our blood line. So unless you have recently immigrated straight from Africa, you are not a pure, 100% African.  You got blood from some other nationality.  For instance, I did the DNA genetic testing to find out where my African ancestors came from and if I had Native American ancestry.  I learned that my ancestors came from the present Kongo, Sengalese, Cameroon, Sierra Leone and Yoruba regions. But I also found to my surprise that I have a small percentage that comes from Europe.  You heard right, I have European genetics within my blood so by definition I am technically a mulatto because as K. Lamar (Kendrick Lamar) stated (and I paraphrase), “One of my Mommas did not get away fast enough.” By the way, I like all types of music including every now and then heavy metal. Oh, also I wear a shirt and tie to work on a daily basis but I have heard some people say about me, “He ain’t black” because I do not engage in the same stereotypical things that supposedly black people do like the Afros in Robert Townsends’ Hollywood Shuffle.

10-1

Do you see how ridiculous and stupid this sounds?

The Right Eye of Ra (Also known as the Solar Eye corresponds to literal and physical sight.)

The Right Eye of Ra (Also known as the Solar Eye corresponds to literal and physical sight.)

This is what is meant in the Kamitic tradition as relying upon one eye or the Right Eye of Ra. In other words, basing your decisions only upon what you physically see.

We need to recognize that Blackness has nothing to do with the color or hue of an individual’s skin. The color of an individual’s skin does not determine what is inside an individual’s heart nor does it reveal their true intentions. It is our culture that is supposed to determine if we are Black or not. Malcolm X was a light-skinned Black but does that mean that all light-skinned Blacks are going to be like him? Does this mean that dark-skinned Blacks are more “Black”?  Let me go a little further with this. Does that mean that because a person has a natural or dreadlocks, or that they wear African attire that they are down with our struggle?  Does that mean that everyone that comes from Africa is down with us? The answer to all of these questions is the same “Hell, no!”

Why? Because, Western idealism did not just affect those of us in the Americas. Like a cancer if affected those in Africa as well.  This is the reason, we can’t depend upon the old ways of association.  In other words, “Every brother (sister), ain’t a brother (sister).”

libations

This is how we should determine if an individual is Black or not.

You see, I am Black because the culture I identify with the most is Black African. If you put me in the room with other people of African descent from all over the globe. We may not speak the same language. We may be of different shades and hue. We may have different hair textures, etc. because all of this is superficial. But, I guarantee you that most of us in that room will admit to believing in the existence of God and we will also express the belief in the existence of ancestors, even if we do not publicly venerate them the same. It is this cultural perspective that will make us family because we have an ancestral bond that I cannot see with my eyes, but my ancestors recognize. In other words, I got my Left Eye of Ra repaired 1.

The Left Eye of Ra refers to spiritual insight and ancestral knowledge. See people can “act Black” all they want. They can sing, dance, walk and act cool all they want. They can “Elvis” us all they want but they can’t perpetrate when it comes to the dealing with our ancestors.

Now, if you asked me if I think that Obama (and for that matter, many of our so-called leaders) were black or not. I would say, based upon our cultural practices, “No” because he doesn’t venerate his ancestors or his ancestral past. You see, many of the policies that Obama has made are contradictory to our ancestral legacy. There is no way, I would have went over to Africa and told them that they have to accept the American way or else. That is just blatant disrespectful but you can understand why he did that when you understand that he identifies more with Western culture, which historically and arrogantly dictates to others what “they” think is best. This is why he took this same Westernize arrogance to Cuba and told these people what they should and should not do. This is not true African behavior or cultural etiquette. Everyone who grew up “Black” knows you do not go to someone else’s house and disrespect them. This is not proper “Black culture” but it is Western culture. Westerners have historically demonstrated this behavior all over the globe. Do you see the difference between categorizing someone as being black based upon culture versus their skin tone, performance, etc.?

Of course, you are probably saying, “But how could we know if Obama (or anyone else for that matter) is down with us ancestrally?” Well, that’s when the oracle comes into the picture, which is also part of Black culture. If we really practiced our culture, when a politician came in trying to woo us.  If we had a godmother like Celia Cruz in the Mambo Kings, who went into trance and came out saying, “The Spirits say, you are no good for us.”

Or an Auntie that performed biblical divination by randomly opening the bible and the first thing they read said something about a plague, so they said, “You sir are going to bring destruction. You are no good.” Our situation would drastically change. It would change so quick because if every time someone tried to woo us we went into trance, did bibliomancy, threw some shells, shook some yarrow sticks, did an i-ching reading (something) to see what the ancestors had to say about the matter. People would know that they better step to us correctly or don’t step at all, instead of getting a pass because of their superficialities of our culture.

You see, I did a reading on Williams’ speech and the oracle said, “It is a PERFORMANCE.” No, guesswork, so I don’t care how moving his speech may have been. My ancestors told me, that his heart is not aligned with mine at this time. Meaning, it may change, then again, it may not but presently, his views does not represent my ancestry or reflect our struggle.

We keep getting in a bind and blindsided because our enemy knows how to entertain us in order to move us to do something.  We cry conspiracy and illumati but the way out of this madness is to consult a higher source like our ancestors.  We need to stop taking everyone’s words at face value and assuming that they will deliver on their promise because of the color of their skin or the religion they are in.

We need to make a change and do something different by invoking the wisdom of our ancestral past. There are too many color variations, admixtures and other variations for us to determine if someone’s intentions are aligned with our cultural values. Besides, people lie all of the time and you can’t always tell a book by its’ cover. We should only trust those whom our oracles tell us to trust. Instead of going through all of the guesswork.

We need to stop being afraid of our true culture and embrace it.  We need to let our ancestors be our guide and ask them for insight in determining if someone is on our side. Instead of trying to figure it all out with just one eye. It is only when we use our spiritual eye and our physical eye that we get a holistic view of an individual (and group) and know if it is in our best interest.

Hope that helps.

  1. According to the Kamitic Story of Osar, the hero of the story Hru has his eye (believed to be the intuitive eye or Left Eye of Ra) gouged out by the enemy symbolizing that he only sees one perspective and lives an imbalance life, which is the reason he can never defeat his enemy. It is only after the hero of the story meets the shaman-sage Djahuti (Thoth) and repairs Hru’s eye, that Hru is able to invoke his ancestor Osar and finally defeat Set, thus reclaiming his birthright (what was owed).
