The Power of Trance Pt. 2 – Kamitic Holidays (Why You Better Watch Out!)

11 12 2011

Hetepu (Peace) Again Family,

Ok, let me be Frank with you (pun intended).  No seriously. Let me explain to you why you better watch out and the importance of trance. I am not sure if I told you this or not but last year around this time. I had to do the Holiday thing and I went to these people’s house that my wife knew. Now, we had to drive there and the trip was around 1.5 hours. Anyway, as I was driving, I kept seeing hawks flying around. Hawks are the totem animals of Hru (Greek Horus). I mean I could have passed this off as mere coincidence, but there was more than four of them that crossed my path. There was one that was even flying alongside the car as I was driving, so I knew it was a sign from Hru. What was Hru trying to tell me? I wasn’t sure but I was on point (guard).

Well, we got to the house and the atmosphere was tense but people proceeded with the festivities. We ate and watched television.  Then out of nowhere an argument broke out and it almost turned into a full-blown fight. Immediately following people just started leaving and after helping clean up. My wife and I left.

It dawned on me afterwards that the hawks, which I didn’t see anymore at the incident was Hru warning me to watch out and be on guard, so I didn’t get caught up in that mess. Later when we asked how did the argument started, we were told it began because the kids were playing with the dog and had made it angry. Yeah, something that simple almost led to a full – flown fight.

Now, that a year has passed and people still remember the incident to this day. I know why people offer Npu (Santa) sweets.  It’s to keep his jolly and festive spirit happy, so that people can have a safe, prosperous and enjoyable time.  You have to remember that even though the world chooses to make something sacred profane doesn’t mean that it is going to stop being sacred. Npu is an energy and people can tip around all they want with gifts, that’s all good and nice, do whatever you want.  But, the Npu – the Spirit of Christmas is about giving, sharing and joy making. If you forget him, as all people who know about this Divine Trickster, he will truly abandon you.

So again, I say:

You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why:
Npu (Santa) is coming to town!

He’s making a list,
Checking it twice,
Gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.
Npu (Santa Claus) is coming to town!

He sees you when you’re sleeping,
He knows when you’re awake.
He knows if you’ve been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake!

Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why:
Npu (Santa Claus) is coming to town!

The Power of Trance – Pt. 1 Adapting Kamitic Spirituality to the Holidays

11 12 2011

Hetepu (Peace) Family,

As another year comes to a close the time has come to think about what it is that we want in the future. Yes, that’s right.

“What do you want little boy or little girl for Christmas?”

What?  You don’t believe in Santa Claus. Well, you should because he’s real. No, he’s not a physical man riding around in a sleigh being pulled by magical reindeer led by Rudolph.  In order to shoot down a chimney and deliver toys.  No, Santa Claus is what the Greek philosopher Plato calls a Form; Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung calls an archetype, what people nowadays call a guardian spirit and what the Kamitic (ancient Egyptian) philosophers called thousands of years ago a netcharu.

That’s right. Santa Claus is a real spiritual entity that travels around the world at night from the North Pole.  There, in the north, which according to the orthodox kabbalah and the maa aankh is the direction of Hell, is where Santa and his little helpers are at making toys and things.

To prepare for Santa, Saint Nick (Nicholas for short) or Sinister Claus as he used to be called, in the Medieval World, he was offered nuts, fruits and wine to sweeten his disposition. The tradition continues today with children leaving him cookies, candies, flan (if your Latino) and milk because Ole Nick has a ravenous appetite for alcoholic beverages and can become quite unruly if he drinks too much.

Still don’t recognize who Santa Claus really is? Well, you have to go into trance to see him. This is how you see spirits. When you go into trance your brain moves from the normal beta state to the alpha state, because your ab (conscious awareness) has shifted from your sahu (subconscious) to your ba (superconscious). In other words, your awareness is introverted, which allows you to see spiritual things among other “things”. When your ab is extroverted you can only see things from a superficial level. You can see all of the parts and not be able to see the whole picture. For instance, you see Santa Claus from a literal perspective, as being a figment of imagination, of most likely of European origin, that wears red clothing, makes a list, loves children, punishes the wicked and fail to see that Santa Claus is the European syncretism of the Kamitic Npu (the Santeria Ellegua, Umbanda Exu and Palo Lucero) who Opens the Way.  All of these gifts are offerings of fertility, so that he does not act/rule against you and allow you to suffer (at the jaws of Aummit).

So come on.  Don’t deprive your children and yourself of material and spiritual blessings. Who cares that you know the true history of Christmas.  Can you use it to improve your life with it? Can you explain it to your child?  Is your child cool with it or are they sitting around looking at other kids wishing they had another life? Adapting is how we have survived and the way to reintroduce ourselves back to our cultural way is by making changes.  Let us not forget that most of the holidays that exist were originally Kamitic, based upon the Kamitic calendar and Kamitic spiritual science.  In a desperate move for political control, Roman  Catholicism built on top of them. That’s the history but we need to focus on today. So, leave some sweets out for your Npu and remember…

You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why:
Santa Claus or Npu is coming to town!

In part 2 I will explain why it is important to appease Npu and how Aummit manifests itself.

How to Communicate with the Egyptian Gods/Goddesses (Netcharu)

12 06 2011

My bad…My bad…You know, when I first posted information about the netcharu or Kamitic guardian spirits on the “Who and What Are the Ancient Egyptian Gods?“, I posted the Roman Catholic correspondences because the saints help me to assist those coming from this background.  I forgot to post their Christian associations, which are the forms these guardian spirits took when they first communicated to me, since I come from a fundamentalist Christian background.  I will post their corresponding forms in this post, but before doing this I wanted to explain how I made these connections.

I was not trying to plug and play but really trying to understand how these guardian angels could speak with me. I knew that others like Ra Un Nefer Amen of the Ausar Auset Society had done it using surviving information from the Indus Kush and Yoruba tradition to make a connection, but I was in the spiritual desert or TASETT (see the maa aankh) at the time. I didn’t know anything about the Indus Kush or Yoruba tradition when I first began. So I would have to try and understand both of those traditions just to scratch the surface of what I needed. I went through this arduous and long intellectual process because as I stated I was raised as an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian, which basically means “Jesus only!” For those of you who don’t know what this means, let me give you a real brief explanation.  This faith, along with Jehovah Witnesses, believes that if you do not accept Jesus (or Jehovah in the case of Jehovah Witnesses) as your sole lord and savior that your soul is going to hell (or annihilated). Your salvation is in the hands of the Lord and while giving up one’s individuality and the right to question God was considered heresy.  So, even though culturally speaking I was raised to believe in spiritual beings that we called angels or ministering spirits.  Talking to them was seen as border lining on devil worship in their eyes, so in a way you were raised to ignore your culture.

I had read numerous books on the subject and still had no clear understanding of these spirits until I met my Cuban padrino who told me a story about the orishas. Papa, the name I called him, told me a legend he learned when he was in Cuba. I am giving a condense form of the story but he basically goes like this. At bars, when Oggun comes in with Oshun, all hell breaks loose because Oshun only has eyes for Chango, which leads to Oggun and Chango fighting and that’s when Ochosi comes and carts everyone to jail.  As Elegua sits in the corner laughing at the mischief he just caused.

If you ever went to a party or bar and witnessed fighting this is usually how it occurs, which gave me the foundation I needed to connect with the netcharu myself.  It was shamanic meditation that helped me to move beyond the intellectual phase of just giving a definition of the netcharu, to actually interacting with them.

Since the Kamitic writers of old did not leave any texts explaining who and what the netcharu were and where they came from, a number of theories have been created to fill the intellectual void. Some believe they were created out of the blue, while others believe that they were anthropomorphized from nature.  I think that both of these theories are an insult to the Kamitic people of old intelligence and believed that these guardian spirits were once upon living people. For instance, the first legendary ruler of Kamit who united the kingdom was King Menes also known as King Narmer. This is no netchar named Narmer but, the closest netchar resembling these historic feats is Osar.

Why was King Narmer given another name you might ask? I don’t know for sure but my guess is that by honoring him using his name he could really only be honored as an ancestor by immediate family. By rewarding him the name Osar he was able to be honored as a saint by all people, including those outside of his family lineage. This way anyone knowing the important points of his story, because the historical account of Osar (Narmer) at this time was probably lost, could invoke the memory of the first king.  It was by admiring the positive attributes of the individual that these guardian spirits or ancestral archetypes were created that we call netcharu.  But as previously stated, the Kamitic people didn’t leave any texts explaining who the netcharu were, so with no existing information on them what do you do? How do you make contact with them? Well, by relying upon my Christian upbringing and Afro-spiritual culture.  I recalled that when the early Africans were brought to Protestant Christian North America, they were not able to create the same type of religious syncretism that their kin had done in the Caribbean and South America. They took the existing knowledge that they brought with them from Africa and using the bible created or “conjured” their own ancestral archetypes.  Using the same technique with the Kamitic guardian spirits and the bible, I conjured the netcharu and they are:

Osar (Osiris by the Greek) is Jesus

Oset  (Isis) is Mary the mother of Jesus

Hru manifested himself to me as King David from his extraordinary, naïve triumphs of a child over the giant to the humbling positioning he was placed in due to his arrogance, chauvinism and abuse of power.

Nebhet is Queen Esther, the queen that used beauty, riches and pleasure to defeat her enemy.

Hruaakhuti is none other than the two sword wielding apostle Peter

Sokar is the biblical Job who showed me how to be persistent and dance in the face of trials, tribulations, obstructions and especially illness. It was Sokar that taught me that the righteous are the ones that are reborn.

Maat appeared to me as John the Baptist the jailed prophesier who abided by and preached to the people about the Law

Djahuti is King Solomon, the alleged wisest man in the bible.

Npu is the lucky, faithful and optimistic Joseph the Dreamer. Another one of Npu’s avatars is the biblical Moses.

These ancestral archetypes that our ancestors conjured helped me to communicate with the guardian spirits or netcharu.  One lesson I had to learn was that Spirit is unlimited. It is not bound by time and space nor is it confined to rigidness of color, ethnicity or affiliation. Spirit can manifest itself through anyone and anything.  The connection has to be based upon energy.  This understanding helped me to see that even though these ancestral archetypes are not as prevalent as they were years ago. A comparison between the Kamitic legend, the biblical stories and documentaries about African American culture will give you a connection to the netcharu.  For instance, you can see the dreaming and great oratory skills of Npu manifested in Joseph the Dreamer and Moses in many preachers and leaders like Martin L. King Jr.  The same brute and sharp swords of Hruaakhuti can be seen in the Apostle Peter expressed through Malcolm X. The wisdom of Djahuti seen in the words of Solomon is expressed in the late great John H. Clarke. While the courageous, golden tongue and heir of Osar, Hru can be read about in King David’s biblical psalms and other great adventures, and seen in Muhammad Ali, and so on. Through them one can see how to invoke the power of God for self-improvement and wellbeing.

What is Practical Kamitic Spirituality?

18 04 2011

Some people have asked me what do I mean by “Practical Kamitic Spirituality?”  Well, before answering I have to say that it amazes me that whenever someone talks about Kamitic spirituality (or spirituality in general), the first thing that they want to discuss is metaphysics.  They come in talking about astrology, the stars, etc. when I ask one question like, “Do you have any peace?”

I feel like Neo talking to the Source. Like…

“DUDE…WTH are you talking about?”

“I asked you a simple Yes or No question.

And you gave me a whole search engine of answers.”

I mean, I ain’t mad or anything becuz I use to be just like this equating knowledge/information as wisdom. It took me a “minute” to figure out that true spirituality can’t be learned from a book anyway, because books are nothing but guides. They can point you in the right direction but they can’t make you live maa (truth).

Now don’t get me wrong. Metaphysics, history, science, religion, philosophy, etc. are all dope and I use to study all of these subjects in order to help me make sense of life. The goal of course was that through studying these subjects somehow I would become more enlightened and develop a more intimate relationship with God by merging consciousness with the Divine.  I had dreamed that through these efforts I would be able to accomplish anything because I was finally one with God. Then something remarkable happened.

That’s right. I woke up (hahaha).

Fortunately I had someone who helped me to understand.  That the expansion of the mind and spirit, in order to achieve oneness with the Divine is great, but if the mystical way cannot help you to be a better husband or wife, have a healthier body, pay your bills on time, be a better friend, etc.? Then it is useless.

A practical perspective would be to use spiritual practices and techniques to attain real everyday goals as the ones mentioned earlier. If one for instance, meditated on trying to improve their behavior, finances, etc. If during the practice they happened to merge consciousness then that’s great, but if they don’t. It is still great because it was not purpose of the meditation in the first place.  Enlightenment as you can see from a practical Kamitic perspective is just a pleasant side effect like a bonus.

It is through the practical approach one begins to see that there is a big difference from reading and studying truth versus living truth, hence the maa aankh. When you read and study truth what you are really doing is reading about what someone else thinks.  And, if you search the web, you will find that there are a lot of theories out there, which can be like Mr. Smith.

It is only when you really begin to live TRUTH that you realize that everything that physically exists came into existence from the Spirit.  Therefore, a thought is impressed upon the Spirit causes things to manifest from the spiritual into the physical.  This makes it possible for you to manifest miracles in your life through the Power of God regardless of what one believes and thinks. You can then propose your own theory as to how things work because it is based upon your experience, your TRUTH.

So, when I say Practical Kamitic Spirituality, I mean just that… Something that works! I am talking about knowing that Npu (Anpu/Anubis) is real because you have seen his red/black/white physical manifestation appear to you via a stranger to guide you away from danger. This is one way I knew that God hears our prayers.  This is what I mean by practical, like what has Kamitic spirituality done and continues to do.  You know, I recovered from an illness and part of the reason why this miracle occurred was because I stopped focusing on how I got it and how to overcome it. Instead I focused on what I wanted, which was to be healthy. It took a little time but in time my spirit was convinced that I was never ill. I got a job the same way and money for a project the same way.  Some would call it magic but if I have used the same procedure several times to get similar results. I think we call that science, right?

So, the time has come for us to get real and find the earthly words to express this divine logic.  It is time out for messing around because people are in need of a healing. It is time to let people know that Kamitic spirituality is real and their descendants are spread throughout the diaspora.

So, don’t get boggled down with the mystical theories.  Accept that miracles happen. In fact, believe that miracles happen and when that miracle happens in your life.  Be grateful for it. Accept it and then ask to understand it.

What is the Kamitic/Kemetic Way of Life?

28 05 2010

Hetepu (Peace) Family.

pyramid sunrise_754472

I have answered this question numerous times. In the beginning, I use to give a real lengthy discourse, but I am older and much wiser, and I hope this short post answers the question for you.  Now, there is a lot that has been written about the Kamitic/Kemetic Way of Life because the Kamitic/Kemetic people and their society mean a lot of things to different people. The Kamitic/Kemetic Way of Life to me is based upon my early experiences.

You see, when I first began learning about Kamit/Kemet, I am not going to lie; I was amazed and just fascinated by all of the metaphysical principles. So much so, that I really tried to apply them to my life. What ended up happening was that I found myself participating in various study groups and attending numerous lectures where I saw the same people all the time. At the same time because my ideas and beliefs were considered so radical from my family and peers, I was somewhat ostracized. Things got a whole lot worse before they got better, but to make a long story short, looking back at all that I experienced I basically was a “metaphysical/spiritual groupie”.

The Aakhut or Right Utchat
(The Solar Eye – corresponds to the factual, logical, and rational information)

For the longest time I couldn’t understand what was going wrong. I mean I read, studied my lessons, and I tried as best I could to eat right, but I just was not growing.  I felt spiritually impotent even though my personal library consisted of over 250 books at such a young age.

Red Deshret Crown

Red Deshret Crown

I didn’t know it at the time but the reason I was not growing was because I just had like Hru, the red Deshret crown. This crown corresponds to TASETT the Red Lands, which symbolizes the physical realm and lower self. It also corresponds to the Right Solar Eye, which is based solely upon what we have learned from our family, friends (and enemies), community, etc. All of our factual information and everything we have learned about our environment, including our beliefs and ideas are associated with this crown.

TASETT - The Red Lands. Literally also known as the desert region of Lower Kamit or Egypt. Metaphorically, it symbolizes our Lower Self.

TASETT – The Red Lands. Literally also known as the desert region of Lower Kamit or Egypt. Metaphorically, it symbolizes our Lower Self.

Then that’s when I met my padrino (spiritual godfather), an old black Cuban man who taught me a lot of wonderful things and helped me to understand our cultural heritage by introducing me African cosmology. Papa was an Omo Ellegua (Child of the orisha/guardian angel Ellegua), so it made sense that he magically would appear in my life like Shug Avery appeared to Celie in The Color Purple. There were a lot of things that Papa taught me but when he learned that I was reading and studying about the Kamitic/Kemetic tradition and trying to implement it into my life.  Boy he scolded me big time (laugh) and told me that it was silly to try and replicate what was done thousands of years ago, because what the Ancient Egyptians faced back then is completely different from the issues we have today. He told me instead that I should focus upon understanding the concepts and principles because the concepts and principles have a common ancestry. Then shortly after that, like Shug he disappeared only to briefly reappear to check on my progress, similar to the Kamitic/Kemetic Npu, Ellegua guides the dead because I was truly lost.

Npu Statue

At the time I didn’t really understand what Papa meant by what he had said but as the years went by it began to make more and more sense. It was like learning to speak Latin, it is a great language for referencing purposes but no one speaks Latin because it is for the most part a dead-language. Basically, everything that I had read and learned about the Kamitic/Kemetic way was good but it gave me only a one-sided perspective, a real linear, black-white viewpoint (un-holistic). This is why in the Story of Osar, Set is said to have gouged out Hru’s eye, meaning he gave Hru a limited view of things. Well, when I finally began to follow Papa’s advice, that’s when I began to get the white Hedjet crown in regards to spirituality.

White Hedjet Crown

White Hedjet Crown

The white Hedjet crown corresponds to KAMTA, the Black Lands, which symbolizes the spiritual realm and our higher self.

KAMTA - The Black Lands. Literally also known as the fertile region of Upper Kamit in the southern part of the country. Metaphorically, it symbolizes our Higher Self.

KAMTA – The Black Lands. Literally also known as the fertile region of Upper Kamit in the southern part of the country. Metaphorically, it symbolizes our Higher Self.

The spiritual realm is accessible through nonphysical or spiritual means such as by using our intuition represented as the Left Utchat or the Lunar Eye.

The Aabit or Left Utchat
(The Lunar Eye – corresponds to abstract ideas, faith, intuition, ancestors, etc.)

This is when I got a better view, a holistic view because I was introduced to my ancestors.

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

It was through my ancestors in regards to this subject matter that I acquired the double white and red Pschent crown,
which symbolizes the union of both the physical and spiritual realities, holistic view and the uniting of the higher and lower selves.

The Double Pschent Crown

The Double Pschent Crown

And, it was through my ancestors that I discovered the Maa Aankh, which helped me to realize that life is all about cycles.
We succeed, evolve and grow when we make a complete 360 degree revolution around the spiritual and physical realms like the sun.

Maa Aankh

So, what is the Kamitic/Kemetic Way of Life About?

It is about surrendering your will to your Higher Self or Spirit within so that it can lead and help you to enjoy life. Period.

Did the Secret Work For You?

6 04 2010

Have you seen the Secret?

(Sample photo of an “Npu standing in the Land of Kam” – work of art in progress).

Yeah, I know you have. I saw it too. It took the world by storm and everyone was on board about a year ago because of Oprah. The lady who wrote the book really did a good job with the publicity and I give her credit. I hold no ill feelings towards her or her success, but the Secret didn’t work for me. Even though a lot of what the authors talk about makes sense because they are based upon the “Law of Attraction” there are other laws that exist that cancel out the Law of Attraction if things aren’t working together.

I promised myself that I was not going to preach, but you know in this book they don’t explain or talk about the Spirit, which the author calls the Genie or whatever. Because they don’t talk about the Spirit (Genie) it sends out a mixed message to people, making them think that all they have to do is think positive. Let me give you an example.

One section in particular talks about how if you say “you don’t want” the Universe only hears “you want” such as if you say you don’t want a bad haircut then you will end up getting a bad haircut. Ok? But I am a real pragmatic individual. So, why did the Universe lay me off of my job when I woke up every morning saying because I was tired, “Man, I sure don’t want to go work today”?

According to the Secret, the Universe should have said, “HAHAHAHA. Rau Khu is talking silly…he’s just tired. He wants to go to work and have a job“, but it didn’t. My behind was laid off. Before the Secret came out, I was testing this whole attraction thing (before I knew that is what it is called) and I said, “I want $3000 by x, y, z date”. Guess what I got it. It was part of my severance pay!!!

So, what does this all mean? Well, there’s a saying…”Be careful what you ask for”. Why do you have to be careful? Because the Spirit or Power of God does not make a distinction between what is right or wrong, right and left, front or back, etc. It’s sole objective is as they say in the Secret to grant our wish, because God gave us freedom of choice to do whatsoever we want to do.

If we don’t put any guidelines and aren’t specific on how we want to achieve that goal.  We meet the Divine Opener of the Way (also called the Divine Trickster in some traditions) called Npu (Anubis in Greek, Elegba in Yoruba, Lucero in the Palo Mayombe tradition, Moses in Christianity and Nino de Atocha in Catholicism).

Who is Npu you ask? Without going into a long dissertation, Npu is the personal guardian angel/spirit that everyone has (regardless if they believe in him or not) given to us by God to guide us throughout life.  He is envisioned as being a young man or teenager wearing a dog/jackal mask. The dog/jackal mask is a reminder to adherents to be specific with their request and careful what they ask for because if the subject matter is not black and white or if there’s any grey areas.  You are bound to get a surprise because Npu can be very fickle and mischievous, which is the reason many assume that he is evil.  But, Npu is not evil at all.  He closes the doors (sort of speak) only to test our integrity and help us to learn about our own divinity. For instance, if I hadn’t been laid off after saying numerous times that I did want to go to work. I would never have learned that our thoughts influence our actions and just like negative thoughts yield negative results. Constructive thoughts can inspire constructive action.

So, I think the best way to get things moving is to:

1. State what you want, meaning focus only on the desired outcome and nothing else. If trying to recover from an illness don’t think about how you became ill or any of that other nonsense. Focus on enjoying your life and being healed. Try watching comedies to help you to keep your spirits up.

2. Allow the Spirit to intercede by sending you an inspiring message through Npu.

3. Follow the inspiration with action to get the desired result. Remember, you have to follow up with some kind of action to get what you want. If you don’t you are just a dreamer.

One of my personal favorites is starting from the Finish Line.   For instance, if you wanted to run a race don’t train to win the race, but instead train as if you have already won.
